I remember seeing this when it 1st came out and the thing that left me gob-smacked was seeing Gerald Scarfe listed as production designer. Scarfe is an English cartoonist and illustrator most well known to a generation for his collaboration with Pink Floyd on their 1979 album The Wall and its subsequent movie and tours - eg the headmaster, Judge Worm, etc. He's also known for his editorial cartoons and caricatures, especially the intro/outro sequences for English satire Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister (with animated caricatures of the main cast - worth checking out!, one of my all-time fave shows). Hades' design in particular is *mwah, chef's kiss!* peak Scarfe.

I've always been baffled that Megara is left out of the conversation for Disney Princesses. Apparently, there's actually an "official list" and she's been excluded. Not only is she one of the more unique female leads in a Disney animated movie, but she's the partner of the son of the king of the gods. Literally the definition of a princess. Edit: Also, Megara is voiced by Susan Egan, who also voiced "Lin" from Spirited Away. It's practically the same character when you hear them side-by-side.

This movie is so underrated but I honestly put it among Disney's best with Tarzan, Lion King, Mulan etc.

I loved your reaction. I also love that you always do a real review, very appreciated. I do want to add that Hades might be the best villain in an evil/ funny way. His character is so well done. You cannot hate him, even though he is terrible XD. Megara is also great. Somehow a complex but realistic character? I think each character was very well made. They all had their own individual personality's, which made the story itself very good. Great film!
