Hahaha! Kim's "DON'T SLIDE IN THE RANCH!" was great! It just gave me the mental image of Sun saying "They found something!" and then you hear a slide whistle like a looney toons cartoon as she slips. Breaking News though! Most of the people running the hatch(or who were before Jack and Locke took over) are not really worried about the button. LOL The opinion that the fate of the world depends on it is pretty much only shared by Locke right now, the rest, just kinda go along with it. You guys often bring up the point that people in this show don't communicate. That's kind of the point of the show. The characters we follow are LOST in their lives, they were LOST in their pasts. They're don't have successful relationships with well functioning, open lines of communication. Emotionally, they're mostly loners. They don't often share how they're feeling. It's hard to have a show with conflict and trust issues if everyone tells everyone about their days. Essentially if they all talked openly about their lives easily it wouldn't be the right show. This island I think is changing them though. Educating them in a group dynamic to figure out how to live together. Claire didn't have a doctor or therapist, she went and saw a psychic who was just operating out of his own house. The only people I think you've seen have therapists so far are Ana and Hurley, although John did mention having one in his first flashback. Also, it was Santa Rosa, not Santa Cruz.
