There has been a few changes to chapter 9. Neo nearly drowns Adonis in lube rather than shoving anything in him, which slightly changed the interaction with the teen titans. Nothing too much, only Neo stealing the money is the reason for conflict.

...

This was a date. I was almost completely certain of it. If it was some kind of emergency or urgent revelation about the origin of my powers, then she would have left more than one text, or set up the meeting someplace other than an admittedly good coffee shop. All the signs pointed to this being a date. Except for two things.

Raven didn’t call it a date and the reason she wanted to meet up. The coffee shop could be neutral ground that we both knew. That alone was reason enough to temper my excitement as I dressed myself into a set of nicer clothes. So, no matter how certain I was it was a date, if I went in treating it like one then I was going to make myself look like an idiot. I had to approach it casually, read the room, and follow her lead on if this was a date or not.

We hit it off pretty well last night. Well enough that this could be a date...or, maybe she just wanted to be friends. Raven, despite her popularity in porn, was a rarely used character. She had minor roles at best in major storylines if she got mentioned at all. Outside of that, she was the gothic quiet girl, to my knowledge. So, maybe this was just her reaching out to someone that she wanted to be friends with?

I knew she couldn’t read my mind, for some reason, so that could have something to do with it. Being an empath sounded great on paper, but in use, it sounded like hell. Constantly being aware of how people felt about you? From enjoying your presence to being annoyed even when they were smiling at you? That sounded like hell. Ignorance was bliss for a reason, after all.

“In that case...I could use a girl friend,” I spoke to my reflection as I checked out my threads. Dark gray long sleeve with the sleeves pushed up, charcoal black pants and a nice pair of loafers. After a moment of thought, I slipped on my sunglasses as well to cover up my eyes -- metahumans were a thing, but I couldn't recall if discrimination against them had ever reached X-Men levels of bad. It seemed a pointless thing to risk given that all it took was a pair of sunglasses to avoid it.

It would be a flat out lie to say that I didn’t want things to move beyond that, but it was hardly like getting laid was my only motivation. And it wasn’t like I wasn’t getting laid on the regular either -- I’ve busted more nuts in the past two days than I had in months. So, if she drew a line in the sand and said she didn’t want us to go past it, then I would respect it.

“Let’s go get some answers,” I told my reflection before walking out of the bathroom. Hinata and Neo were already gone, which...yeah, good luck Hinata. You’re going to need it. After locking up, I hopped into a car, eying the broken wreckage of my first car with a forlorn eye. Well, calling it wreckage was a bit much -- the windshield was cracked, the body was dented, and the paint was scuffed, but it was hardly undrivable.

I paused on my way getting in, looking at the muscle car for a long moment before I stepped out of the car I was getting in. An idea lurked in the back of my head, mulling it over as I summoned upon the black flame of darkness, the small flame appearing above my open palm.

If I could destroy the wound that would have killed Hinata...did that mean I could destroy damage to my car?

Only one way to find out, I guess. Without further ado, I pushed the dark flame out towards the car. It washed out over the hood of the car like water, spreading outwards. Scratches and dents disappeared as the flames washed over them. However, I noticed something immediately with the windshield. The cracks smoothed over, but there was still a gaping hole in it, the last trace of the damage that the car had suffered.

I frowned in thought for a moment, the difference between the body of the car and the hole jumping out at me. The flames needed something to work with. It couldn’t fix broken glass that wasn’t there, but it could mend the cracks...huh. I wonder what would have happened if I had all the pieces of glass in the car when I tried to fix it?

A question for another time. With the car still out of commission, I hopped into another one and pulled out of the garage. After making the drive a couple of times, it was starting to feel familiar as I pulled into the city, spotting Melvin as I pulled up to the parking garage. Our eyes met as I pulled up, his eyebrows shooting up, his expression faintly nervous.

“Am I about to lose my money?” He asked with a grin that only looked a little fake. I just let out a small laugh as I handed over twice over what I had already given him. That made his slightly fake grin become a full blow smile. “You liked the place?”

“Yeah, I’m heading there now,” I informed as I handed over the money. “Great place and I have about a dozen different series I’m working through now. Thanks for pointing it out, never would have found it otherwise.”

Melvin let out a joyous laugh of a man that just received a stupidly big tip. It felt good knowing that I created that joy by handing over a few hundred bills. Back when I was a wage slave, I was convinced that I would never part with a single penny more than I had to if I ever became a million air, but that didn’t seem to be the case.

