2023-11-24 06:06:22 As a long time One Piece fan who read the manga and watched the anime, I rate this live-action series 10 out of 10 best. Absolute perfection! I'm so glad to hear the One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda has announced that there will be Season 2 of One Piece live-action series and I'm so looking forward to see it. Inaki Godoy did phenomenal playing as Luffy in live-action. The Going Merry ship showing the sail of the Jolly Roger wearing the straw hat looks exactly like in the anime and it's perfect. The bartender with the green hair who takes care of Luffy when he was little, her name is Makino and it was never revealed about Makino being Luffy's mom in the manga/anime and there are no twists about her. Makino is not Luffy's biological mother and she's just taking care of him since the beginning of One Piece series. It's quite epic when Luffy fought against Arlong with his Gum Gum techniques like Gatling and Battle Axe. Same with Zoro and Sanji fighting aganist Kuroobi with his Fish-Man Karate techniques and Usopp using his slingshot shooting the exploding star on Chu. The character Chu has big lips in manga/anime and chu means kiss in Japanese because of his big lips and he can spit water out of his mouth like a bullet. Also, Kuroobi's name is Kuro Obi which is the Japanese term for black belt. Luffy is incredibly strong that he just broke Arlong's giant sword called Kiribachi. I forgot to mention about Belle-mere from the last episode of when she found Nami and Nojiko when they were little in the past. Belle-mere did not killed their parents. One of Buggy the clown's pirate crew who looked like white fluffy bear, his name is Mohji and he's Buggy's first mate. He's also called Mohji the Beast Tamer. Cabaji is Buggy's second mate and he's called Cabaji the Acrobat. When I rewatch the One Piece live-action series on Netflix while listening to Japanese audio, I heard the voices of the original voice cast from the One Piece anime and they were doing the voice of their characters in this live-action series which is beyond amazing. It's so awesome hearing Mayumi Tanaka doing the voice of Luffy again. According to Tudum by Netflix article, at the Los Angeles Anime Expo 2023, audiences watched a special video from Mayumi Tanaka and she said, "I've been voicing Luffy for more than 23 years now, and I think everyone has a little bit of Luffy in their heart. Inaki, who performs Luffy in this live-action series, is so fun and joyful that he really makes a perfect Luffy," Tanaka said to Netflix. "I'm very happy to be able to voice Luffy in this adaption as well."

No spoilers about the guy using a cigar burning Luffy's wanted poster at the end. Just an advice: If you don't want to see spoilers in the comments of who the guy is with the cigars before posting a video on YouTube, you might need to add a message in the video while discovering the guy smoking cigars at the end saying, "Please, no spoilers from the manga/anime in the comments."
