Hi everyone and welcome back! This movie was amazing! I was so curious how Mom and Kim would take the "I am Your Father" line! I've never seen this movie in it's entirety... wow, I missed a lot, LOL!

I am going on vacation (for the first time in years!) Thanks to my twin brother, Tom, who is treating us to a free stay in Disney next week... yay! So this week, we tried our best to cram in as many reactions as we could do... so I've been editing none stop the last couple days and will continue to do so this weekend. Whatever I don't finish will be up when we get back next weekend!

Wow, I'm very interested to see this! This is a movie that few people can experience for the first time nowadays, since it's so ingrained in the pop culture.

The absolute masterpiece of the Star Wars saga. The set- and sound design in Empire is still amazing, and it's the best directed and acted of the original trilogy by a country mile. It manages to top the first movie despite being totally different.

Couple of things I remember off the top of my head, for the sake of trivia (and feel free to add things I forgot). So Mark Hamill had a car accident between a new hope and empire. It really smashed him up, including his face. Of course he recovered fine, but did look different. So Irvin Kershner (who was actually George Lucas' teacher at film school in CA!) added him being attacked by the Wampa into the script. Irvin when asked to direct this one, initially thought "How can you make a sequel to the most popular movie of all time", but after some friends gave him some support and said go for it, he took on the director role, and ended up making one of (if not 'the') best Star Wars film :D [Small clip - <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R66FvPTj2Yw" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R66FvPTj2Yw</a> ] The special edition is much more toned down after a new hope, just a few additions that I honestly didn't mind :D Cloud city still has some of the matte paintings from the original (in this blu-ray release), but they added some new CG shots too (and windows outside cloud city used to just be diffuse colour panel of some kind. The extra crowd shots as Lando tells the people to leave cloud city was new (in the original he just speaks into the mic). The video above also mentions the famous 'I know' response to I love you. Yep, Harrison and Irvin knew saying 'I love you too', even though the love was there, was breaking his character too much, too early. So they just went with a 'whatever take', and voilà movie magic. Glad you had a blast with this one, I still have a special place in my heart for the original trilogy. It just seemed to snapshot a perfect time as a kid (watching it around 1994 on vhs), and cinema history (anti-hero movies were king in mid/late 70s until Star Wars dropped), and made an awesome mythical story and lore to go around it :) Cheers Dawn and thanks again to Kim and your Mum for completing the most awesome reaction team!

I glad you all enjoyed the imperial march song for darth Vader and the imperial fleet. That song has been a fan favourite for a long time. Just on the choking, powerful sith (darksider’s), have the capacity to force choke from the other side of the galaxy if they know where you are or are talking to them. Range isn’t an issue re the force.
