The Mist is so worth watching completely blind! Wow! What did you think of this movie? Thanks for requesting this!

Welcome to our FULL UNCUT Reactions tier!

The top of our Patreon Page provides:

  • A link tab that you can click to access our main link posts to watch movies and/or shows.
  • Our FULL UNCUT Reactions tier is pinned at the top of our Patreon page.
  • A search bar where you can type in the video you want to view.

If you need any assistance with this, please private message us so we can help you. It means a lot to us that you care about what we do and enjoy our content!

There are 2 ways to watch videos-

  • YouTube: Stream Online directly
  • Google Drive: sharing only (downloading/moving to your own device) DO NOT STREAM on our account.

Google Drive has rules that must be followed. It is a file sharing service only, so please don't watch videos directly on our account. Google will punish everyone by freezing services until direct streaming stops- meaning videos won't work for anyone, even if you are following the rules (usually error messages pop up until many stop streaming).

If you wish to stream online, we provide private YouTube links in individual posts here on our Patreon, just like this post. Go to the search bar at the top of the page and type in the show/movie title. You can also ask us for help through Private Message. :)

Here is the private YouTube link for this video:

YouTube links are available first before they are available on our Google Drive.

You must provide your own movie/show content to watch along with us. It is illegal for us to include full copyright material. We do include a few visual elements to make viewing a lot easier- A timer, mirror and short clips of the content will help keep us in sync with each other. This is explained in each tier before you donate, on our main page as well as our LINK posts. We try our best to follow the law to avoid copyright issues and make enjoyable content for everyone. Thank you for understanding and for being fans! We hope you have fun here and have a great day!

Random suggestion: I wonder if it would help boost the visibility of the Storm Akima Reboot YT channel if you uploaded these full reactions to the reboot channel instead of the original Storm Akima channel. (Obviously, the links from Patreon would lead there). I mean, it wouldn't impact us patrons negatively. And maybe the YT algorithm would view that as additional traffic to the reboot channel and make it more inclined to recommend the channel on people's homepage. (Caveat: I don't actually understand how the algorithms work, but it couldn't hurt to try.) Edit: Also, fun facts. The part when the flying creatures invaded the store at night and the bug crawled on the Marcia Gay Harden character, she says, "My life for you." That was not in the original Stephen King novella that this is based on. However, this IS a phrase frequently spoken by villains in Stephen King books when pledging their allegiance to more powerful evil entities. In fact, many of King's books interconnect into a big, mystical universe. (The "Dark Tower" series of books explicitly deals with this universe, while many other books just tangentially touch on all the connections.) Anyway, Harden's character saying, "My life for you," means two things: (a) Harden is most definitely NOT on the side of good, despite her claims of Christianity. I think in that moment, we were meant to believe that she was pledging herself to whatever "side" the monstrosities are on, not God. (b) Frank Darabont who adapted the screenplay and directed this is clearly a King superfan. I mean, not only did he write/direct other King stories for the screen--Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile--but he threw in this very inside reference to the King universe. Darabont also made main character David a movie poster artist (not in the original novella), and the figure he's painting at the beginning of this movie is none other than Roland, the main character of the aforementioned "Dark Tower" series. Again, Darabont is connecting this to the larger King-verse. Finally, as Aaron alluded to above, the ending to the original King novella was not nearly this nihilistic. None of the people in the car died or offed themselves. While the Mist didn't lift, and no one was rescued, David at least heard a signal on the radio pointing towards a potential safe area unaffected by the mist. It makes for an ambiguous, but vaguely hopeful ending. Darabont wrote a much more conclusive and infinitely darker ending, which King actually liked so much he said he wished he'd thought of it when writing the original story.

Oooof! I'm about to start this reaction, and I'm afraid of how mom is gonna react to the ending. This is one of my favorite horror films. Here we go I guess! David kept his promise to his son, he didn't let the monsters get him. 😑
