Hi all! Please check out this link and give me your thoughts on this new editing style. It's of Mission: Impossible 7 DEAD RECKONING. I will be deleting this link in a few days to avoid any manual copyright issues. Would love your opinion!

Note: Copyright claims/blocks on YouTube are very complicated. I've heard some channels can use longer clips, but anytime we use a clip over 6 seconds, the video is blocked, then I dispute, which leads to the company rejecting or striking that video. Movie copyright is the hardest to work with. Anywho, this style wasn't picked up by YouTube's algortihm at all.

Is this style less distracting and more enjoyable than our circles? No matter what, the video has to change every 6 seconds.

Thanks for your input!

I think visually this works very well for Youtube edits. You see a lot of the movie this way. Of course, the final YT edit isn't going to show over 2 hours of movie. I'd just like to suggest that when you cut down the length for the YT version, try to include as many key scenes as possible. I think viewers tend to prefer seeing the full movie story "represented." Hopefully with this new editing style, it's less risky to ultimately show more of the movie. Also, I wonder if it would be possible to not have the tinny/compromised sound? I know that's done to avoid strikes, but other channels seem to be able to get away with just having the normal audio. (Though I understand that YT isn't consistent with how strict they are with various reaction channels.) I just think this is probably another element that would make an impression on first-time viewers. Maybe the YT algorithm isn't as concerned with audio than it is with visuals? Or maybe you could chop up the sound in a similar manner as you're currently doing visuals--where once in a while you could temporarily revert to the tinny sound?

Definitely better. I felt the sudden cut to a different visual was always distracting. Here, you can keep up with the reaction and the film.

Thank you WastedPo! I will try to keep more in when I can! Sometimes, if a long scene goes uncut (even with my circle/added effects), it will still be blocked by copyright. That's why I've been cutting up each scene a lot. Unfortunately, audio is the worse than visual. This is the closest altered audio I could come up with to avoid copyright. I used to use the real audio, but there would have to be a 20 to 30 second gap inbetween 6 second clips. It's so crazy! I have seen channels react to songs, which I am so stumped on how they are able to do so... unless they have some sort of deal wth the artist? I will keep trying to improve our videos! I can test our audio a little more to see how much closer I can make it to the original, but still avoid copyright issues. Thanks for your input!! :)
