Happy Holidays to all! I hope you are doing well! We have a few shows on our radar that we plan on reacting to in the new year! The main shows being: The Bad Batch and The Last of Us and possibly Wednesday! We hope to watch Daredevil as a Patreon exclusive soon too, but I can only take on so many projects on my own and we have high demand for those 3 other shows right now.

Next year, our Movie tier and TV Show tier will combine as a $10 tier so I can financially keep creating. Movies take 3 times longer to edit than shows. If you stay a Patron in our $5 Movie tier before I lock the tier in the new year, you will continue to receive the same rewards at $5! If you unsubscribe after the Movie tier disappears, you will only be able to access our ALL Reactions tier.

You're support and caring about what we do is very important to us! I gave this a lot of thought and this is the best way to keep creating full time. We also hope this change will keep our long term Patrons here happy :)

When we first started Patreon, our $5 Movie tier consisted of 1 Movie a month and was going to combine long ago to our $10 tier, but I ignored that and kept pushing my limits to keep up with demand and to keep as many fans happy as possible. So 1 Movie became 8 a month for a long while! Honestly 4 movies is more manageable a month, but I plan on creating at least 6-8 a month as long as we don't decline anymore in support.

So many of you are very kind and considerate so we truly thank you for being our fans! We kindly remind the few that compare us to other bigger channels- we are not a huge channel and work very hard to bring you content everyday. There is a lot of reasons why some channels are more successful than others.

I (Storm) mainly run the entire channel outside of reacting. Tom helps us here on Patreon and his wife Heather helps me with some UNCUT Reaction edits. Mom, Tom and Kim are wonderful for reacting as long as they have! Thank you all so much!

So I am very excited for the new year! Change isn't a bad thing and I will be focusing more on growing our channel on YouTube now that we finished a few shows.

Also, Mom, Kim and Tom are doing well and of course will continue reacting in the future! I asked a few friends if they would react to some content next year as well! :)

Happy Holidays everyone! Thanks again for your support! xoxo

Would love to see some more trailer reactions next year to help grow the YouTube channel 😊

Your channel is such a big part of the time I spend watching YouTube, I just adore it and feel so relaxed and happy watching you all🥰 Thank you!! Happy Holidays!! 🎄🎅

The Storm Akima channel has the distinction of being the "gateway" channel that led me down the path of discovering other reaction channels, As such, your channel will always have my support (as long as I can afford it). I also still appreciate the fact that you reacted to the Warcraft film a while back.

Looking forward to 6-8 movie reactions a month. I came here for the movies. 🍿

i feel the same way. i've come and gone in so many reaction channels but i've been here for a long time which will not be changing anytime soon. i have had weeks where i couldnt pay immediately. but thats different.

Not one of the bigger reaction channels, but given when Storm Akima started doing reactions, you guys should be at least somewhere among them, at least I think so. And I don't think anyone here has been comparing you guys to The Normies or Blind Wave; enormous channels that started doing movie reactions around the same time you guys did btw. I know I haven't. I mainly have been comparing your selection practices as a channel to more recent popular reaction channels, that have accumulated more subscribers in 1 to 2 years than you guys have in 6 years and that get views per video more consistently close to their subscribers total than Storm Akima does. And I don't do this just to be a critical Negative Nancy like some Patrons here seem to think so, but only to point out the differences in how they go about rapidly building interest and sustaining momentum in hopes of you guys seeing some of the problems that have been working against you that don't exist in other channels; because its definitely NOT the content, as in you guys - in fact you all are my favorite reactors overall! Tom you're included, ALL the family is included! 😄❤️ I am simply of the opinion that Storm Akima should and COULD be a lot stronger in support than it is. Its like I have said before, yours are the only full length reactions I like to revisit as much as the movies themselves, which is saying a lot! I can revisit a funny or entertaining reaction or two of mere moments from other channels here and there, but once I have seen the full length reaction once I am not that interested in seeing the whole thing again. With you guys, its not like I'm just sitting down to watch a reaction, but actually sitting down to watch the movie with you guys, like a whole 2nd family movie night. And revisiting them again is like revisiting a fun, wonderful, and sometimes emotional with those certain special movies lol, cozy memory that's just a click away. 🙂 Its just a shame and sad to see the channel struggle when it really shouldn't, especially when the content (you guys) are just as good if not better overall IMO than other newer and yet still more popular reaction channels.

I think a price change is reasonable, considering this is the baseline of a lot of other channels. If I can offer a suggestion: I think one of the reasons why the channel might be lagging behind other, newer reaction channels is the decisions made with editing. Now, I'm aware that you've been actively trying to change and improve the editing recently, so I appreciate that. But I think maybe it could be tweaked even further. I notice that a lot of other channels simply include more footage of each movie than you do. I know you've been very concerned about going over the "10 minute rule" to the point that you're now splitting movies into multiple YT uploads (each one, not that long). The thing is, I honestly think that no one (including movie companies) honors or cares about the 10 minute "Fair Use" thing. I think they go by algorithms and bots, and if there's too long a period with identifiable music, then that's when things get flagged. (There is a side issue that seems to be happening, in which some fake company falsely flags reaction videos to steal their revenue. Greg Alba of the Reel Rejects did a video about that called "Youtube, this crap needs to stop." But that's a side issue.) Maybe it would help to try to emulate some of the more clicked-on channels. They usually squeeze in whole movie reactions into one video. (With the exception being super long movies like Extended LOTR.) And I think that's important, because I think the average YT viewer likes it when the whole "story" is fit into one reaction. And they edit things in a style that you can more-or-less follow scenes, but the edits come quickly enough that I think they evade the algorithms. (They also employ other tricks, like showing a movie's visuals for a while with no sound or muffled sound.) Also, it might be a long shot, but it might be worth it to reach out to "Popcorn in Bed" for editing tips to avoid claims. I bring her up because she offered tips to "Brandon" on Youtube under a video where he was talking about how he might be forced into stopping due to getting excessive claims. Anyway, those were just a few things that I've been meaning to suggest for a while. I hope people still continue to support you. As Mario up above said, this channel has been my "gateway" for reactions, and it's like a familiar blanket returning here.
