It's interesting that Iron Man in the finale of X-Men '97 series looks exactly the same one from Iron Man the animated series (1994), but that series doesn't share the continuity with X-Men and Spider-Man the animated series. I did mentioned about the book called Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z Volume 5 in Episode 7 reaction about the appearance of General Ross from The Incredible Hulk. According to the book, the designation of X-Men the animated series (1992-1996) and Spider-Man the animated series (1994-1998) is Earth-92131. The designation of other 90s animated series: Iron Man (1994), The Incredible Hulk (1996-1997), and Fantastic Four (1994) is Earth-534834. I think the reason why Iron Man looks exactly the same one from Iron Man animated series is maybe an Easter egg or reference of the show. Still, I don't think it's the same person from Iron Man animated series. In the multiverse, variants can sometimes be look alike so theoretically, I think that's probably a variant. One thing I heard is confusing: I heard from X/Twitter, the X-Men '97 showrunner Beau DeMayo did confirmed that General Ross that appeared in Episode 7 is the same one from The Incredible Hulk animated series (1996). I don't think it's possible because it's actually the first appearance of Earth-92131's General Ross in X-Men '97 series, not Earth-534834's General Ross from The Incredible Hulk animated series and they can't be the same person if they're in separate universes since 2008. No spoilers from other 90s animated Marvel series, I also heard from X/Twitter, one of the fans asked questions to DeMayo about other 90s animated shows tell different stories and doesn't match with X-Men animated series with different plot. DeMayo said he can't speak to that decision. This is confusing I would say. There's no official confirmation from Marvel Studios that the other 90s animated series are in the same universe. If Marvel confirm that it is the same universe, this will create many plot holes and I think it would be best for Marvel to fix the continuity error and to address the confusion about the book saying about separate universes Earth-92131 and Earth-534834.

I have one more thing to mention, the truth is in the comics, Cloak and Dagger are not mutants, they're actually mutates. Mutates are people who get superpowers from anything that is chemical or radioactive. For example, Peter Parker/Spider-Man got bitten by radioactive spider which that makes him a mutate. When people are born with superpowers, they're mutants. Also, I forgot to mention that there's no Alpha Force in Marvel comics, and it's only called Alpha Flight.
