Hello everyone, welcome to the second story poll! As mentioned yesterday, with Fool’s World going on hiatus, this poll will determine which fic will be replacing it. This is the synopsis for your four choices, but each has an introductory chapter available below. Or below. I have no idea how Patreon is going to format this.

The choices are:

Gacha God (MCU): This story features probably the most Chaotic Neutral character I’ve ever written -- Sebastian Galahad Stillwater. Sebastian was never a normal teenager, but some months ago, his life got noticeably weirder when windows started appearing before him almost at random, prompting him to roll for prizes that were powerful magical artifacts or incredible technological wonders. A Time-Turner that allows him to fiddle with the fabric of time and space, a Golden Scarab that allows him to open the Cave of Wonders, and a pair of roller skates that let him take to the skies are just the first of the prizes that he’s claimed.

All just in time for an alien invasion with ground zero being New York City. He’s always lived his life with a simple philosophy -- to do whatever he wants to do and, fortunately for the Avengers and New York City, Sebastian wants to kick some alien ass. After the invasion, as he gains more and more powerful items, Sebastian becomes increasingly equipped to take on the entire world. A very dangerous combination with his absolute willingness to.

This story features a gacha system. The item rolls will be a list of twenty items, each one from a different setting. From the Death Note, to Gundams, to Devil Fruits -- I and my editors have compiled a rather comprehensive list of unique items from across fiction and fandoms that can be found Here. The list is still expanding, so if you have any suggestions, then they are more than welcome. Each roll is completely straight -- I will roll a D20 and whatever it lands on will be the item that is given. No ifs, no buts, not even if there is some way cooler stuff I could have gotten because that is the true gacha experience.

Each roll will be given roughly every 20k words, or for narrative milestones like ending an arc. I figured that would be enough time for each item to settle in.

And, as a general heads up, I will be fiddling with the MCU timeline and including things from the comics to flesh things out a bit. The most obvious example as seen in the first chapter is that Peter Parker is in highschool as of the time of the Chitauri invasion. Other things will be stuff like the X-men appear rather than the Inhumans, and I will be borrowing from supplementary materials like the Netflix Marvel shows and Agents of Shield.

Watching them would probably help, but I would say it's in no way necessary.

Boys Night Out (WC/The Boys): The young man that would take the name Trafalgar Law grew up in the world of the Boys, constantly assaulted by advertisements and propaganda and lies pumped out by Vought International. It wore him down, ground him into dust, leaving him disenfranchised and cynical. An early grave would have awaited him if it wasn’t for the chance of a lifetime -- to be chosen by the Company and given full access to the Catalogue along with all the power that it offered.

With it, he gained a new lease on life and decided to brush off an old dream of his. Homelander was the dominating figure in the world, more American than apple pie and baseball, and the single most powerful being on the planet. Everyone had wanted to be him growing up. Not Law. What he desired was the exact opposite.

He wanted to be the world's first super villain and the one to bring down Homelander.

This is a slightly altered take on the WC. I will be bending some rules -- such as while Law knows that he used the Waifu Catalogue, his memory of his choices were deliberately wiped from his mind on account that he picked no binding options. Meaning that his picks are out in the world, doing their own thing, and Law will have to stumble across them or lead them to him.

This story will also be a Jumpchain. There will be a good 20-30 chapters in the Boys before moving on to another setting. The settings will be decided by what would interest Law -- with his new lease on life, when someone says the word dangerous, he hears the word fun and he’s drunk on the possibilities that have opened up before him.

All Because I’m Evil~ (Arcane): The story of a genetic transhumanist deciding that the multiverse is his oyster and he’s just going to crack it wide open. Starting in the setting of Arcane, under the guise of Elix, he’s a ruthless ganglord at the head of the Goonies, the only gang willing to stand up to Silco for all the right reasons. As Alexander Heller, he’s a young, suave, heartbreaker worming his way into high society with liberal use of brainwashing to help things along.

As himself, he’s a hedonist that cares only about gaining power and amusing himself with the people that surround him. Often at their expense.

