Hi everyone and welcome back! Kim and her husband are doing a lot better (tested positive for Covid-19). So thanks for caring! Most of you know my Dad was also rushed to the ER last week, but is now fairing well at home. What a month! Hope you all are doing ok as well! #AloneTogether

Time for another Movie POLL! Whatever WINS here, please give us at least a week to watch and edit :) If your request didn't make it in, it will eventually since I rotate requests in and out every POLL. Please feel free to request (again) in the comments of this POST if your request isn't listed here. We most likely have it on our LIST, but popular demand will bring it back to the top. I always look through requests here as well as through private message :) These POLLS will now be once a week. If we have extra time, Mom and Kim will choose the second movie for fun :)

Happy Voting and thanks for your support! xoxo

Also, we did watch Men in Black! That will be up this weekend! Mom and Kim voted on that, LOL! Best part is, they have NEVER heard anything about it. They had NO idea at all. That was wonderful! XD

Oh! Any subtitled movies we will hold off on for now since through Zoom, it's very difficult for Mom to read. I'm trying to find an easy solution for her. Her ipad is too small and I can't go into her house to move the TV super close. We will eventually be back on a couch together.. but it may be a long while before that. Mom and Dad's health always comes first. xoxo

Dunkirk is a fantastic movie, you would love it! You should also add Ratatouille, The Social Network (best movie of the decade), Good Will Hunting to this list.

Anonymous

World's End is the final film of the Cornetto Trilogy (Shaun of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, World's End). And in my opinion it's the best of the three.

Watch the Mask of Zorro

Luis Garcia

You should watch Spy Kids, Ice Age, and Hoodwinked.

Ghibli films definitely need to be watched! Spirited away. Howl’s moving castle. Princess mononoke. My neighbour totoro. Kiki’s delivery service.

Evander

GOODFELLAS

WastedPo

Spirited Away is a masterpiece. But as I said elsewhere, I have mixed feelings about them currently watching visually-amazing movies. I presume their zoom setup means that they're all watching on computer monitors. And even then, the movie might not even be taking up the full screen. Such a setup would really do a disservice to a movie like Spirited Away. (Hopefully this will be a non-issue before too long, and they can all watch together again on the big screen.)

WastedPo

I'd love it if they watched the Guillermo Del Toro Hellboy. Extended Cut version for this one, please.

Anonymous

Heat and Saving Private Ryan are always good suggestions, as always.

Anonymous

You should react to 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (another Michael Bay film) and The Green Mile! Oh, and National Treasure! So many good films still to watch. xD

Josh B.

Still waiting on the rest of the DCEU movies Suicide Squad, Aquaman, Shazam, and Justice League

Kevin

You definitely need to watch Kill Bill Vol. 2 as Kill Bill is a two part movie (think Dearthly Hallows pt 1 and 2).

Kevin

Other than Kill Bill pt 2, you definitely would love JoJo Rabbit, its very cute and moving. And has Black Widow!

Anonymous

I absolutely love 13 Hours! For me, it's Michael Bay's best film!

Can I make a suggestion.. when you start a series such as the Matrix, Kill Bill, and men in black. Etc. Run the whole series before starting another Poll. So that there's not months and months for the series to gets finished. And some series are better, seeing them right after each other, if you rely on the poll some series may never get finished.

Anonymous

It's a constant problem I have with these. So many great movies were wasted because of Transformers. Don't get me wrong, I like those reactions, but I see no point in including them in the polls if they keep winning no matter what.

George Bean

Yes DEFINITELY 'THE ROCK', you NEED to watch that, it is Michael Bay's best film, and it features Ed Harris delivering possibly his best performance out there. And it's got Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage. PLEASE 'THE ROCK'.

Anonymous

The fact that Armageddon is winning shows just how much taste some of your audience has. Ugh. There's a video on youtube of Ben Affleck himself trashing it for 5-10 minutes straight lol - pretty funny watch.

George Bean

They should actually go for The Rock, now that is Bay's at his very best, and it has stellar performances from Connery, Cage, and especially Harris as Gen. Hummel. ;)

Anonymous

I feel left hanging without a reaction for Narnia 2

Anonymous

May I respectfully suggest Creed 1 and 2? And also Rocky movies if necessary? I also think you all would love The Prestige. It's Christopher Nolan's best movie.

