Pride Collection 2023 - Indigo (SFW) (Patreon)
Content
In the original rainbow flag design from 1978, the seventh stripe was indigo and it was meant to represent serenity.
As the model for indigo, Alek stands for the constant work that is moving on from the past, accepting your mistakes, dismissing worries of the future, and being willing to fight to protect your peace. For him, Pride is about standing strong to send a message, to say out loud that we are never gonna go away, that we are a mountain, unyielding regardless of the storms that hit us. We are mightier than we know and we are most magnificent when we refuse to let hate get to us.
So indigo stands for serenity, yes, but more importantly, it stands for being at peace with yourself and standing firm in your convictions. It means not letting outside voices convince you that you are wrong for being who you are. Your inner voice is stronger than theirs and it's telling you to shine.
Fun fact: the pose for this one was inspired by a photoshoot by my friend Matt at Les Magiciens Photo. Go check his work out!
