On August 31, 2004 a man was found unconscious next to a dumpster behind a Burger King. He was naked, sunburnt and had no idea who or where he was.  It was thought that his memory would soon return, but it didn't, sparking a decade long search for his identity.

I went to Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Indiana in the early 2000s, and I've never heard this story! It's fascinating. I'll have to read that long-form article Dave mentioned.
