Baz Luhrman directed Elvis and Wes Craven directed Scream . John Carpenter directed the first 2 Halloween films and many more .

I'm looking forward to watching the reaction. But yeah, its sort of weird that you found a list crediting John Carpenter for all those movies you mention at the beginning of the video that (as far I know) he had nothing to do with. Maybe "Prince of Darkness" looked enough like "Prince of Egypt" that you confused the two? (Edit: Rhaegar is probably on the right track. Maybe Amazon's algorithm was like, "Here are related movies you might enjoy," and it deceptively looked like they were by the same director.) I think The Thing is actually the first John Carpenter movie you've watched on the channel.

And The Black Phone was directed by Scott Derrickson who directed the first Doctor Strange. I think you guys got mixed up by Amazon's bad interface tbh.

John Carpenter did not direct Elvis (2022) but Elvis (1979). It starred Kurt Russell (their first of 5 collaborations) and it was the first biopic of Elvis Presley released after his passing. It was made for the ABC network and was a very big tv movie. I Think it's Amazon recommending stuff based on a "if you like John Carpenter" way and not what he actually made.
