Hi everyone and welcome back! Thanks for all your requests! Many of you like the multiple options and votes, so I think we will continue that way and then just randomly select a second movie when time allows. If your request didn't make it in, please don't worry! We are not ignoring you! We have a huge list and are rotating choices every POLL. Some stay longer than others due to high demand. Eventually, we'll see everything! Mom and Kim usually select a random second movie :)

We are steady with your donations on our Patreon, so we thank you so much for your support!  We hope to add more tiers and reactions as we grow. We have come so much farther than last year! You all are amazing! Thank you for caring so much and helping us deliver quality content! xoxo

Happy Voting! If your request didn't make it this time, it's most likely on our list and will be on a future POLL. Always feel free to request again in the comments though! :D

Really hoping for Indiana Jones. That is a truly excellent movie.

A trifecta of underrated comedies for you to check out: PCU, Can't Hardly Wait, and Empire Records. Also, you should dive into the Viewaskewniverse one of these days (Kevin Smith's films, Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dogma, etc.).

Anonymous

I would actually put Dazed & Confused with Empire Records and Can't Hardly Wait.

Tserriednich

Man on fire voted till it wins, one of my fav movie all time! <3

Alex

Deep Impact is a good follow up to Armageddon.

Klaus

Hidden Figures first, because I love it and there are no reaction vids for it. Also: Indiana Jones (already up there), Austin Powers, Naked Gun, Hot Shots - Scary Movie maybe? Drifting into silly yet great comedies there.

German Zurita

Knives out and Hamilton hopefully soon

Since it's okay to request here: "Victoria" (2015) "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (2004) "The Hurt Locker" (2008) "Sicario" (2015) - The same Director that did "Arrival", Denis Villeneuve. Here's some Comedies, that aren't fully Comedies: "Funny People" (2009) "The Truman Show" (1998) "Stranger than Fiction" (2006)

Justin S.

Another good selection and I'm glad to see Deep Impact made the poll as that movie often gets overlook because it came out around the same time as Armageddon. Personally, I liked it better. Anyway, here 10 of my recommendations or requests again with a few differences: Here are 10 recommendations in no particular order: Ransom (1996) Meet Joe Black (1998) The Sum of All Fears (2002) True Lies (1994) Breakdown (1997)-Underrated Suspense Thriller. Hey everyone, this is the guy manipulating the vote. Impossible has been creeping up a vote like every minute. It was at like 56 votes an hour or so ago, and keeps going up a vote every minute or so, like clockwork. Now it's at 129. Make that 130. Nope 131... Looks like Impossible will be this week's poll winner!

Anonymous

the movie Impossible just shot up from 56 votes to 167 votes(and climbing) in the past 2 hours hour. Thank you to the asshole with all the extra accounts that is literally taking the fun away from being a member of this Patreon. Impossible is now at 172 votes, and it's 2:07am as I'm posting this. Boy, can't wait to see here it ends up. Looks like Impossible is your poll winner folks!

Anonymous

The Voyage Home is pretty good as well and some people even say it's their favorite.

Anakin Starkiller

Well why are you mentioning my name I don't appreciate that. If you got a problem with me you message me you don't do it on here 😡

WastedPo

For what it's worth, I think your suggestions are great. Particularly The Naked Gun and the Jumanji reboot - I bet they'd love those. (I haven't seen some of the others titles, but I do recognize the names, and know a lot of them are highly regarded as well.)

WastedPo

I'd love a Cast Away reaction. Another reactor I enjoy just did it, and so I guess I'm in the Cast Away mood. I think it also has the advantage of not having gotten the accolades of Forrest Gump (another Hanks/Zemeckis teamup), so it might not be handicapped with the same sky-high expectations.

WastedPo

The original Superman is a classic. If they watch it, I hope they can get past the dated feel/effects to appreciate (a) One of the best casting decisions in movie history with Christopher Reeve. (b) How iconic John Williams score is. (c) How *way* before the MCU, the original Superman was already taking a gamble and setting up a sequel in just the opening shots.

WastedPo

I bet they might react to '89 Batman regardless, as a surprise reaction. It scored pretty high last time, with a lot of people enthusiastic about it.