WastedPo

I have a couple suggestions on how the movie-picking process might be tweaked to give less-mainstream movies a fighting chance. 1) Lottery System: I sent Storm/Dawn a PM about this idea a while back, but it probably got lost in the avalanche of messages she gets. (April 2nd, if you're reading this - thanks). But basically, the idea was that in addition to regular polls, Storm Akima could have regular "lotteries," where patrons could submit their own personal favorite movie titles that might otherwise be overlooked. Then for each lottery, a special video could be uploaded to youtube where all these submissions are picked out of a hat and the winner announced. So in addition to it giving some smaller movies a chance, it might add some variety/excitement to things (and perhaps even motivate more people towards becoming patrons). 2) Specialized polls: I follow another reactor who puts movie polls up with FAR FEWER movies on them. And he actually groups them into similar categories. So he might have a poll that lists only six movies, and with *just* indie sci-fi movies. Or another with just dramas. This at least ensures that movies of a certain budget, or a certain subgenre will be represented in one way or another. As it is, I think with having such a huge amount of movies listed on every Storm Akima poll, it guarantees that certain types of movies will never win. I know I have a personal wishlist of movies I'd like to see reactions to. But I also know if by some miracle they were listed in a poll - they'd come in last every time when going up against Michael Bay type of movies. By having smaller, more specific polls, this might allow for more variety.

zammmerjammer

I support the lottery idea. Plenty of great movies will never win a popularity contest (and plenty of stinkers will).

zammmerjammer

Here to vote for Scott Pilgrim again. It is EXACTLY the sort of movie you guys would enjoy. Also suggesting L.A. Confidential (some film critics consider it a perfectly made film -- can't beat that) and Sneakers which is just a great movie all around and shockingly prescient about the information age considering it came out in 1992.

Luis Garcia

You should do Crimes of Grindelwald

Anonymous

'Predator' (1987) is a must. You already reacted to 'Alien' and 'Aliens'. Those two franchises are connected so I guess is time to revisit that universe. .... And also you should also consider watching 'Battle: Los Angeles' (2011).

Anonymous

I hope real steel wins soon it’s a movie I used to love and forget how great it is

Can you please upload Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Anonymous

Genuine question: is someone somehow hacking the polls because every michael bay movie just went up by 30-40 votes from when I last checked last night

Anonymous

Looks like a whole handful of movies went up 30-40 votes overnight, not just Bay movies. Real Steel, The Patriot, 40 Year Old Virgin, all went up too like that. I don't think it's a Michael Bay thing.

Sohail Jafar

What in the world is happening to this poll?

Some movie recommendations for the next poll: Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan(you don't need to see the first Star Trek film), Air Force One, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, Anchorman.

Anonymous

I really hope the Patriot wins out, I love that movie! I'm good with Armageddon too, that movie is so much fun. For a future poll I'd love to see Maverick-1994, Face Off, Invincible-2006, the Italian Job-2003, Warrior-2011. Warrior is simply fantastic, and my favorite Tom hardy movie!

Hope you guys are doing well and that your family is able to get better! Great poll this week, I'm really excited if Armageddon wins, I just adore that film! Trying to think of some movies to recommend for the future, here goes: American Sniper, Gran Torino, Con Air, Broken Arrow, Face-Off, Scream, Prince of Egypt, Pearl Harbor, Clue, Masters of the Universe, Dirty Dancing, Tommy Boy, Battle: Los Angeles

Mr. Sweetfreak

Damn a lot of movies went to 100s that fast 😂

WastedPo

Kind of the same thing that happens with every poll. Things start off slowly, with the numbers going up gradually across the board. Then suddenly a handful of movies leap up by 50 points, while everything else stays the same. Hence, nonstop Transformers/Bay movies.

Anonymous

A lot of fun movies on the poll this week! I'm still behind on a couple of your last reactions. For some future movie picks: Tim Burton's Batman, Face Off, 13 Hours: the Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, Saving Private Ryan, Justice League, Power Rangers(the reboot), The Cutting Edge, Flash Gordon, Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan, Warrior, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(1990 live-action film), Hacksaw Ridge

Anonymous

people are making multiple accounts just to vote for Armageddon!!! idiots

Anonymous

Wow, there sure are a vocal minority of you who just get butt hurt over having movies win the polls that you don't like. "Oh man, I don't like Michael Bay movies, it must be a conspiracy!" Um, yeahhhh. Have fun with that.

