Side Stories Spoilers - February 2020 (Patreon)
Content
Hi! As per usual, you can share these spoilers at your discretion, or lie like mad. Which begs the question...why have this be a reward for higher tiers? Is it a reward? I suppose the reward is the secret, and the power to do with it as you will.
But there's some kind of psychological dilemma where everyone has the power to reveal the truth, and thus strip the power derived from secrets from everyone else in doing so...
Anyways, to rest my hands for writing, I'm gonna make these spoilers short, but try to include one scene or thing to pique your interest!
[Strategists] at Sea - Wil Kalinad has a list of sunken treasures. And he has a crew of fellow classmates! But just who? And does he have a ship?
...Yes. Yes he does. And this is the start of an arc, so it might go longer than 1 chapter, or begin the arc and come back to it. Either way, we have [Pirates]. [Storm Captains]. You want wild swashbucking battles with Drowned People? You want to see the scourge of the seas that landfolk can barely dream of? A seasick Centauress and Dwarf? A Garuda [Martial Artist]-[Captain] hitting things? Vote for this.
The [Firefighters] - What happens when a [Firefighter] enters our world? Are [Firefighters] needed? Yes! But not in the way you think. When someone can conjure water with a wave of the hand, how badly is someone whose job and vocation is to leap into fires needed?
Badly. Because fire isn't a game. I'll have to study up for this chapter, but we will see fire at it's worst. Magical damn fire and one expert in a world of flammable objects trying to save lives. This would hopefully be a story exploring well, the sacrifice and heroism of some of Earth's best. Like Geneva's chapters at its best. Hopefully not anything less, but I'll be sweating this one.
Pop Songs for the Fallen - She sings. She dances. They call her the Queen of Pop, the Baroness of the Beat. And she's a [Thespian]. This is your introduction to a small view of Terandria, and one Earther we've heard about. She's not what you might think. And it comes amid a reception for the dead, featuring...a fallen Summer Knight. Among others. Need anything else to vote?
Recruiting Griffons - Two words. Griffon. Hunt. And they are going to Invrisil! You want to see Halrac and company looking for old teammates? You want to see Invrisil as people who know it interact with the City of Adventurers? You want to have Griffon Hunt meeting the Players of Celum? You vote here.
It's one of the more slice-of-life chapters, which shows one of our favorite teams navigating a city, and reveals how Griffon Hunt is seen outside of Liscor. Typhenous may also bribe street gangs in this chapter and run into some fellows with hats. He's got a history.
The Gentlemen Callers - Speaking of hats...have you ever wanted to see the criminal underworld? What about the Brothers of Serendipitous Meetings? Well, two of them have a job. Will they take it? What are they like?
Level 40+ [Criminals]. That is what. The kind who stroll in and tip their hats and rock the underground world. They don't just commit crime--they do it with style, pazazz, and a club to the back of the head. They're a famous duo and they have hats. We'll see what happens if the hats have to come off. Spoilers--that's not a good thing.
That Damn Lizard [Architect] - He's going to design Liscor. He's actually a Lamia. And he's coming to the city. Drakes have a thing with Lizardfolk, but what will this visitor from Baleros be like? You like architecture? The Council? Erin?
Well, Erin isn't the focus of this chapter, but an [Architect] is. And he has ideas to make a city more than a bit magical. There will be a lot of building in this chapter, perhaps some racism, and a lot of hijinks. Even on the periphery, it is Liscor and the inn.
PS: Also features one rich Drake [Heiress].
Goblinhome and Angry Wyverns - He's back! Our favorite Wyvern has had a bad few days. And he's going home, with a hurt pride, a much smaller Weyr, and it's a Monday.
I'm lying about the Monday bit, but the Wyverns are going to meet some green-skinned folk who've been carving a piece for themselves in the High Passes. And yes--this will be mostly about the Goblins! About Rags, about the fragments of each tribe making something new.
And [Wyvern Riders]. Get hype! Vote for Goblins! Or have we had too many? But these are different Goblins! And what do Wyverns taste like, anyways? How do you fight them if you don't have an entire Walled City on your side?