Guilherme Zanettini

Fun poll! Pulling for Air Force One, but there are a whole handful a movies that I'd enjoy them reacting to. Here are some choices for a future poll- Sky High, The Blind Side, Valentine's Day, Paranormal Activity, Dazed & Confused, Tropic Thunder, A Knight's Tale, Amazing Spider-Man

The Rock, Lethal Weapon, Ransom, Scream, Poltergeist, Masters of the Universe, True Lies

Here's an idea for the voting. Keep the same amount of films, but limit each person to one vote, as they did a couple polls ago. Then take the top 5 movies with the most votes, and the Storm Crew pick the movie they'll react to from that top 5. And they'll still have the second reaction where they pick a movie from any on the poll. Just an idea.

Anonymous

great poll this week, Storm gals! Star Trek ll: Wrath of Khan would be my personal choice. Movie recommendaitons: The Blind Side, Pearl Harbor, Batman 89, Scream, Daredevil 2003, Out of Sight

Anonymous

Dick Tracy(1990) and Batman(1989)

Justin S.

That definitely sounds like a great idea and it also gives more opportunity to movies that probably will never come in first place. Also, I was thinking that perhaps the Storm Crew could randomly pick a patron from the comments, like once a month, and they could simply pick the next movie reaction. Of course, a patron could only be chosen once.

WastedPo

The Burbs is a cult classic. It certainly helps that Joe Dante directed it. What would probably be too lightweight a story in the hands of anyone else, instead ended up an enormously fun adventure. "God, I love this street."

jf_lametta

There's treachery afoot

Matthew Richson

Yeah, I had to look up Impossible in order to figure out what the movie was, it’s title is THE Impossible. It’s a disaster movie from 2012 based off the true story of a family who survived a tsunami back in 2004. It was a similar case with Men of Honor for me, I’ve never even heard of that movie. But yeah, something feels off here, with all these sudden explosions of votes, cause at first it seemed like it was going to be foot race between Indiana Jones & Django. Unless there’s a lot of people who vote but aren’t interested in commenting.

I hope Batman '89 makes back onto another poll soon.

Con Air, The Rock, Face/Off.. the great 90's trilogy of Nic Cage action flicks.

Rainmaker203

Someone is definitely tampering with the voting. Yesterday evening Django Unchained, Indiana Jones, and Knives Out were well ahead of the rest of the movies, and now look at the results. There are over twice as many votes as there are Patrons.

Anonymous

To be fair, one person can vote for as many movies as they want in the poll. I voted for 7 films. That's how the poll is set up by Storm Akima. So obviously there's going to be way more votes than Patrons. There's no "tampering". If someone is making more than one Patreon account and paying the money to Storm Akima for each account, that's their perrogative.

Anonymous

Movie picks: Real Steel, A Few good Men, Airplane, Pearl Harbor, 6 Underground, Tropic Thunder

No there’s definitely something happening. Indiana Jones and Django, two amazing movies, were leading for about 2 hours, and then within 15 minutes, the box office bomb disaster movie jumped ten fold

1,436 patrons and yet it got 3,180 votes.

Before the posting gets too old, thought I’d toss out my suggestions. EX MACHINA (2014): Apologies for mentioning this so often. Indie sci-fi with thought-provoking themes and a small cast. The only one of my requests that might not be Mom-appropriate. Though I suppose it still might be okay, simply because I suspect with the new videoconferencing setup, Mom is seeing movies in potato-quality. THE OTHERS (2001): Beautifully shot, wonderful costuming and sets, starring Nicole Kidman. It’s a throwback to classic B&W movies like Hitchcock’s “Rebecca.” Even though it’s spooky, it’s appropriate for everyone. Fun Fact: Alejandro Amenabar not only wrote and directed it, but he wrote the music score as well. GATTACA (1997): Slower-paced, thoughtful sci-fi with Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. (You might enjoy seeing Uma again after all those Tarantino movies.) Low-key noir atmosphere and poetic music score. Despite a modest budget, the movie does a great job of creating a unique, convincing portrait of an “in the near future” society.

Anyone feels with this multiple choice format popular movies will always win? Because our1st choice to watch doesn't matter because if you put pick 2nd movie meanwhile the others pick different movie as 1st choice but pick same 2nd movie as you, the 2nd choice will win. Maybe if they can put movies as a package of 3 consisting of different genre? They can pick 1 or 2 movies from the winner package, so our 1st choice still have a chance to win.

