My Patreon and the tiers were updated : Good news! [Important] (Patreon)

Hello dear patrons! I highly recommend to read that post.

This Saturday (05.09.2020) I updated my whole Patreon page, to make it easier to use for you and easier to manage for me. My objective was to give it a more definitive form.

The page exists for a long time, but for several years, there was no benefit for the support. Three months ago, I started giving exclusive content in exchange for the support, and the page grew really fast. In return, it allowed me to purchase fantastic sound libraries that I profusely use, and gives me hope to make it my job someday (soon?).

These months were also a test, to understand what you prefer and how I can provide it. Naturally, the search for a balance is constant, and I'll update the page again if you express a need of change in what I provide. I always put a lot of attention for my community, never hesitate to tell me your opinion.

What has changed

Six tiers are now "historical". These tiers have been unpublished, it means that new patrons cannot pledge to them. If you are still pledging to one of these tiers, you are welcome to stay on it. I don't plan to delete them before there are still people pledging on them, and I don't want to force you to chose another tier. I do that as a "Thank you", because Loyalty is one of the virtues I value the most IRL, and it should be rewarded. So no worries, stay where you are if you want. Basically you keep the same benefits for a cheaper price*. More explanations below.

There are new/updated tiers. All tiers have been updated. The new 3$ tier is now support-only (no audio material benefit, except for a few gifts/giveaways I'll do randomly). The old/historical 3$ tier and 5$ tiers benefits have been merged in the new 5$ tier called "Adventurer". New music pieces downloads are now a 10$ (Guardian) counterpart, BUT if you were pledging 5$ before Saturday you keep the right to download new music tracks, as I said in the previous paragraph.

The reasons. I made these changes because there were too many "tiers with audio benefits", and it was too hard to make sure that the 10$ tier received 3.3x more than the 3$ one. Also, after having spoken with other successful content creators, they all told me that I had too many tiers and it was unbalanced : 'too generous' (their words) with the 3$ tier. At the same time, the 5$ tier had free music download, which is definitely cool, but doesn't justify a whole tier just for it. This is why it's now a "bonus" feature for the new Guardian rank.

Credits. I had to make a small change to the credits I give for the Guardian patrons : I now export the current list of patrons to my new videos and I stopped manually updating the list. With all the movements it was impossible to remember the right pseudos. On the other side, you were in the description, but now you are in the video. Thousands of people will witness your glorious support! :D

Summary. So as I said, financially you all better up stay on the tiers you actually are, as you get more than what you would if you were a new patron. Naturally you are welcome to increase your pledge to another tier if you want more benefits. You are also welcome to increase the pledge to the new tiers to match their 'real value', but I won't be upset if you don't, that's the point of that long message :)

*I don't exclude deleting the historical tiers in 6 months or more, to keep things tidied on my side (I'm extreme about that). But you'll be warned waaaay before it happens, it won't be a surprise.
