sorry, joined recently, but I've come to notice that with posts older than this, images other than the first one can only be opened as Webp instead of native png

I read both your comments and I know what's happen. You should click on image and then open image in new tab. Then you will get normal resolution and png. Otherwise it's would be always webp and in lower res, no matter how old they are I hope this is helpful~

the ones between the two comments have the problem, any before the first open properly through the method you mentioned, and any after can be expanded then saved normally but those between either open in new tab as png, or as Webm. but thanks for the advice it does help for the content before.
