Thank you for all of the great suggestions and requests! Please bear with us as we try out these new polls, we realize tweaks need to be made to the request post and we will fix that for the next month. Keep an eye out for the "What Genre will we watch?" Not all of the movies are listed below but some of the more requested titles are mentioned. Enjoy!

Vote on a movie below and help choose a winner!

Please keep in mind that most requested movies we are blind to. We don't know exactly what genre or how popular most movies are and rely on your comments to help guide us.

Star Trek ll: Wrath of Khan! Not only the best Star Trek movie (in my humble subjective opinion), but an all time great sci-fi film!

AutumnInNewEngland

Enough people requested Resident Evil to make it on a poll?? OMG, I would LOVE to see that win just for the looks on the Storm Akima crew's faces lol.

Marvel Fan

I'll always vote Fantastic Four (2005). They got to know the origin story of the Fantastic Four before they react to MCU's Fantastic Four in the future. According to Kevin Feige, the MCU's Fantastic Four won't be going with an origin story.

Wait, is this the sci-fi poll? It feels weird to have Fantastic Four and Superman 2 grouped with some of the others.

Marvel Fan

Some superhero movies can be labeled as sci-fi genre. At Saturn Awards 2006, Fantastic Four (2005) was nominated for best science fiction film and Superman is both the product of science fiction and fantasy.

On one hand , I want 9 or despicable me 2 to win but I also want either Star Trek or fantastic four to win so competition for movies I want to see are out of the way

WastedPo

I think they might find the first one reasonably entertaining. It's not that outrageous content-wise, and an argument can be made it's even good(ish). I think it's starting with number 2 that the series devolves into B-level cheese of varying quality, the epitome of guilty pleasure.

Joel Miller

Last Sci-Fi pic was Watchmen. I agree that Superhero movies should be applied to a different category as a majority of Storm Akima viewers want to vote for asuperhero or animated movie. Though Fantastic Four does have Sci-Fi elements with their origin story. It’s a pet peeve.

I would vote for any of these movies that isn’t Fantastic Four. The movie is not good. They will likely do their origin story in the reboot. It’s not as iconic as Spider-Man or Batman’s origin story.

AutumnInNewEngland

Well, that argument would probably be as effective as an infected canine to Alice's spinning kick. 😝 I like it for the luls and generally think the entire movie series is lulsy and I'm a fan of some of the games. You're right though, it does get MUCH worse lol.

AutumnInNewEngland

It's a Storm Akima poll. They're my favorite reaction channel, so I like continuing to support them, but yeah, only on a Storm Akima poll will Fantastic Four 2005 and Maze Runner be favored over Close Encounters Of The Third Kind on the Sci-Fi film category. I've been trying to just take it in stride lately. 🙂☂️

According to Kevin Feige, the reboot of Fantastic Four in the MCU won't be going with an origin story.

Superman 2 is the best of the old Supermans

Unbreakable deserves more votes

Joao

Maze runner… really?

Project Mayhem

I never understand how fantastic four, one of the worst superhero movies ever, manages to get so many votes.

Marvel Fan

I know there are mixed reviews of the Fantastic Four movie. Since they discovered Mr. Fantastic from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, I think it would be best to know about the origin story of the Fantastic Four. The 2005 one is the only one that's great in my opinion and it tells a comic accurate story. There is going to be MCU's Fantastic Four in the future and according to Kevin Feige, the MCU's Fantastic Four won't be going with an origin story.

Marvel Fan

Sure, that one too. But I like the 2005 version better because it's more fun and entertaining.

I wanted Wrath of Khan to win, but I voted for Maze Runner because I don't want Fantastic Four to win.

Sohail Jafar

I personally want them to watch it so they have the same understanding of the characters before Disney shows them in the MCU.

sean smith

I think it should always be a blind poll. It's because a lot of people may change their vote early on when a ton of people have yet to cast their vote.

Anonymous

Theoretically a lot of people vote early and their movie wouldn’t win. I would keep the polls the way it is. People want diversity instead owanting a divisive movie to win. I am sure they will take a couple minutes explain how they got their powers in the Fantastic Four reboot movie
