Caanbo

Have fun and stay safe

Joshua Flowers

Yay, more Rhir. Enjoy your break.

Kevin Choi

Have a good break... But Darn, really hoping it wasn't a clown chapter tonight. Haven't found a character in Rhir to root for.....

Anonymous

Thought clown chapters was done with last chapter :(

Technobread

Sad Texas girl didn’t meet clown:(

Anonymous

I'll admit it, I cried at the end. Then I cried again when I realized it will be 10 days before I can read your amazing story again.

Imran

Monologuing because you think you've already won? Flora should have told Silvenia to never start to monologue when you have the upper hand. It's a surefire way to lose it.

Atlas Dwarf

Nice try Death of Monologues but you will not take this from [Villains] just cause it's practical.

Caanbo

Omg this was really sad . Third time I cried reading this book. One thing I didn’t understand is if the Clown knows that the kingdom are the bad guys why is he fighting with them

Newguy Roy

At this point, there are no good guys or bad guys, just sides that hate each other because they've always hated each other and can't begin to imagine not hating each other.

Andrew

Thank you!

Ellija

I kind of hate this chapter the fact that this entire arc feels wasted. Nothing that happened matters. Feels like in a show when they introduce the new big bad and have to show just how badass they are so you get to watch a one sided beat down. It’s not compelling and makes the people who died look like clay soldiers set up just so we get an idea of how “powerful” a single deathless is.

Anonymous

Truly a beautiful end to a great arc

KDP

Great chapter. Not what I had expected, but great setup for the future.

Jack Trowell

Not only that but cirille joining the anti necro force was something I was glad to see 😢

Durzo

That was really good. We got a glimpse into what the older generation were capable of and damn. Usually as time progresses the newer generation overtakes the older generation but in inn-world the whole world regressed drastically. So when an old monster like her pops up... I’d say you’d need a hero in times like this but seeing our [Heroes]... *cough*

Osiris

Great chapter. Felt like the Earthers outside of Tom missed a huge opportunity. Dire situation, outnumbered, and facing a superior foe? Those are the situations where a [Hero] thrives! They did the sensible thing, but I won't be surprised if they lose the class.

Not sure where I was expecting this arc to go but I have to say it definitely wasn't this! Excited to see where this is going to lead to and how it will tie in with everything else. Have a restful break pirateaba, and thank you as always for your amazing work!

I cry for Cirille. She would have done so good in Salazsar, especially with her combination with merish. But alas plot armor can't always win huh?

Anonymous

Awesome chapter, really enjoy pirate's ability to write small day to day stuff and then switch over into massive epic type of engagements. However I wish the characters got a bit more development time before they were killed off. I just didn't feel the same type of connection to them as compared to Skinner deaths or Goblin deaths

Davis

Too bad you decided to kill the new characters you spent 75k words introducing. Very frustrating to read.

Davis

Arbitrarily killing new characters isn’t failed protection of plot armor, it’s using plot as a weapon

DThornz

At least it wasn't a TOTAL massacre, some actually managed to make it through.

DThornz

Ah so frustrating to lose Cirille most of all I think. Her class would have allowed for very interesting fighting dynamics if she had ended up joining Ilvriss. Now i'm suspicious of any new character you introduce in a side story. Their likelihood of surviving past the small mini-arc has dropped.

Parker Groseclose

I think that was part of the point. A lot of her side storied have gotten predictable. Now every character is fair game.

Deepak Kamlesh

Amazing chapter as always Pirate, thank you!

Kurt A

I agree, Cirille should have lived, but her living wouldn't have made sense for the scene. She was the last major commander at the wall, and obviously Sylvania was hunting commanders, and there was no reasonable way for Cirille to survive her attack when the others didn't.

Anonymous

whoa..what a chapter!!! stay safe on vacation relax and recharge

Christie

It wouldnt be reasonable, thats true. I hope her real message reaches Invriss at least.

Anonymous

Spoilers :c First thing I saw as I came to get the password

Rincewind314

People will talk about the chapter in the comments section of the chapter. Be very careful about looking down.

Christie

That is actually very bad, really sorry. I thought since on the comments this is no secret it wouldnt be a problem. But if it is the first thing you see, you have no option in that. I will delete it now

Anonymous

Holy hell that was intense. Thank you, pirate.

This is the kind of chapter that has me hooked. I cried and you showed me wrong. Last episode I was thinking about Crille as just a new person I don’t know or really care about. Slightly 2 dimensional. Then in this chapter you set me up to see such potential. I started to long for her and the rest hitting the walled cities. Then the final nail- that skill not only commanders but everyone that has lost someone dear longs for- and I was crying. For me this chapter was great. Totally motivating the arc. Beautifully showing the glory and meaningless of life. Behind every success story just as many that never was.

Beth Rasmussen

Damn it Flora. >< .... the ending -- this is worse than what you did to the dirty dozen. :(

Anonymous

Great chapter. I always thought of the demons as maybe just a misunderstood faction until they seeded the ground they took.

Jacob

( ; n ; )7 dam onion cutting ninjas. Amazing chapter and enjoy your break

Tom Seaton

Enjoyed all three 'C's, nice to have contrast despite so many other threads I'd love to see progress. Liked the depiction of the effects of perpetual total-war on Rhir's society; rampant paranoia, obsessive administration, villainous acts venerated for their efficiency. Hard to extrapolate from earth history what the consequences of conflict over those timescales could be (this got me reading up on the Hundred Years War). We haven't yet seen much of Rhir's rank and file, unlike the other continents, so seems like lots of scope to continue to explore that.

Jacob Cook

I was really best up over Cirille!!! Had to throw my phone down for 5 minutes when she passed just to calm down.