“That’s what I was hoping to hear! Glad you liked it, and I know of a couple of other places if you’re interested. But,” he seemed to hesitate as if he was asking himself if he wanted to continue. “Would you mind telling me what you do, man? The three times I’ve seen you, you’ve rolled up in a Shelbey, a Lamborghini, and now you’re in a Bugatti.” He asked, and I recognized one of those brand names.

I actually was prepared for this question because I really didn’t want to explain I fucked a rich girl once and she let me go nuts with millions of dollars. “I own a company -- Dragonfly Express,” I explained, even though I hadn’t actually started the company yet. I mean, I did reserve the domain name, but that was it.

Melvin shifted, “I mean...it’s not one of those companies that try to punch out superheroes, right?” He asked, sounding like how much he liked me was decided by how I answered that question.

"Oh, god no," I shook my head. I don't even know how people like Luthor managed to retain their companies beyond 'status quo.' Bruce Wayne as well, for that matter. "We do investments for the most part. And catering," I added, lying through my teeth. I still intended to do both of those things...and who was Melvin going to tell?

Melvin looked relieved, proving that he wasn't one of those ungrateful idiots that hated superheroes even though they were paragons of virtue. Well, maybe not entirely, but more so than me because I would start chunking fools into the sun if they had the gall to get pissy with me after I saved them.

"That's good to hear," Melvin said with a smile and a nod, "you said Dragonfly Express? Are you the son of the CEO, or something?" He asked, fishing for information. I recognized it for what it was -- Melvin looked at me and saw an opportunity. I didn't know his story, but given that he looked to be in his late twenties to early thirties, I'm guessing that he didn't want to be a toll taker at this point in life. Especially when things were becoming more automated.

"I'm the CEO," I corrected, and those three words felt great to say. I flashed a grin, letting that serve as my goodbye as Melvin raised the bar. I pulled in, I parked in my usual spot on the third-highest level and got out.

After checking my appearance in the mirror, I got out and started walking to where I was meeting Raven. And, with my phone, I made a job posting on a job search website for a website designer for my company that I hadn't officially created yet. Even if Melvin didn't tell anyone that I was full of shit when he googled my make-believe company and found that it didn't exist, I didn't want him to think I was full of shit. He seemed like a decent guy and I didn't want to wreck his image of me.

With the job posting up that promised a sizable paycheck, I walked up the steps to the coffee shop around fifteen minutes before Raven agreed to meet me. I took a seat, ignoring my urge to grab a cup of coffee -- even if this wasn't a date, you don't order before the other person you're going on a maybe-not date with.

I tried to not look too eager when the door opened, announcing another person's entrance with a ding of a bell. Raven walked into the coffee shop -- she was dressed differently than last night.

She wore a short cut leather jacket that stopped around her ribs, a corset covering her torso that was a dark blue that showed off a hint of cleavage while her hands were covered by fingerless gloves. A dark skirt left a fair amount of her thighs exposed as she sat down in a dark red chair, a pair of gray boots going all the way up to her knees. So, she got dressed up, but nothing overly formal so I wasn't under or overdressed. Perfect.

"Yo," I greeted her with a wave, cringing a bit inside because she could already see me. I heard the barista laugh, and I could only hope that she wasn't laughing at me. Raven smiled a fraction, returning the wave as she walked towards me, taking a seat in the same chair as last night.

"Hey," she returned, settling in as she crossed her legs. My smile grew a fraction -- she seemed relaxed, so at the very least, she wasn’t delivering bad news regarding my powers. Because, for all I knew, I could be hooked up to the negative dimensions and at any moment my soul was going to be plucked from my body to be tortured for eternity. It said a lot that was an actual concern in this setting.

“So, I’m two books into the series that you recommended,” I admitted, striking up a conversation after a small lapse. Raven blinked, raising an eyebrow at that.

“Already?” She questioned, looking faintly amused. “Do you not sleep?” She asked, and that was a fair question. The books she recommended were hefty, closer to a thousand pages than not. However, that was a nice segway into the reason she wanted to meet if this wasn’t a date.

