Simply extract the contents of the archive into your \AddonPackages folder. Make sure that you download all dependencies from the VAM Resource Manager. Enjoy :)

It's finally here! As usual, please report any bugs you encounter. I have extensively play-tested the scene in Desktop VR, but less so in Headset VR. I fully expect some number of bugs, so please just message me, and I will release a patch ASAP. I have already noticed a minor, but somewhat annoying visual bug (tearing) on Headset during the Pink sequence, unfortunately I have not yet figured out a solution, but I will patch it out as soon as I can!

This scene is dummy thicc, so it has a loading screen that is dummy long... sorry about that. If you use VAM's Cache system, then subsequent loads will be significantly faster! If VAM is installed on an HDD... well... good luck with that.

Part I includes an introductory sequence with player navigation and interaction, followed by three completely separate, narratively driven, sequences. I will eventually release a Walkthrough, in case anyone gets stuck. In total, the scene features:

  • 100+ Animations
  • 200+ (?) Logic Brick States
  • ~30 Minutes Minimum Playtime
  • 3 Mini Story Arcs
  • Player Navigation + Embody
  • Raven <3

Really enjoyed the knowledge/bravery scenes. Getting this error when trying to load the "Happiness" option in the book, and the environment isn't loading for me, I've downloaded all the dependencies from the package manager in game. "!&gt; LoadJSON: File Saves/PluginData/EmbodyProfiles/Locked.embodyprofile not found"

Interesting. I will double check to make sure that all the dependency assets are properly recorded. The error report you are getting is unrelated to assets not loading however, it's attempting to load a preset for the Embody plugin which I abandoned using.

Actually, are you quite certain that the environment fails to load? The transition to that sequence should be totally black for approximately half a minute. Are only some certain assets not loading in?

I got all to the way to the part where she asks you to look for tinder/firewood, and then I couldn't trigger anything else. Do I need to add environment files to a specific location in the install, I just moved everything to AddonPackages

2022-01-02 03:43:20 hey luther, i am also having the same problem as orlandu. the dialogue works fine in happiness, but i get some weird environment load, it's like green water i think? i tried finding bb and raven and i couldn't find either in the environment even tho VAM shows that they are there under edit &gt; person

Okay thanks, I will look into it. It's possible that the assets used in that scene weren't picked up by VAM's automatic dependency creator.

just an update: i reloaded the scene and it worked. however ran into the same issue above where firewood is mentioned and then can't trigger anything else

Here is what it should look like, https://imgur.com/f1b2VCl https://imgur.com/5wYpAai These objects really should appear since the models are actually included in the AddonPackage, and the buttons are just native to VAM. So, if they are not appearing there must be a problem with the Logic Bricks scripting.

Looks like I have all the assets, it just isn't loading. I was able to load the environment by going into the Pink state machine instance and checking a box for one of the triggers to load the island. Not a big deal, I was able to play the scene out from there. Really happy with how this scene turned out! I don't mind the handful of issues to debug. There are a couple of other bugs I noticed, it seems like its triggering the built in possess mode rather than activating embody in many instances, causing the head to be visible to where the back of the eyeballs can be seen on beast boy. Other triggers will remove the possession entirely and reposition me somewhere else in the scene, and I have to float back to that spot. For the knowledge scene (in VR), I only noticed a very small funny glitch, the girl's dialogue box rotates around rapidly on one of the animations. I expected a handful of things to go wrong given the complexity of this scene, so overall excellent work!

I have the same problem as the guy above, during the part of "Happiness" i spawn in the middle of the ocean, i thought it was normal, and im in some type of magic that im floating in the middle of the ocean, but i understood that i was supposed to be in a island and the 2 objects that are floating next to me should be burried in the "sand". Same during bonfire, its all a dark background, except me and the girl. Am i doing something wrong?
