This is canon. Isael (more precisely, here his name was Hayden) is 8 years older than Runaya. He has already finished school, but Runaya is not yet. Studying at school lasts 3-5 years.

Runaya grew up as a very closed child, when something terrible happened to her, she simply tried to pretend that she was not there. Hayden grew up a bit of a rebel, so he could often show himself not from the best side.