“I don’t, actually,” I informed her with a small shrug. Raven looked surprised for a moment, prompting me to continue. “I found out last night. I’ve been up for over a day now, and I feel fine. No tiredness at all, and unless I’m still working through the caffeine from last night, I haven’t had any coffee in about twelve hours or so. So, I don’t think I need to sleep.”

Raven seemed to mull this over, her gaze raking over me with a much more analytical gaze, thinking that revelation over. The next few seconds were tense if only because I had no idea what that meant. "Can you still or do you just not feel the need?" She questioned after a moment, making me shrug my shoulders.

"I don't feel a need? I was able to sleep after the accident, but I haven't felt tired at all," I explained, making Raven nod as her expression became more and more serious.

"Given what I learned, that isn't surprising," Raven admitted. My gaze snapped to hers, a long moment passing before she spoke again. "You're the dragon that killed Psimon," she stated. There wasn't an accusation in her voice and that was the only reason my brain didn't shift into flight mode to get the hell away from her before she threw me into jail.

Instead, every muscle went painfully tense, my brain trying to race but it crashed to a grinding halt. She knew. She was just looking for me to confirm it. And lying would only hurt me.

I gave a painfully slow stiff nod, confirming it, excuses jumping off my tongue, only to be swallowed back. "I am," I admitted, carefully gauging her reaction. Given that she wasn't pulling out handcuffs and slapping them on me, that was a really good sign.

Raven nodded, expecting to hear that. She plucked at the hem of her skirt as she considered the admission of guilt. This...was really bad, wasn't it? I murdered someone. I killed that family -- I didn't know if those charges went to Mammoth or me, but even if I hadn't meant to, they still died because of me.

"Why?" Raven asked, her tone carefully neutral to not betray her thoughts.

"I...landed on a family when we were fighting. Mammoth kicked me in the face and I went flying. I landed on a convertible...and...a kid…" I trailed off, daring to steal a glance at Raven. Surprisingly, her eyes were filled with pity. I couldn't meet her gaze for more than a second before I looked away. "And they laughed about it. I was freaking out, and they were laughing. I just...I don't know what came over me, but I grabbed Mammoth and threw him at Psimon. He tried to kill me earlier with a mental attack, but I'm guessing whatever stood you from reading my emotions stopped him."

Raven mulled that over, and a few seconds never seemed so long before. "Okay," she stated simply, that single word stunning me. I was expecting to be read my rights, but instead, I got an okay? My bewilderment must have shown because she continued. "I'm sorry you had to go through that...but I understand why you did it. Emotions are...messy and you weren't trained to handle that situation."

I...what? Where was the judging me for breaking the number one rule of no killing?

"I'm...are you going to take me to prison?" I asked, fearing the answer.

"...No," Raven seemed to consider it briefly but decided against it. "Unless you intend to do something like it again…?" She let the question hand in the air and I nearly gave myself whiplash from shaking my head so hard. "Then I won't. Everyone deserves second chances. You tried to stop the Fearsome Five from killing anyone -- you tried to be a hero. It's awful that people died, but I'm certain that more would have if you hadn't distracted them until the rest of my team realized what was happening."

Her gaze lingered on me, a hand drifting up to take hold of my sunglasses. Raven pulled them away, blinking as she stared into my eyes. "If people like Ravager and Terra...and me deserve second chances, then so do you," she finished, folding my glasses with a hint of magic before she hung them in my V-neck collar. "So you don't have anything to worry about but, at the very least, you need to learn how to control your magic when something like this happens again."

At that, I hesitated. Relief flooded me -- she wasn't taking me to jail. I was getting a second chance. Yet, the last part of that sentence concerned me. I could all too easily recall that moment I realized I landed on someone, and then how I let that armored car pass me by without doing anything.

“I don’t think I’m cut out for being a hero, or anything,” I admitted to myself and Raven. “It’s not that I’m scared...honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever really been scared of getting injured or even dying...but...my screwups getting someone else killed...that scares the hell out of me,” I told her. Because, in the end, that was the scary thing. I was a dragon, and even if I died, I could just as easily find myself in a new world as it being the end of me.

My mistakes costing other people their lives was scary. Those stakes were just too high for me.

“This lifestyle isn’t for everyone,” Raven agreed, her tone filled with quiet resignation and that made warning flags rise high. “So I won’t pressure you to become a hero, but your magic...it’s too powerful. When people figure out what it is, a target is going to be placed on your back, and you need to be able to defend yourself.”

