Hi everyone! I know we did a TV Show Request Post in the past, which I have that added to our ever growing list, LOL... but I wanted to give you all are chance to comment TV Show requests on this post :) I will be putting up a POLL for this in a few weeks when we are closer to the end of Breaking Bad :)

Should I make our TV Show POLL huge like our Movie POLL or keep it small? Should we commit to just that show or rotate TV Show POLLS every other week to see if the same Show keeps winning before committing?

Please comment this post below! We get a ton of TV Show requests and I want to narrow it down quite a bit! :)

THE CROWN 😃 It’s only 11-13 episodes per season! :)

Community and Buffy the Vampire Slayer! 😀

Luis Garcia

Also Netflix's Series of Unfortunate Events

Matthew

The Flash is pretty good, especially the first 2 seasons!

Kevin

Better Call Saul would be an obvious choice as its the prequel to Breaking Bad and just as good (some say better). Other than that, you all would LOVE Lost. It is great group television.

Anonymous

The Boys season 2 will be out soon just so you know! Possibly in July

Christopher simeon

Most of the time with polls the same one will win most of the time so I think you should maybe do a poll then the ones that are the highest get put on the next poll and we vote for that

Anonymous

Ok the shows I suggest is Ben 10, and Friends! Also I think y’all could rotate shows. Like watch an episode of one show one day, and another one of a different show another day. Love you content btw!!!!

Rachael Albrecht

The Expanse, Handmaid's Tale, Tiger King 😂

I recommend Better Call Saul after Breaking Bad

yes. wishes. LOST, the magicians, grace and frankie

A TV show is a commitment. I say keep the list short and stick with what gets chosen without rotating too much. My opinion is that you don't want a situation where the polls keep fluctuating between too many choices and spoiling any consistency.

Once upon a time could be nice. Its a nice different take on fairy tales. Its a drama show, so if you can stomach that, it's a pretty cool, and wholesome show.

If it were me, I would suggest having a poll for a "regular" show with a longer run time-think 20+ episodes seasons, and/or over 3 seasons long-and another poll for shorter shows, whether short because they're new, [tragically] cancelled too soon, or a miniseries. I would suggest committing to the show for a season and then seeing if you're enjoying enough/getting enough engagement to continue it. Personally, I would be disappointed if a show I was super excited for finally won and then a couple weeks later it was gone again. I think there are enough shows with a limited run to keep changing things up during a longer series. I also suggest when a show ends, in the next poll not offering any from that genre. Just finished a sci fi show? Have people choose between historical pieces or realistic dramas. As for specific recommendations: I'll also chime in for West Wing. Not all of that show holds up, but the episodes that do are among my TV favorites. The early seasons of How I Met Your Mother are honestly a lot of fun, thoughI've never gotten much past season 4 or so. Miniseries or short run: I will also throw in my support for Band of Brothers. Also When They See Us, Angels in America, and (the first season, anyway) of Big Little Lies. Oh, and Firefly, which ran for one season and was followed by a movie. I don't know if you have any interest in reality shows or nonfiction, but I think you'd probably quite enjoy some of the revival of Queer Eye, and the documentary America to Me is really. Maybe not fannish enough for a reaction channel, though. :) I'm rambling. I hope you don't overextend yourselves, and watch things that make you happy. :)

Better Call Saul is different but on par with Breaking Bad. In terms of the writing, acting, etc. Currently the best show on television. You could probably still catch up before the last season is over.

Crystal Laherrere

Teen wolf or Lost. I will keep suggesting these two. Eventually they may get chosen.

Gargoyles, and Transformers Prime.

Adam Burt

This is tricky to choose. My main picks are:- Good Omens, American Gods, Parks and Rec, Dollhouse, Black Books, The Wire, Misfits, Spectacular Spider-Man (animated series), Cardcaptor Sakura (Japanese with subs), Haunting of Hill House, Umbrella Academy, Lucifer.

JetpackSunrise

My random suggestions: Battlestar Galactica for drama, Parks and Rec for comedy, and Freaks and Geeks for a short one-season show. (None of these would actually win a poll but I can dream, right? :-D)

Good Omens (only 6 episodes), Doctor Who, Sherlock

None of these will probably make it, but it never hurts to try lol :) Star Trek Voyager (the first anything Star Trek that caught my interest and kept it for the entire show, featuring the first female Captain on a Star Trek show!) Smallville (TV show about young Clark Kent, it's dramatic, actiony and romantic, CLana 4ever! 💕) Vision Of Escaflowne (my all-time favorite Anime tv series, it's medieval-y fantasy/romance with giant Mechs) X-Files (that Dawn's already seen and is a big fan of like myself. ✋😁) Transformers Prime (CGI with a budget animated TF show that's MUCH better than the movies IMHO) Sailor Moon - The original 1990s Anime series and not the more new Crystal One (my 2nd all-time favorite Anime and the one that started it all for me. 🌙❤️)

GrapeJelly

Gargoyles, Harley Quin the animated series, Young Justice (DC show), Transformers: Prime

Has anyone ever suggested the movie The Craft? It inspired the Charmed Tv show, even used the same song as it's theme song. "You girls watch out for those weirdos", "we are the weirdos, mister." One of my favorite quotes from the movie lol.

