This is why Pirate is one of my two favorite writers. The other is Brandon Sanderson. Wait a sec. Both write fantasy, feature creative world building and write abnormally fast... Hmm....

Historically, I think, level ups come at the end of the chapter when they are the emotional conclusion (they are satisfying), but at the beginning when they are going to form part of the plot of the next arch.
