Awesome. Look forward to more one-off movies. Series are great but can get bogged down, especially with series that are hit or miss (like x-men)

Ohhhhh surprise movie!! Epic request Fraser nice determination haha. This is a great pick.

Persistance and politeness is the key my friend, such an epic film that I feel everyone should have the benefit of seeing

This was an fun reaction (as always). I did not expect that i'd be watching Braveheart tonight. I don't think i've seen it since the 90s. This film has been heavily criticized for it's historical inaccuracies, and that's probably fair. But that doesn't take away from this being a pretty rousing epic. And a story doesn't have to be true to be good. For me, the hard part is divorcing all the good of the film with the terrible person Mel Gibson turned out to be, but there is no question Braveheart is a powerful movie. I even shed a tear at the end. Edit: I was looking around on IMDb, checking out actors in Braveheart and discovered that Angus Macfadyen, who played Robert the Bruce, has a movie about Robert the Bruce coming out this year where he again plays Robert the Bruce. Huh.

This was unexpected, in a good way though. It's nice that you chose a random movie that someone requested. The polls are nice but they tend to unintentionally favor the bigger and more well known movies and franchises. They're still good movies but it's nice for a little change of pace. Now if only Scott Pilgrim could get more votes.

I just finished it, that movie gets me every time. Watching along with you guys, it got me even more!

Well remember, the film is about redemption too. I think we can throw a little Mel Gibson's way :)

It’s been a while since I watched Braveheart. Such a great film! The movie Outlaw King on Netflix picks up the story where Braveheart ends following the Robert the Bruce. I liked that movie too 🙂

Drew

You gotta watch Outlaw King next. It's the film that just came out about Robert the Bruce after the events depicted in Braveheart, its fantastic and essentially a sequel to Braveheart. I feel like it's important to see so you know the whole story. In a lot of ways I think Robert the Bruce is a more interesting character, he is complex and goes through interesting developement.

Lee Salvemini

I'm getting pretty ready to watch that again! Count me in for voting it :D

Even if i wanted to, he made The Passion of The Christ, and i can't forgive him for that. XD

If your interested in Scottish history I would recommend "the stone of destiny."

It’s been so long since I’ve seen this movie and it’s still incredible and I loved your reactions another great movie I hope you have the time to watch someday is Gladiator that is pretty emotional too. Looking forward to your next reactions!

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

If you loved this movie, you should watch Kingdom of Heaven starring Orlando Bloom and Liam Neeson, and King Arthur starring Clive Owen and Ioan Gruffudd. Both movies are phenomenal and epic just like Braveheart.

This movie was quite good. Very sad. I love the history and the power of this movie. It's a bit too violent for my taste, but then it is a movie of men fighting a war for freedom against tyranny, for the sake of their loved ones and their country. Thank you for another good movie reaction!

The Last of the Mohicans will be nice :)

Before the age of CGI armies, there was Braveheart. It kind of blows my mind to think that everything you see on screen actually existed. Every horse is a horse. Every soldier on the battlefield is a real extra with prop weapons. Fire is really fire.