I shifted in my chair, the air becoming tense as we spoke in low tones. “You know what it is?” I questioned. How she spoke of it was making me nervous. My magic certainly seemed powerful, but I really didn’t like the idea that people were going to come after me. Especially when I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to win those fights.

Raven nodded gravely, “I was already looking into the white flames that your dragon form produced, and when I searched for the black flames, I realized that they were different sides of the same coin. And there is only one thing that your magic could possibly be.” Raven made a hand gesture, a field of magic spreading out and I felt a tingly sensation wash over me.

“Your magic is the Flame of Creation,” Raven stated with a hint of grandeur only for her expression to flatten as she looked at me.

I think it must have shown that I had no idea what that meant because Raven looked like she was making a valiant effort to not roll her eyes so hard they fell out of her head.

“There are countless types of magic in existence, but few are as powerful as magic that are the embodiments of something. Chaos, Order, or emotions like love and hate. Your magic is one of those few. It’s a direction connection to the force that created...everything. Everything in the multiverse, the Flame of Creation is the origin of it all. It wouldn’t be incorrect to say that the Flame of Creation is the origin of magic itself.”

“Oh…” I trailed off, the realization settling heavily on me. Raven nodded, satisfied that I was starting to understand.

“One half of your magic would be considerably powerful. Have you tried to create anything with the white flames?” Raven asked, breaking me out of my stupor.

“Uh, yeah, I have. I haven’t messed with it too much, but I found out that I could make food and change the texture and color of it,” I explained. My eyebrows drew together in thought, “but when I tried to make a clicker- uh, that thing that unlocks your car,” I corrected myself, “but it didn’t work. I think I need to understand what I’m making for it to work.”

“It’s good that you’ve found that limitation early. Once you understand the intricacies of objects, then theoretically, you can create anything with the white flames,” Raven continued, her tone holding a note of excitement in it. “And with the black -- they represent the eventual destruction of all things that are created. From what you’ve told me, it goes beyond destroying mere physical aspects, but can destroy conceptual aspects as well-”  Raven seemed to realize that she hadn’t breathed, an air of quiet enjoyment hovering around her.

“My magic is that strong?” I said more to myself than to Raven. I really hit every checkbox for a generic isekai protagonist, didn’t I? I had the over powered ability and everything.

“It is. I wish I could promise you that no one will ever realize and you can live your life as you have, but I can’t. Things like this always come to light. At the very least, you need to learn how to protect yourself because when someone figures out what your magic is fueled by, they will stop at nothing to capture you.” Raven told me, her tone grim.

I nodded, my hands curling up into fists as I digested that information. I wanted to be a hero- no, I wanted to hang out with heroes, who were some of my favorite characters. I wanted to fight by their side because it would be cool and a fantasy come true. Only now, a very ugly reality tainted the fantasy. The danger of it all, the stakes, and one mistake could get someone killed. I wasn’t ready for that. I was just a stupid kid, there was no way I was ready to be responsible for other peoples lives.

But...maybe...maybe that was why Hinata was here? And Neo? Was my power somehow drawing them to me so I would have people to protect me? Or...I had a chakra system. Maybe Neo would be able to activate my aura as well? Maybe they weren’t just here to protect me, but to give me the tools to protect myself?

Which would make them being here my fault.

“I’ll teach you,” Raven said, reaching out to gently rest a hand on my clenched fist. Her hands were surprisingly soft. “Just because the worst scenario can happen doesn't mean that it will. If we start immediately, we can learn how to hide your presence and that will give us time.”

I nodded my head, gathered myself up and pushed my fears and anxieties away with well practiced ease. “Okay,” I said, wrapping my head around the situation.

“How do we start?” I asked, turning to Raven to see that her lips curled upwards into a small but approving smile.

“We start by finding out how your magic works exactly-” Raven started, only to be cut off when her phone went off. At the same exact moment that my phone went off. We glanced at each other and that seemed to be a signal to check our phones. Pulling mine out of my pocket, I read the screen.

There was an incident in the city with Neo. Please return as quickly.

That didn’t sound good. It wasn’t exactly unsurprising, but I really didn’t like how Raven and I got messages at the same exact time. Stealing a glance at her, I saw her expression was deadly serious. She looked up at me, “I have to go. There’s been an emergency,” she offered as an explanation.