Other than continuing with the Marvel Netflix story (Luke Cage Season 1 is next in the timeline and is excellent!) and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., I would say, please, please, please do WATCHMEN! Its amazing and its incredibly timely :D

I quite enjoyed Voyager a lot, and with it taking place on the other side of the galaxy in the Delta quadrant, they could watch the show without really needing to watch everything else that came before it. And Transformers: Prime is fantastic, it's my second favorite version of Transformers after the original 80s series. And TF:Prime's animation style is similar to what they're watching on Clone Wars.

1) Westworld! I know Dawn watched season 1 back in the day with Fleur de Lys but there have been 2 more seasons since then (and you're much better at the post-show discussions now too). 2) The Crown -- it's just gorgeous and the acting is fantastic. Amazing human drama. Plus it's only 3 seasons so far of 10 episodes each -- not a huge time commitment. 3) The Expanse -- best sci-fi show on TV. 'Nuff said.

I recommend Sopranos. It's the show that really changed how television was made, as well as taking TV storytelling to a whole other level. It's because of Sopranos that we have all these Johnny-Come-Latelys like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and so on.

Anonymous

I really hope Transformers: Prime get on the poll! That show is, in my humble opinion, the absolute best iteration of Transformers, and I love the original animated series. It also won several Daytime Emmys and Creative Arts Emmys for being an outstanding animated series.

You're the only one that's actually bothered to be specific about which Doctor Who you're suggesting. It's not like it's a show that's been around since the 60s or anything... poor Dawn having to try to sort that one out on her own. 😅 Also to be clear, the different iterations of Doctor Who are not exactly reboots. Each new Doctor is just a new regenerated form that continue the Doctor's adventures through time, the latest being the 13th Doctor, played by Jodie Whitaker. My personal favorite Doctor Who series was the 2005 one with the 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston.) Though a lot of people loved David Tennant (the 10th Doctor), I really enjoyed and loved the story and chemistry between Christopher and Rose (Billie Piper.)❤️

WastedPo

I'm there right there with you, friend. I'm actually a little astounded that they're looking for *more* shows to watch, because my impression was that they were already swamped with all the shows they're watching already. Maybe most people are here for the TV reactions and us movie-folk are the outliers. And when the movie polls do come, they always include so many movies that inevitably the same type of movie always wins. I've suggested that the polls be smaller and categorized by genre, as I've seen other reactors do. However, people seem pleased with how things are. Don't get me wrong, that's cool. And I understand the channel has to cater to what the majority wants. If the current system is perfect for most patrons, then it would be silly to change anything.

Anonymous

I couldn't find my old comments so I'll post again. Spartacus is one of the greatest shows of all time, and I'll keep recommending it to reactors. However I strongly agree with the people saying, you should Make Better Call Saul your next main show. It just makes the most sense after Breaking Bad. And I think you'll love it as well.

Peadar O'Ruadhán

If you like SciFi and Fantasy, and appreciate a good long story arc like GoT, with real 3 dimensional, dynamic characters, you NEED to do the Expanse. The novels were written by two people that used to work for GRR Martin, and the TV series is one of GRR Martins favourites. It ran for 3 seasons on SyFy, before being cancelled. The fans then rallied and launched a huge campaign and convinced Amazon to pick it up. They released s4 last december and s5 is in post production as we speak. Set 200 years in the future, Humanity has colonised the solar system. You have Earth which has depleted its resources and is grossly overpopulated. You have Mars, who are an independent state, who are trying to terraform Mars. And then you have the 'Belt' and the moons of Jupiter and Saturn, inhabited by the 'Belters' who are exploited and provide resources to the inner planets. Tensions are rising, and the system is on the verge of war. Against this backdrop, you have basically a film noir detective story involving a police detective on Ceres trying to find a missing daughter of a hyperwealthy family. Picture Game of thrones, combined with Battlestar Galactica, with a dash of a 1950's Film Noir detective tale, and you get one of the best series ever produced. As well you have a very active fanbase, that is incredibly hungry for any Expanse content while we wait for Season 5 to come out. First couple of episodes some people think are a bit slow as there is a lot of 'world building' but 4-5 episodes in it goes up a gear and never slows down.

I'm somewhat surprised that nobody has mentioned Stargate SG1. It ran for 10 years, and spawned two spinoff series, Stargate Atlantis & Universe. It picks up where the 90s movie Stargate (starring Kurt Russell & James Spader) left off. Great writing, humor, and world building.
