The colors for page 96 are now complete. Wendy leaves Mabel and Pacifica to finish their business, buying Pacifica time to try and drill a convincing backstory into Mabel.

This page marks the end of this scene, preparing this comic for transition into the next. As mentioned in the lines this means the next part of Emotion Sickness is set for next week, and then once that's done I'll get back to this.

LINES:

Here are the lines for page 96 of Bawdy Falls. Wendy decides to give the "lovebirds" their space, buying Pacifica the time necessary to try and fabricate a backstory with Mabel.

Oof, another page that gave me trouble, but finally done. Now I can sleep. This page actually marks the end of this scene and readies the comic for the next transition. As such I will likely be starting the next scene for Emotion Sickness soon, and by soon I mean possibly next week.

Poor girl can't get no attention...

Yes Mabel do what you know how to do and let Paz put herself in a hard situation or on a hard one XD

So when did Mabel become attracted to Dipper? I know its not part of this seen, but I'm curious what your headcanon is for that. In relation to this scene, I honestly kinda like how Wendy is being shot down as much as I love her as a character. In the show she was the unobtainable love of Dipper, so seeing her like this makes her feel more human...plus its funny seeing the role reversal of her trying to get Dipper's attention XD

I wouldn't really say she's been "attracted" to Dipper, she just wasn't against the idea, and seeing his "morning woodies" was simply appealing to her. She also said to Pacifica that she's not as into girls either, "but fun is fun." Also, yeah, I like the irony of Wendy now being the one feeling rejected, even though it's largely a series of misunderstandings.

Nice! Looking forward to when Wendy gets it on. Though I would consider changing "Neither of us is going anywhere" to "Neither of us 'are' going anywhere"?

Well AKCHOOALLY (can you hear my lisp in the text?) Neither and either are both singular, its just the plural use became widely used in speech. Considering the Northwests are meant to be super prim and proper, I'm sure Pacifica had the proper way of saying it drilled into her head as a kid.

Isn’t it all around how you throw it in context though? Like in this instance the neither is directly connected to us, thus inferring a plural? Like you would say neither of these instead of neither of this?

Not an English nerd or anything, it just sounds better to me 😂

Wendy thinks Pacifica is amber heard

Had to Google who that is. Yeah, that seems about right, and I wanted to make Mabel's remark kind of feel that may be true, even though it's not.

Is this going to be continued soon? Bawdy Falls is the main reason I became a patron.

incognitymous

It will resume after I finish another scene of Emotion Sickness, so it will be on hiatus until then.