About the story -- Elix is about as morally black a character as I've ever written. He is a grade-A asshole. When I was originally drafting the story, the idea was to make a character that could make something like the Company for the Waifu Catalogue, or the Sex Arcade. So, a real smarmy piece of shit. I’m going to be very upfront about that.

But, as much as he stacks the deck in his favor, he can only enjoy himself if there are stakes. And all he really cares about is enjoying himself. When he gaslights and manipulates people, he gives them avenues of attack. He’s perfectly happy taking an L because, no matter what, he will get what he wants. All the while, he searches for genetic anomalies and abilities to incorporate into himself to become the perfect being.

It’s a jumpchain story. The first twenty or so chapters will be spent in Arcane with it becoming the hub world. From there, there will be a mix of one-off chapters where he visits a setting for a specific item or waifu, then there will be longer jumps where Elix stops and fucks with the setting in various ways. Like, for example, releasing the Grimm from RWBY into the setting of Asoiaf while introducing himself as the only solution to the problem.

A big thing to note -- Elix does use mind control as an offensive tool. He would use it to break a waifu that he doesn’t want to spend the time seducing. For example, Jinx and Vi are the girls being seduced in the Arcane jump, while girls like Caitlyn or Mel would be stamped. Not into mindless sex slaves, but people he would break down. It’s a limitation and challenge that he finds fun.

Domain Expansion: Battle Royale (Waifu Catalogue/DC Comics): This story could be considered a true rewrite of Be a Dragon. See No Evil was meant to be a rewrite originally, but it became a thing of its own pretty early on. Domain Expansion follows an isekai that wakes up in the middle of a satanic ritual, gets the fuck out of there, and later realizes that he’s been inserted as Sukuna Ryomen with all of his powers. The ones that he knows about and the ones that he doesn’t.

A simple isekai is radically changed by something of my own invention. I liked the idea of the battles against other contractors in the Waifu Catalogue, but I didn’t really care for the idea of including some OC that served no other purpose than to deliver waifus and points to the main character. So, I got to thinking and decided that a Waifu filling that role would feel better and I had an idea.

The Waifu Catalogue: Battle Royale. Because there aren’t enough battle royales in the world.

Unknown to the MC, he has been caught up in a battle royale between ten different teams of waifus. Each with their own motivations, desires, and plans. All equally unaware of each other and the fight that will rage between them. It’s not just a battle for supremacy, but a battle of seduction.

The rules are very simple -- each contractor’s ultimate goal is to either kill or seduce every member of their enemy's harem along with the enemy contractor herself. All characters are only aware of their original settings, nor are the contractors aware of their selections prior to the battle royale. Waifus of the chosen setting are available to be claimed and once certain checkpoints have been met, additional choices from the Waifu Catalogue will become available.

The teams range from lawful good to chaotic evil, some will be heroes and others will be the most sinister of villains. The MC himself leans more towards Chaotic Good and it follows him as his desire to do some good is becoming increasingly complicated by a rapidly intertangled web of relationships between heroes and villains while he unwittingly fights to claim the prize of the battle royale -- a Tier 11 ticket.

Air Gear. Air Gear got me.

Gacha God looks cool and I dont like Waifu Catalogue stuff.

Sithis

Personally i’d prefer marvel comics or at least a combination of it and the MCU.

Kraxus

Gotta admit; While the other prompts are pretty cool, I am just ... not down for Waifu Catalogue anything. It just feels so unrealistic; Which is a shame, because I really enjoyed Boy's Night Out. Arcane was a good prompt, but the character was a bit too dark for me personally.

Checos

I picked Gacha God because it was the only one that wasn’t Jumpchain or Waifu Catalogue. See No Evil was my favorite story, and it got better when it dropped the Waifu element. And I want to explore this world and see how our protagonist changes things, not jump ship to a new world just when things are getting good.

Gacha God FTW

Kabir Kumar

The guy from Gacha God seems like a bit of a cynical asshole

Sempai

I mean gacha God is kinda interesting but I just love the good villian storys because theire so rare and it's just something new and not overused that much

Dust

These all sound pretty interesting. Though I wonder: are the bio powers in "All because I'm evil" inspired by the game Prototype? Because with names like Alex and Heller I'm having flashbacks to 2009.
