TV Show POLL- What are we watching next?! (Patreon)

Hi everyone and welcome back! So, Kim just informed me she really likes DAREDEVIL and wants to keep watching... LOL.. we are almost done with The Boys, so I believe we will commit to DAREDEVIL, but want to still react to other shows as well! Kim is still in training to help me edit, but she is getting there and working hard to learn... meaning more shows if we keep growing too! You all are amazing!

We will also take on Chernobyl too since that is so highly requested too. Whatever WINS here, we will squeeze in when we have time :) Hope that's ok for now, until Kim is up to speed editing with me!

Chernobyl questions- is this series based off actual facts? Do you think Mom can handle this? Thanks!

Chernobyl is partially based on real events, though they have taken some creative liberties! Still, it is incredibly well made, even though it has some deeply unpleasant scenes... after watching The Boys though, it may not be so bad...

Chernobyl is very intense and has some gory and graphic scenes depicting events based on a true event.

I think the best show ever made for me was The Twilight Zone; although since every episode is a different short story I would really love for you to react to fan favorites. Black Mirror has a few good episodes as well, but can you imagine being able to introduce people to a gem like The Twilight Zone?

Yay for Kim! DAREDEVIL is awesome! If you like the dark and gritty of Batman but set in the Marvel universe, you will LOVE Daredevil. And I think you already do!

I voted for The Handmaid's Tale (fantastic series, especially the 1st season). But I continue to be a cheerleader for Bates Motel -- the acting is FANTASTIC (and it's funnier than you'd expect considering the subject matter).

Chernobyl Advice - it’s a must see. Yes, it is based on true events. I agree with Denashi, Mom should be able to handle just fine, though there is a great deal of techno-talk. However, it does an excellent job of educating the audience. Abstaining on the vote, since I’ve seen none of these. :) Has anyone brought up BSG here?

I'll note that while Good Omens doesn't have many votes, it's only 6 episodes, so viewing it in its entirety would be pretty easy. Chernobyl: Strictly in terms of graphic content, you've seen much more extreme content on Game of Thrones. I think Chernobyl is harder since it's based on true events. I think portions of the 4th episode would be the most difficult (and I've personally chosen to never watch that episode). So I think you might want to spoil yourself a bit for that episode (and perhaps the third) either to be able to tell them when to look away or to not watch that episode. I would respect that choice (obviously, since that's what I've done). I absolutely think it's worth the watch, though.

LOST is hands down the best show to react to. Most shows have unbelievable did-not-see-that-coming cliffhangers at the end of a season. LOST has like 3 per episode in a 24 episode season.

While I agree that Chernobyl is as high quality as it gets, it's not for the faint of heart. Some visuals are haunting to say the least and I'd strongly suggest her mom sit this one out.

I feel like this list is missing some pretty heavy hitters: Sopranos, Fargo, Better Call Saul, Dexter, Narcos etc. I don't know how the titles for these lists are chosen, but if you're looking for inspiration, I would suggest looking at IMdB's Top 250 TV shows of all time. There you'll find everyone's favourite shows.

I guess maybe not Better Call Saul as you guys are far from finishing BrBad, but I highly recommend starting that as soon as you've finished - it's very different, but equally exceptionally well-written.

Wish there were a few retro shows on the list- there's a ton of classic shows that reactors never even seem to go near that in my opinion are a way better than a lot is what is on that list. The day I can get an online reactor to watch Babylon 5 will be an incredibly happy day!

Suggestion: Dark on Netflix. Really great sci-fi/mystery mix. Has some Stranger Things vibes, but much more complex and dark.

What about shows like Rick & Morty, an under rated gem like Silicon Valley, or dare I say some fan favorites of South Park episodes? Just to mix it up a little bit, and add more comedy.

Chernobyl is graphic at times because of the radiation effects, other then that its mostly a good ass drama worth watching. Honestly if Mom could handle The Boys I don't see why she wouldn't Chernobyl. It's very powerful and probably the best show ive seen this year.

Most of Chernobyl shows what really happened in real life before and after the disaster, the characters in the show are all based off real people too, it puts you right inside of the events and makes you feel like you were really there. That is one of the reasons it can be hard for people to watch as knowing these events really happened is the most effective type of "horror" out there, real life horror. But Mom should be okay, you guys have seen some crazy stuff, this is definitely in its own league though considering how "real" it is but its like a history lesson that we all need to see i feel like. For the victims and survivors, we owe it to them. So i hope you guys will enjoy it!
