Hi everyone and thanks so much for your patience!! I always try to do more than I actually physically can do, doh! So I'm happy we finally watched this and it's up for viewing! Yay! I know X-Men Origins: Wolverine is next in theatrical release order... so once we watch that at some point, we will continue with the newer movies (when they WIN the POLLS or when we have time). Thanks all! This was so dark...

Scott Summers as a character (The defacto leader of the X-men) is definitely a causality of this series of films and I hope when Disney-Marvel gets around to doing their take on X-men (now that they have the rights) Scott will get treated better. Also they sure crammed a lot into this movie and didn't really bother to characterise the Phoenix Force other than "evil dual personality". Looking forward to seeing how everyone reacts™ to the First Class/Days of Future Past characters.

X MEN First Class and X MEN Days of Future Past next can't wait!! Also in the comics Scarlet Witch and Quick Silver (introduced in Avengers 2) is Magento's children

Not having read the comics, i can only judge X-Men 3 on its own terms as a movie. No, it's not as good as the first two, but it certainly isn't awful. The cure storyline is excellent and causes much more interesting fallout than the Phoenix storyline, which feels a bit undercooked.

I'm willing to spoil that for you. Its believed that Charles Xavier transferred his consciousness into the body of teh comatose man, shown earlier in the movie.

Thanks for the reaction guys! Dawn If you want to continue the X-Men franchise, You still have some amazing movies to go. I would go with what most comments have already mentioned, I would move straight onto X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men Apocalypse and finally Logan. Logan is probably one of the best X-Men movies ever created, although some may disagree :)
