The movie was much more violent the second time watching this since I was a kid lmao

Absolutely amazing every time I see it. A lot more killing than I remember, but one of my favorites for sure! Feel free to see others' opinions but I'm not sure the second movie is as good as this one. Things just get a little too crazy at points whereas this movie stays pretty comprehensible throughout. Im glad you guys enjoyed it !!

Kick-Ass and The Boys share a common pedigree. Both their writers, Scottish Mark Millar and Northern Irish Garth Ennis respectively, cut their comic book teeth on British comic series 2000AD (Judge Dredd among other characters) before working for the likes of DC and Marvel. They're both really good at subverting the 'capes' genre and a lot of their work has made it to the big and small screens. Other 2000AD alumni include Alan Moore (V for Vendetta, Watchmen, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, From Hell) and the writing partnership of Dan Abnett/Andy Lanning, whose 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy led to the MCU version just 6 years later.

Also a shout-out for John Romita Jr, Kick-Ass' co-creator and legend of a comic book artist. All the artwork Big Daddy was working on in this movie, was his.

Great reaction... I enjoyed rewatching the movie with you. Interesting note, the director Mathew Vaughn did not get paid cash for the movie, instead he got to keep the Mist Mobile, which was a real pimped out car.

I'm honestly a little surprised by the reactions to the violence since even the blood is so "comicbooky". Fun fact, I think I remember from the behind the scenes footage that 90% of the blood and gunshot/blade wounds are CGI. The only blood makeup is on faces. You mentioned the fact that Dave's friends seemed not to care about the fact that he was doing to die on the livestream, I'm not sure if it came across to you guys that they don't know Dave is Kickass, only Katie did.