“Go. I have your number. We can meet up when things calm down, yeah?” I asked, earning a ghost of a smile from Raven.

“Of course...and next time, don’t bring those glasses. You look better without them,” Raven said before she disappeared into the floor. I looked at where she vanished, mulling over all that I had learned. I kind of wanted to pull out the flames, just to look at them, but I knew better than that. Especially when Raven mentioned there was a possibility that someone would want to capture me for my magic.

Still, my magic was the Flame of Creation. I guess it was a smart move picking out a pretentious name. If I stuck with my old name, it would have sounded really dumb attached to something like the Flame of Creation.

I quickly sent Hinata a text back telling her that I was on my way. Despite wanting some coffee, I didn’t grab any. I tried to look casual as I made my way back to my car, waving at Melvin as I left, before I sped back towards the house. There was more than a little traffic getting out of the city -- I saw cop cars blocking off an area and the sound of sirens. Not to mention there were sirens from other cop cars that were chasing down another car.

I hadn’t looked up the statistics, but it felt like every time I went out, something was going on in this city. From supervillains attacking, to robberies to high speed chases to common robberies. I would expect it in a place like Gotham, but this was crazy. I thought in a world of superheroes, that everything would be a lot more peaceful and the villains that plagued the world were the outliers.

Pulling up, I quickly got out of the car and rushed up the stairs, pushing open the door to reveal…

Neo brandishing a dildo that made horse cocks look small as she stood across from Hinata, who was settled in her gentle fist stance, her Byakugan activated. Despite the comical sight, the tension was thick enough to cut as both of them stared at the other, waiting for the first move of the fight. Neo wore an eatshit grin, but there was a dangerous glint in her eye.

Tossed about on the floor were dozens of sex toys -- dildos, wands, whips, anal beads and so on. Mixed in with them were clothes, shoes, accessories and...money? A duffle bag was turned over, spilling the contents and bundles spilled out. Whatsmore, I saw several other duffel bags scattered about. If they all had the same amount...after doing some mental math, I deduced that there was at least six metric fuck loads of cash scattered about.

“Did one of you rob a bank?” I felt compelled to ask, stepping inside and breaking the stalemate between them. Neo glanced at me while Hinata twitched, looking like she was visibly restraining herself from launching an attack at the multicolored girl.

“We did not,” Hinata answered, still in her gentle fist stance. “A man known as Atlas robbed a bank, and Neo saw fit to steal from him. Despite how we were trying to maintain a low profile and put us in direct conflict with the Teen Titans.” If I hadn’t been with Raven, then that would have scared the absolute hell out of me. And, oddly enough, Hinata sounded more angry with the latter half than the first.

I nodded, having expected as much if they had called Raven as backup. “Were you followed?” I asked, making Neo tilt her head, her eatshit grin growing a fraction as Hinata answered.

“Unlikely. We were henged to hide our true appearances, and I saw no one attempting to follow us,” She said and all of a sudden, being able to see for miles sounded incredibly overpowered. “But Neo has refused to admit fault and I cannot convince her to take responsibility for her actions.”

I looked between them for a moment, realizing that there was no way Hinata was going to be able to make Neo listen. It was incredibly unlikely that Hinata actually yelled at Neo. I’m betting she went with the ‘I’m not mad, just disappointed’ approach which wouldn’t work on Neo. Mostly because I’m certain that she couldn’t care less if she disappointed Hinata.

Neo stuck her tongue out at Hinata, making the demure girl frown in response to the immature taunt.

“Alright, how about we start from the beginning?” I said, closing the door behind me as I went about making coffee. I grabbed three mugs as Hinata launched into a detailed explanation, choosing to start at the very beginning of their shopping trip. As I made myself a cup of coffee, listening intently, I started on Hinata’s tea. Then I held up the coffee and tea for Neo to pick which one she wanted.

Neo looked far too amused for her own good as she picked the coffee then made a sign appear with a literal mountain of sugar displayed on the front.

Hinata continued, and I only interrupted when I heard what she was trying to do with that massive dildo. I turned to Neo, who now radiated smugness and I severely underestimated how big of a handful she was going to be.

“Why?” I questioned as I placed a mug in front of her, pouring sugar into the cup and waiting for her to gesture for me to stop.

The sign shifted into an emoji of a face crying with laughter. Not sure what else I was expecting. And it was only after I put way, way, way too much sugar into the coffee that Neo gestured for me to stop.

