I think the show overall was good . Not great , but a step in the right direction . I'am concerned about something that could dampen people's anticipation for season 2 . The showrunners have confirmed that season 2 will be years not months away from being released . With bigger shows it's ok to take a break in between your 4th and final seasons . But a new show that has had a rocky start and a split fan base should not wait long to release their second season . If they want to compete with HBO and HOTD they need to release the 2nd season either fall next year or fall 2024 . Hopefully , it does not take that long but the showrunners confidence in their expectations of release of season 2 is troubling and concerning .

They are now saying they hope for a 2024 release of season 2 if outside forces or the enormous production values do not overwhelm them . That's a lot better then their original answer . Outside forces meaning the Pandemic doesn't come roaring back . If you want the source it's THR . They interviewed Patrick Mckay and J.D. Payne about the release . They say a couple of years but that in itself is very vague . Just say fall 2024 or we don't know until filming and post production is completed .

Not Toucan Sam, but one grey bearded man! All he needs is his hat! 😁 I felt so joyous hearing that conformation, and really felt at peace. I really look forward to seeing what more aspects of the character this new actor can bring with Season 2 and beyond. We saw just a glimpse of old greybeard's wisdom at the end there. So fitting how the person who he told the nose advice to, their last name is Brandyfoot, and the next person he tells that to in LOTR over a 1000 years later is a Brandybuck!

I'm really happy with the show and can't wait for season 2!! 😩 I was a bit sceptical before watching it because the trailers were meh, but it was awesome!!

It was a slow start but , somewhere between the middle it picked up for me . The Harrfoots storyline was the slowest to develop but i liked how they set Nori and The Stranger( Still gonna call him that until they reveal his name in the show . Not quite convinced he is Gandalf yet .) on their journey together .