I thought I’d throw out some sci-fi suggestions I don’t think I’ve seen come up too often. --Gattaca (1997): Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman and Jude Law. Tonally, it’s like a cross between sci-fi and Film Noir. It’s about genetic engineering, but it feels almost like a fable. I remember when I first saw this, I was hooked as soon as the beautiful score by Michael Nyman started playing. --Contact (1997): Thoughtful sci-fi movie starring Jodie Foster, based on a book by Carl Sagan. This was directed by Robert Zemeckis in the same era he did Forrest Gump and Cast Away, and you can really tell, because the look and feel between these movies are very similar. --12 Monkeys (1996): My favorite Terry Gilliam movie. Bruce Willis and Madeleine Stowe. It's cool how the relationships evolve through the course of this one. Brad Pitt also won a Supporting Actor Golden Globe. This was earlier in his career, and at the time, it was considered a novelty for him to not be a suave leading man. --Minority Report: Early 2000s Spielberg with Tom Cruise and a *very* distinct cinematography style. There are some concepts that might remind you of Edge of Tomorrow, which of course was made much later. --Ex Machina (2014): Minimalist and slightly-disturbing. Beforehand, you should re-watch the opening scene of The Last Jedi when Poe Dameron trolls the snide General Hux. And then when you watch Ex Machina, it’ll be startling how different the dynamic is between these same exact actors.

Anonymous

Great list of movies this week! The Patriot and Real Steel are actually two of my favorite films. I'm really excited to see your Men In Black reaction this weekend! For movie recommendations for the future, might I add Star Trek: First Contact(my favorite Trek film), The Rocketeer, Dick Tracy, Crimson Tide, The Three Muskateers(1993), The Man in the Iron Mask

Anonymous

I'd love to see you guys tackle some 80's fantasy, like Krull, Excalibur, Masters of the Universe, Willow, Dragon Slayer. For this week's poll, I'm pulling for Predator or The Patriot.

Your guys' reaction to Galaxy Quest was fantastic, and I'd love to see you do more comedies. Some of my favorites I'd recommend is Airplane, Naked Gun, Tommy Boy, Coming To America, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Anchorman.

Man, the poll is really stacked this week. I'm curious to see what movies will be on the next poll. I'd love to see Shawshank Redemption win this week, but I'm a fan of most of the films on top, so I'll definitely be looking forward to the winning reaction.

How many movies are you going to react to from this poll? Because there are some great movies on here like Real Steel, The Rock, and Armageddon. I'd love to see you guys watch some more non-DC and non-Marvel superhero movies like Kick-Ass, Sky High, Flash Gordon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(the first film from 1990), Unbreakable, Power Rangers, The Rocketeer. Also, some random films I'd like to see on a future poll: Scream(at least the first one), Rudy, A League of Their Own, Warrior, Rocky, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Space Cowboys.

Joe: The Movie(animated), Dumb & Dumber, Dan in Real Life, Up in The Air, Out of Sight, Lord of War, Million Dollar Baby, Labyrinth, Team America: World Police.

Anonymous

13 Hours would be great! I finally saw that movie about a year ago and its probably my favorite Bay movie. And yes, they need to watch the original Star Trek movies! Wrath of Khan would be a great starting point, since it basically ignores Star Trek:The Motion Picture that preceded it.

Anonymous

Yes! Batman '89! The Dark Knight trilogy was good and all, but for me that first Tim Burton film is THE Batman film. Jack Nicholson is still my favorite Joker.

Anonymous

I'd really like The Rock or Predator to win the poll this week. I'm a big military film buff, some movie I'd love to see on a poll would be Crimson Tide, Heartbreak Ridge, Saving Private Ryan, 13 Hours:The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, Hacksaw Ridge, Pearl Harbor, Sands of Iwo Jima, Behind Enemy Lines, Men of Honor, Top Gun, American Sniper, Battle: Los Angeles, Lone Survivor.

Anonymous

I love Star Trek: First Contact! It's not my favorite Trek film overall, but I definitely think it's the best of the Next Generation crew films.

My preferable choice to win the poll would be The Patriot. But with seeing a lot of the complaining and wining about Michael Bay films on here, I went and voted for Armageddon, Bad Boys 2, and The Rock as well!

Anonymous

I don't know if you guys are taking tv show recommendations or if there's going to be a tv show poll coming up, I know you have a fullplate already, but here are some recommendations: West Wing, the Orville, Lucifer, Transformers: Prime, Transformers(the original series that is connected with the 1986 animated movie).