“Look, Neo, I doubt that you give a shit if I get on your case about what you can and can’t do. So I’m not going to bother with that,” I said, making Hinata stiffen while Neo grinned. “But if you want to stay, then you can’t do stuff like that. Did you know that there are actual gods walking the planet right now? As in reality is their bitch and they can do whatever they want to it?”

At that, Neo’s smug expression lost its edge. Her eyes narrowed a fraction, as if to determine if I were lying or not. So, I continued. “There are people that can punch with the force of a million exploding stars. Magic is a thing and they can teleport you to the sun in the blink of an eye. The heroes that you fought? They could kill tens of thousands if they felt like it, but they don’t. We are not in a position to do whatever the hell that we want.”

I took a small breath before continuing, “I’m not going to stop you from doing dumb shit if you really want to, but I’m not intrested in getting dragged into your mess when it does blow up in your face. You can take the money you brought and we can part ways here. And that’ll be the end of it.” An ultimatum that would be a win either way for us.

Either she stopped trying to shove things into people, or chose to walk out the door then the problem would be solved.

Neo tilted her head back and forth, tapping her chin with her pointer finger as if she were thinking about it extremely hard. I knew she came to a decision when her smile grew to dangerous levels. The images on her sign changed as she took a giant swig of her coffee, emptying it in one go.

A stick figure holding a belt and a question mark.

I looked at Neo to see that her grin hadn’t fallen in the slightest. “Are you asking if I’m going to punish you if you stay?” I asked, making her shake her head. I glanced at Hinata, who looked at Neo for a moment before her eyes narrowed into slits, her lips thinning. Yeah, I don’t think they got along very well.

Neo made a show of bending over on the couch, sticking her ass out to us before she spanked herself. Now I realized what she was trying to convey.

Do I want to punish her?

Given that she cut my not-date short with Raven, the answer was absolutely. On the other hand, it was easy to see what Neo was doing. A master of women, I was not, but I could read the room. Neo was taunting Hinata and she was trying to use me to do it. We weren’t in a relationship or anything, but there was some common decency to not, you know, spank another woman in front of the girl you’ve been sleeping with.

Hinata caught my glance, looking at me for a moment before she quickly looked away. “Neo should be punished for what she has done...and...you do not owe me anything, Nero.” She pointed out, her words and expression clashing heavily. “I know that this is just fun between us,” she added, throwing my words from earlier today back into my face.

“Just because we’re not in a relationship doesn't mean you can’t like the idea of me fooling around with another woman,” I pointed out. “And I don’t want to hurt you by pretending that you don’t have feelings, especially when Neo is trying to push your buttons like this.” I said, making Neo throw on a painfully faked expression of ‘who, me?’ “So, if you really don’t like the idea or it makes you uncomfortable, then tell me.”

She shifted in her seat, grasping the cup of tea in her hands for a long moment before she answered. “It doesn't make me uncomfortable,” Hinata said, throwing on her best poker face and it was utterly impossible to tell if she meant it or not. But, all things considered, I’d be willing to bet my shit ton of cash that wasn’t the case.

How did I say this to her? Being blunt was probably the best way to do it. “Hinata, I know we’re not in a relationship. I agree with the decision. I’m the rebound guy, but I don’t want you to feel...like I don’t give a crap about you. So, instead of saying that it’s just casual fun earlier, I should have said that we’re friends with benefits. Emphasis on the friends part,” I explained, earning a stunned look from Hinata.

Then her expression eased into a gentle smile. “I’m glad,” she admitted, the tension melting from her shoulders. Thankfully she didn’t have her Byakugan activated so she couldn’t see Neo acting like she was throwing up behind her. Though, judging by how her smile grew a fraction, I’m guessing that she likely knew anyway. “And...I...would not mind...staying and watching?” Hinata pushed out with some hesitation.

A grin found itself onto my face, “that sounds good to you Neo?” I asked, turning to the woman. Since this was an attempt to...NTR Hinata, I’m guessing, and that didn’t pan out for her, she might call it off altogether since she wasn’t getting what she wanted out of it.

Neo’s eye changed color, switching as she seemed to think about it. She answered by seductively undoing the button to her pants, slowly unzipping them as she made a show of showing off her shapely ass, barely concealed by a piece of string that had audacity to call itself underwear. She looked over her shoulder as she grabbed on cheek, spreading herself.

