Welcome to our Movie POLLS!

Welcome to the POLL LINEUP for the month of May! Please look at the schedule below. We have 3 Movie POLLS every month!

The Genre theme for this month will be Comedy

Every Monday after the first week of the month- There will be POLLS to VOTE from and to make REQUESTS!

REQUESTS made on our POLLS makes it a lot easier for us to find and add to our LIST!

Feel free to make REQUESTS in the comments below!

Monthly POLL line up:

1st Monday-

REQUESTS Only (Request here in comments below)

Give us your Live Action and Animated requests for the genre that was selected for the month and also give us your regular requests as well for the other POLLs later in the month.

2nd Monday-

Genre Specific Movie POLL (Live Action & Animation)

3rd Monday-

Live Action Movie POLL

4th Monday-

Wild Card POLL (mix of live action and animated movies and maybe a brand new movie)

Genre Selection Poll- Choose next months genre theme for the Genre Specific POLL!!

Any extra weeks in the month will be filled with another Wild Card POLL!!

We guarantee at least 4 movies every month (including Movies that win our POLLS and a random Patron request).

Please allow us 1 to 2 weeks to watch and post the Movie Winner. We're usually able to it watch sooner.

Only 1 Movie can win each Poll. If multiple movies win, we will randomly select 1.

Why?

Our Patrons have very diverse opinions on what Movies they would like us to watch, so we try our best to accommodate everyone. Our most popular requests here have always been animations and super hero films which we mainly keep off of our POLLS due to some finding that unfair, so having 1 winner keeps options open for every active Patron here.

Movies that almost win are not guaranteed to be watched. We do surprise Movie Reactions when we can. (Usually 2-4 Surprise Movie Reactions a month)! That's a lot! Meaning up to 8 Movie Reactions total a month!

All Movies are Patreon Requests- whether popular or underdog. That way, every request has a chance :)

Most of our fans chat with us through Private Message, not on our Public Page, so please be respectful of everyone here. Movies that win are real votes.

Many of you have been with us for years and we love having you! Thank you for understanding how hard we work to create the same quantity of content like bigger channels do... while still keeping quality of course!

It makes us so happy when you enjoy what we watch! Thank you for your support and Happy Voting!

Have a great day!

Comedy Request Fletch (1986) A mystery comedy starring Chevy Chase. A League of their Own (1992) Geena Davis, Tom Hanks and Madonna play baseball in this period comedy. The World's End (2013) Edgar Wright directs and co-writes the screenplay with his star Simon Pegg in the spiritual follow-up to Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Other A History of Violence (2005) An amazing thriller starring Viggo Mortensen and that would introduce you to the great canadian director David Cronenberg (in one of his more accessible films). Carlito's Way (1993) Brian De Palma (Mission Impossible 1) directs Al Pacino in their second gangster film collaboration. Their first (Scarface in 1983) is also recommended. The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) Thriller starring Matt Damon in one of his darker and best performance. Jude Law shines in his first major hollywood role.

My first three suggestions are for the comedy poll: PEE-WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE (1985/comedy fantasy): This was Tim Burton's first feature-length film, and honestly, it's perfect in execution. On paper, this movie shouldn't work at all, but it strikes just the right balance of fantasy and self-awareness. Danny Elfman's score is also iconic. INNERSPACE (1987/Sci-fi comedy): Directed by Joe Dante (Gremlins) and one of the many 80s movies that boasted as being produced by Steven Spielberg. I suppose this is a mix of "Odd Couple" silliness and sci-fi. Dennis Quaid, Martin Short and Meg Ryan all look young as hell here. Jerry Goldsmith's score is majestic and adds some weightiness to a pretty silly story. GREMLINS 2 (1990/comedy with touches of sci-fi/horror): Another Joe Dante movie. While the first movie had elements of comedy, this one is an outright satire. I think over the years it's gained more of a cult following and more people appreciate it for the chances it takes. UNBREAKABLE (2000): Not a comedy. It's the slow-burn M. Night Shyamalan movie that he made right after The Sixth Sense. I think at the time it got a so-so reception, but many find it easier to appreciate these days for how it distinguishes itself from other movies with similar subject matter. I don't want to say what it's about (though you may already know), because I think that slow reveal (like with many Shyamalan movies) is part of the enjoyment. Bruce Willis stars. MINORITY REPORT (2002): Sci-fi. This is the collaboration between Tom Cruise and Spielberg before they did "War of the Worlds." I think this is the better of the two, though it does share the overblown, super-grainy look that Spielberg was enamored with at that time. Futuristic, action-y with a little film noir thrown in. Even though it's a bit uneven, there are still a lot of amazing scenes in it, and an intriguing core concept.
