Rogue Maverick

Shane is kinda like Darth Vader and Anakin. Shane has moments like Anakin, when he is teaching Carl to catch frogs, when they saw the deer, when he went to get the medical stuff. But he has Darth Vader moments, when he pointed his gun at Rick, when he shot Otis (even tho it is kinda justifiable due to the situation), when he threatened dale, and most recently the barn. It's kinda of like what you guys have been saying, he sometimes doesn't fully know or understand what he is doing. Shane was right about a few things this episode even though the way he went about it was wrong. The walkers in the barn were dangerous, the way he did it was wrong. When he was talking about Sophia possibly being dead, I mean at this point it was looking bad for Sophia. Also, I agree with Shane about, wrangling the walkers is a bad idea. I love how Glenn asked Maggie for permission before firing his weapon. One thing that is easy to miss is that Hershel said that Otis was the one that wrangled most of the walkers. I agree that Dale should not have hidden the guns in the swamp, he should have given them to Maggie or someone else from the farm. Something else about Shane being Darth Vader and Anakin, when he starts the firing squad, he is Vader, but when he sees Sophia, he goes back to Anakin. He did not want to be right like this. This is around the time people start to ship Daryl and Carol as a couple. Overall I really enjoyed this episode. Season 2 is where the show starts to amp itself up. I love your reactions. Also, once you finish this show, I highly recommend the spin off shows

I’ve waited for the Sophia coming out of the barn reaction for weeks now. Rewatching TWD has been so great with these reactions.

2021-12-22 14:04:27 The thing with Shane this episode is that pretty much everything he said at the barn was true: walkers aren't alive, they are not people, they are dead. The thing with Sophia was also true, even before knowing that it was too late for her, since the chances of finding her were getting slimmer and slimmer. Shane went about it the "wrong" way but maybe now Hershel will finally see that these walkers are NOT people. It took Maggie almost dying to one to finally see it. So now maybe Hershel will. Plus, with Shane seeing Rick & Hershel having them on the snare poles really sent him over the edge. According to Hershel, Otis was the one that primarily did the wrangling of the walkers into the barn. Timeline wise, Sophia was bitten within a day or two of her going missing then being found by Otis as a walker. Then Carl was accidentally shot and we ended up to here.