Hinata eeped, swaying dangerously, but remained standing. I moved around the counter, very aware of Hinata's gaze on my back as I gazed into Neo's. Mischief danced in them, laughing at a joke that only she knew. She shook her butt invitingly, her lips curling into a smile as I neared.

"You have been naughty, Neo. And I do think you deserve a spanking," I said, grabbing her wrists and pinning them to the couch. I was tempted to bend her over my knee, but I didn't want to push my luck. I doubt I would win a fight against her, and the only way to find out was no way to find out. My free hand dipped to her ass, feeling the soft flesh under my palm. "What do you think is a fair amount, Hinata?"

Hinata seemed caught off guard at being addressed but she recovered quickly. Her opaque eyes drifted over to Neo uncertainty before her gaze hardened. "Given what she did...I believe...twenty-five is fair," Hinata said and I had to fight off an amused huff. Hinata was more vicious than I thought and an anxious expression passed over Neo's face, likely anticipating a much more manageable number.

"Do you hear that Neo? Sounds like you've been very naughty," I said, caressing her soon to be abused ass cheek. "Are you ready?" I asked, giving her ass a light squeeze before I readied my hand. Neo met my gaze challengingly, too stubborn to back down. Good.

"One," I started, bringing my hand down on her ass. I knew about her aura, so I swung down hard. Neo jerked as my hand landed, soft flesh rippling for a moment before the pale flesh began to glow a cherry red. She looked up at me, alarmed, her eyes narrowing dangerously as I simply smiled in response. "Two," I said, bringing my hand down on her other ass cheek.

Slowly, her ass grew more and more red with each seat of my hand. Her hips began to twitch, anticipating the blows. "Ten," I said, smacking her ass. She hadn't even tried to break free, and given that she was incapable of giving me a safe word, I was relying on that to make sure I didn't go too far.

A glance at Hinata proved that she was more embarrassed by this than she had let on. Her hands covered her face, but I saw that she was peeking through her fingers. Her face was red enough that a tomato would turn green with envy. It was cute, but I was more relieved that her talk that she wouldn’t be uncomfortable wasn’t just talk.

As the spanking continued, the twitching became worse. She flinched with every blow, lessening the impact, and I took that as a sign to tone down my swats. "Twenty," I counted, raising my hand and delivering a twenty-first. My hand was starting to hurt, so I couldn't imagine how her poor ass must feel.

"Twenty-three," I continued, giving Neo a few seconds to recover after her legs buckled for a moment. Her butt was a dark red, but I doubt she would have any bruising outside of some tenderness. "Twenty-four...twenty-five!" I said, delivering the final smack. As soon as I did, Neo wasted no time escaping my grip, crawling over the arm of the couch as she cupped her ass protectively.

"I'm sorry I had to do that," I said, walking over. A hand went to her ass, which she blocked from me touching for a moment before she removed her hand to let me massage the pain out of her ass. She turned her head to glare at me, though it came off more of a pout.

"Nero," Hinata spoke up for the first time, walking over. She looked down at Neo before she reached out, pointing to bring my attention to the wetness that had soaked through Neo's thong. "I'm not sure if Neo's been punished at all. Can it truly be called a punishment if she enjoyed it so much?" Hinata questioned, making Neo go still. She shifted, looking up at Hinata for a long moment.

The look in her eyes could only be described as dangerous -- like a naked blade bared in your direction. Then, almost in contrast, Neo spread her legs, grabbed my hand and pushed it down to caress her drenched pussy.

"I think you might be right, Hinata," I said, rubbing my fingers over her slit, a thin, wet piece of cloth offering almost no protection. "She did enjoy that too much to call it a punishment. But I think I can fix that easily enough," I said, pushing her thong to the side.

Her slit was bare, the lips parted, ready to accept my fingers as I slid into her. Neo shifted, no sound coming from her but I recognized the action as a moan. She was like a furnace, her walls eagerly sucking me in. She was already at the edge.

I curled my fingers, feeling her walls clamp down to cum, only for me to remove my fingers entirely. Neo went still, gripping the edge of the couch with white knuckles. She glared hard at me, that dangerous look in her eyes becoming outright murderous as I denied Neo her orgasm. I had the distinct impression that I was going to suffer for this at some point, but she didn’t end the encounter as I lazily teased her lower lips.

