At long last! I honestly I can’t remember how long I’ve been trying to get this watched... But no matter, it’s watched now!

Great reaction. It's been a while for me as well, but I have always loved this movie since I was. a kid. Yes, the movie was quite adult, but I guess this was like the original Shrek, as many of the adult things would go over the kids heads. it's funny too. I think this is the first time I actually realized that Eddie was connected to the whole story. When the toon killed his brother, it was because they were chasing him after he robbed the bank for a million simoleons. That toon then took that money he got away with to bribe his way into becoming the judge. Then he took the money, put it into Cloverfield and bought up the redline. It was also going to go to buying the land under toonland and the movie company. The whole thing started with Eddie and his brother not catching the toon. Silly. As a kid you miss so many details. I always knew the judge had killed Eddie's brother, but just didn't take it that step farther.

I also just realized the simoleon detail

This was so much fun to watch. Such a great reaction. I needed the laugh, too, so the timing was great. I agree with Mom, Sammity Sam is one of my faves too. I just noticed a detail that I don't know if you guys picked up on. There were hints that Doom was a Toon throughout the movie, but I just noticed this one today: So, you notice how Eddie ran through the Dip that was all over the floor at the end, right? That means humans are not affected by the Dip at all. In the earlier scene in the bar, when Doom came looking for Rodger, Eddie knocks over the Dip on purpose so he can fight the weasels. When the Dip spills out across the floor, Doom moves away from it. He steps back as if he's trying to avoid touching it, and he has a look of fear on his face. It's subtle, but it's there. It was neat, because the way he played it, it looked like he was just backing away from the fight and looked worried because Eddie was winning. This movie was such a brilliant concept. It's indescribable how unique and mindblowingly different it is, even now. Having Toons represented by human agents, and a main character who is racist against Toons (Toonist?) but then giving him a relatable reason why. It's incredibly well thought out. And the adult humor was great. Thanks for sharing this with us, guys.

Now i believe it may be time for a SPACE JAM reaction, one of my all-time favorite guilty pleasure films.

As impressive as the animation is, I'm even more blown away by the physical effects that sell the interaction between toons and the real world - the penguins in the club are toting real trays, the weasels have real world guns, Roger's eyes knocking over the bottle, Jessica playing with Eddie's tie during her big number. It really is movie magic because it makes me think 'How the hell did they do that?' Even when I know some of the secrets - eg Benny the Cab is actually a go-kart; in the kitchen sink scene, Bob Hoskins is actually wrestling a movable spigot (so Roger can spit water) - it's still a mindbender.

Also, just noticed the tunnel to toon town is the same one as in Back to the Future II, which also shares the same director, one of its leading actors, etc.

Especially since they didn't have green screens back then. Just had to hand draw each frame to match. A while ago, I saw this the on the birth of 3D animation. The Pillsbury Doughboy was one of the firsts in the world of 3D animation Today, we have advanced software where experts can build most of the character in just a matter of hours. Back then, there was no software. They had to build an entire 3D rendering engine for each commercial. It was so complicated, they didn't even bother trying to make an engine that could handle a variety of modeling. Each was built specifically to render certain objects a certain way, and then it was useless for anything else. Today, Blender3D, which is one of the best, is 100% free to anyone who wants to learn and use it.

Arguably the best film that combines live action and animation. Space Jam is the other film that comes to mind that comes close. Cool World is another one that tried but is quite dull and pretty much a mess.
