Just want to say thinking of Tom and the people of Florida as they begin the recovery process . My thoughts and prayers are with Tom , and your entire family . This episode was great and thrilling to watch . Can't wait for the next episode .

Also i don't know if you guys made that connection, but that area of the Southlands will eventually turn into Mordor... which means, we have all witnessed the birth of Mount Doom, where Sauron eventually forges the One Ring.

Has anyone ever considered that The Stranger could be Sauron in disguise . Just throwing that out there .

He was the first I saw suggested, given the crater kinda looked like his 'eye' in the Third Age. My only reasons to doubt are that hanging around Harfoots doesn't seem to do anything for him (though the amnesia could be real), also some things that are spoilers (unless things are changed for the series).

True . The show is good at dropping hints of the future as it pertains to the Southlands but everything else is a guessing game . Maybe we get answers in episode 7 . Hoping we do .

OMG, thank you for your kind words! Tom and his wife were lucky and had minimal damage to their house in Florida! He sent us video updates throughout the storm. Pretty crazy stuff! Kim has some friends in Florida that were hit very hard with lots of damage... but luckily everyone we know is ok! Thanks again!

Thank you for this! It makes perfect sense to us now, but I totally didn't catch that when watching. That is so crazy! That means so many just perished. Oh no! Well, I know of a few that will survive at least. Can't wait to see the next episode! :)

Hi Jonathan! Yes, at one point I thought the same thing! The stranger would really throw us off. The eye in the crater made me think that too. I'm thinking Halbrand or Theo at this point. Can't wait to find out more!

I feel like the writers wouldn't have an innocent like Nori believe so much in The Stranger for him to just turn out to be Sauron. That'd be like Gandalf teaching Frodo that the pity of Bilbo was super important, and then Frodo ends up stabbing Golem in his sleep. Just doesn't make thematic storytelling sense to me. Plus, Sauron is supposed to have overlooked Hobbits existence almost entirely by the Third Age until he becomes aware of Frodo.