Slowly, I eased my fingers into Neo again, feeling them hug tightly to me to prevent me from leaving again. I stroked her walls, exploring her wet depths as her hips shifted, offering me better access to her drenched pussy. All the while, she stared at me, daring me to deny her again. And, naturally, as I felt her orgasm near, I withdrew my fingers.

“Do you promise you won’t be naughty anymore, Neo? Good girls get to cum and bad girls get punished,” I teased, my fingers drifting over her swollen clit. Neo glared, her eyes flickering to Hinata for a brief moment. I thought she was about to call the entire thing off and storm out of the place, maybe attack one of us, but instead she did the surprising thing.

Her lips moved. I wasn’t a master of reading lips, but I knew exactly what she said.

Sharing a smile with Hinata, I plunged my fingers back into her wet tunnel, zeroing in on her g-spot, and pressed down on it. Neo’s eyes rolled up, her expression a one of utter bliss as she came hard. Her pussy wept with arousal, gushing out over my hand as her entire body seemed to lock up as the tides of her orgasm took her out into the depths to drown her in pleasure. Her mouth moved, but no sound came out.

Her hips ground against my hand, eagerly taking me in deeper, and I obliged, mercissely fingering her pussy and as soon as her first orgasm neared its end, Neo was swept back into the sea of pleasure. I looked at Hinata, who watched the entire thing with a blushing face -- she hadn’t participated, but she had egged the entire thing on. With my cock straining against my pants, I leaned in and pressed my lips against hers.

Hinata melted into the kiss after a brief moment of surprise, while Neo melted under my touch as I ruthlessly delivered her a third orgasm.

In the end, it was more than worth having my not-date prematurely ended.

Now that was a great turn around.

It was better than the last chapter. We'll see if Neo really will learn to restrain herself and know when to take things seriously or if she's just lying. I would be surprised if she gave a shit about her own life at this point after her POV in the last chapter.

Honestly still not a fan of it. I just don't think Neo's character works here, too much personality clash and the conflict she provides is more annoying than engaging. I'll also say that Nero has far too little pride to 'Be a Dragon.' I feel like the story would be far better served with more flares of anger and annoyance than guilt. His guilt draws a stark contrast from the type of character Nero seems to be most of the time. I can certainly understand why he's guilty, but I'd find the character far more engaging if his pride showed through more, not just in sexual or violent situations, but in general in his day to day actions.

That's pretty much the entire reason why I picked Neo -- because of how heavily her personality was going to clash with Hinata and Nero. As for Nero's personality, right now it's not in his character. He has personal pride, but he doesn't have a lot of reasons to be proud. A lot of things were just dropped into his lap without him earning any of them. That'll start to change when he makes reasons to be proud other than making girls cum their brains out.

I can't seem to reply to your reply to my last comment, so I'm adding it here: I can certainly understand that, I just think it throws too much into the story too soon. Nero and Hinata has a hell of a lot on their plate as is, both in terms of personal issues and the world at large. Adding Neo isn't addressing a lack of conflict in the story, it's making things excessive (in my opinion). I feel like you'd be better off holding back on adding a character like Neo until the pair of them are in a slightly better place, and seem to be coming to a stasis before throwing Neo in to feed the flame. As for Nero's pride, I wasn't talking about just his personal pride, I was talking more about the whole premise being 'Be a Dragon.' When most people think of being a dragon, they think immense pride, wrath, and everything that comes along with it. I think Nero's mindset is coming off as too human, and personally I don't really care for that. I'd be far more interested in reading about his struggles with having a completely warped mindset than just reading about a human get over human hangups. This could just be me, but I feel like you could have made Nero's struggles far more compelling by making him deal with feeling a lack of guilt due to those he killed, rather than having him struggle with being overwhelmed with guilt.

Well, the whole point, from what I'm understanding, is that Nero will grow to be a Dragon, not that he already is.

I really like this, and it does give me hope for how you plan on using Neo to to give development to Nero, Hinata, and likely Neo herself over time. Robin and Nero's relationship has my interest, I don't think Robin sees it quite as romantic as Nero does whatsoever, but I'm sure Robin is genuinely happy to have a friend that she can't read the mind of, and in general Nero fits a lot of the stuff that Robin would be interested in for a friend. I imagine the next meeting between Nero and Robin will end up having them discuss Neo's actions ngl