Another great poll this time! I'm really torn on what I want to win this week. Some possible movie picks for the future: There's a couple newer movies that were made for Netflix that are really fun action flicks, Extraction(with Chris Hemsworth), and 6 Underground(with Ryan Reynolds). Also- Justice League, Warrior(MMA film starring Tom Hardy), Air Force One, Stranger Than Fiction, Superman Returns, Tears of the Sun, The Devil Wears Prada.

Oh I'd love to see 40 year Old Virgin pull out a win in this week's poll! One of my all-time favorite comedies! I think you guys should watch and react to the original Tim Burton Batman films, beginning with Batman '89 and Batman Returns(both fantastic in my opinion). Then continue to the Joel Schumaker films Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, so you can see why the Batman film franchise was put on ice for 8 years before the Dark Knight trilogy was made. Other movies for recommendation: Superman(the original Christopher Reeve version), Daredevil, Power Rangers(the reboot film), Sky High

Anonymous

Man, a lot of fun movies to choose from this week. I put my votes in for Armageddon and the Patriot. It would be nice to see a reaction to Real Steel though, that film is so charming and surprisingly emotional. For my movie picks for the poll, Tropic Thunder, Hancock, Starship Troopers, Get Smart, Step Brothers, E.T., The Other Guys, Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief, Warrior, The Fighter, This Means War, Crazy Stupid Love

Anonymous

So are some great picks! I also recommended Warrior. I forgot there was a Power Rangers movie reboot. I know Power Rangers was big in the 90s, but I never got into it.

I love the Rundown!I think that's one of the Rock's first movies.

Lots of great movies to vote for this week. I'm pulling for Armageddon, but I also wouldn't mind seeing The Patriot or The Rock win. Movie poll recommendations: True Lies, Terminator Salvation, Tropic Thunder, Lethal Weapon, The Expendables. TV show recommendations: Alias, Transformers: Prime, The Office, Dexter.

Anonymous

Some really fun recommendations. Mr. & Mrs, Smith is a blast. Master of the Universe is just classic 80s sci-fi fun. I remember watching that movie a ton as a kid. Not a big fan of the Supergirl movie, although I thought the actress did a good job.

Anonymous

I love the Olympus Has fallen franchise! I just saw the third movie on streaming a couple weeks ago. those would be fun movies for them to react to!

Anonymous

Oh the 1966 Batman movie would make for a hilarious reaction! I'd also like to see them react to Power Rangers.

Anonymous

The Patriot is my favorite Mel Gibson film, I love that movie! It doesn't look like it will win this week's poll, but I hope they still watch it. Armageddon is pretty darn good too, so no complaints here.

Those are some great 80's classics right there! I'd love for them to watch Batman '89, especially with them having already seen the Nolan films, it would be a fun contrast.

I'd love to see you guys react to the live-action Aladdin that came out last year. Also really excited to see you guys watch Armageddon, love that movie!

6 Underground is a lot of fun, I had the chance to finally watch it during this whole quarantine thing. And pretty much all the others you listed are good to great films. 13 Hours gives The Rock a run for its money as Michael Bay's best movie. And Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis is terribly underrated.

Monty Python and the holy grail is a superb comedy to add to the list

Looks like we're getting Armageddon. I think that'll be a fun reaction. I wonder if they'll watch any of the other movies that were on the poll

I love Airplane! I don't think that movie would be made in today's soft PC society.

Must react to the movie Willow. Sci-fi flim fantasy almost like lord of the rings. Sword fight battles. Witches, sorcerers, newin village like the shire, quest, the creator of star wars George Lucas is in involved. George Lucas flim. Ron Howard is the director. Currently on Disney+ and there will be a series coming soon years after the movie takes place. People who haven't seen Willow is missing out. Great flim.

Wait, Armageddon won this poll? Are you freaking kidding me??!?! Other that Alvin, every single movie on this list is better than it! Sure it's watchable, but It's one of the most generic, cheesy, poorly acted films of the 90's where even great actors are terrible! I"m just so taken aback. I voted on the poll early expecting one of the two films which were quite in the lead to win, Arrival or Kill Bill 2. Are people trolling for bad movies to win?

Hey man, all movies are subjective. If you don't like it, that's perfectly valid. But a lot of people do. And if you watch the reaction, all 3 of them absolutely loved it, loved the acting, and even teared up at different moments. You don't need to crap on other peoples' subjective tastes and opinions that differ from yours.

Hmmm, I thought these polls were going to be once a week.