Anonymous

I think they need to do polls by genre or something like that. Of course if you put ten different action CGI-fest movies on a list against something like Django, people will crowd to the action movies. Not even counting whoever’s obviously screwing with the voting

Merlin the TV series. Brilliant show!

JetpackSunrise

Huh. I voted for 'Impossible' thinking that it was the tsunami movie... but if it's Mission Impossible that's also cool, so I guess I don't mind either way? MI: Fallout is definitely one of my favourite action movies of the last few years. I'd love Knives Out at some point as well.

So, there was a real conversation going on about whether the current system was working for everyone. But now the waters are being muddied by some trolling. The fact that all the recent "joke" posts are from new accounts obviously created by the same person - well, it only reinforces the concern that things can easily be compromised by one or two people.

Of 1500+ Patreons, we see the same few people complaining about the voting system each poll. I'd say based on those numbers, the voting system is just fine. Carry on.

Anonymous

Wait, so that's actually Mission Impossible that's winning? Oh that's cool. I haven't seen that one in years. Should be a fun reaction!

WastedPo

It's not. It's a disaster movie called "The Impossible." Someone is trolling with multiple new dummy accounts, telling people it's referring to the M.I. series.

I so wanted Star Trek ll: The Wrath of Khan to win this week. Or at least Air Force One or Indiana Jones. Oh man, Indiana Jones is so close!

Justin S.

I hope they recognize that there was obvious manipulation with the Impossible vote and just react to Indiana Jones. No way over 400 different people voted for The Impossible. It's a good disaster movie but that's not the point here.

Opti_Frog

The Storm Akima polls are clearly being manipulated, and it's not the first time this has happened on patreon. https://www.reddit.com/r/patreon/comments/f0cacc/patron_is_using_multiple_accounts_to_manipulate/ "I first noticed this a few months ago, but I didn't think anything of it, since I thought there were only a few extra accounts and all of them pay their pledge anyway. But I recently counted them and this person controls 10% of the accounts pledged to my patreon! If I removed their extra votes from my most recent poll, then the top 2 options (which this guy voted for) would drop to 4th and 5th place." Someone is (probably) paying to win, and he's picking rather trolly movies as well. This is obviously nice money for Storm Akima, but if other patreons feel that their votes no longer matter, how will this affect the channel in the long run? This absolutely needs to be adressed.

Anonymous

This seems very plausible to me. Crazy someone would invest so much money into getting the movie they want to be reacted to!

Vicky N

I vote for Impossible because I believed it was Mission: Impossible. They got me.

Erasmo

I gave The Fast and the Furious another try, and I remembered once again how awful those movies are. If you like them, more power to you, but I just couldn't do it.

Sohail Jafar

Oh so people are now talking about manipulation of the polls when last two weeks people have been “voting” for low-rated movies and not a peep about them..?

Anonymous

Suck it up, that's the movie that one the poll!

YodatheHobbit

Since it appears The Impossible is being manipulated to win, I don't understand why people haven't been legitimately voting for it. It's an amazing film based on a real world event which killed thousands of people in 2004 and is centered on one real family portrayed by Obi-wan and Spider-man's actors. It's really not a typical "disaster" movie as I've seen it described. The disaster's not really what the movie's about, more so the aftermath. Edit: Anyone know where my original super long(sorry about that, I was afraid I going to get falsely accused for the Impossible manipulation, so I got a bit defensive), post explaining my reasons for suggesting the movie went? I thought it was on this post but It seems to have disappeared.

Anonymous

Man I really need to check my Patreon more frequently, I totally missed out on this week's poll.

Man, this comments section is weeeeeeird. I don't want to get TOO conspiracy theorist but it's clearly one or two people spamming with duplicate accounts. Right? And I appreciate the effort, but I don't think repeatedly posting the same list of 100 movies is really helping anyone. Or maybe the internet has just trained me to see robots everywhere... Anyways, let me add to the problem :-p by suggesting Super 8, Sing Street and Fantastic Mr. Fox, which are lesser known movies that I love, and I hope you guys might love them too. Thanks Storm!

Some of the people in this comments section aren't currently supporting any patrons if you click on their profile. So are they fake accounts? I suspect they are.

Not necessarily. I support several patreons, but i'm not public about who i support. Someone is spamming this comment section, though. I call him "Matt" because that was the name he used (before he changed it to MY name) when he said "This is my page now", a comment he has now deleted.
