Today was one of those days that's dark from start to finish, even the morning light has you believing it must be dusk in December. I canceled a doctors appointment, and buried myself in a mound of pillows, still dressed in button down corduroy. My fancy layering outfit for braving the rain and wind outside...I piled my hair in a bun, fully ready to set out to the appointment, and then crawled under the covers and thought, "why do that though? I'll simply reschedule." I felt, briefly, like a female Oblomov.

In two days I'm leaving for Austin, Texas. I'm staying with a lovely person there - eyesofjune  - and shooting with a few photographers in the area (AnimalMagikPhotography,  Reverend Bobby Anger ). Perhaps I'll come back East ten pounds heavier from barbecue as well. Don't worry, not really.

Then, my next trip is to Philadelphia where I'm a bit overwhelmed with work - for some reason this is a typical thing for me in Philadelphia. I just want some time to visit one of my favorite museums ever - The Mutter Museum  - only visit this link if you are not squeamish. So, I have saved some time to do that before leaving the city, and I'm very excited for that - and perhaps I can talk Jeff Scott (Scott Workdwide Photo ) into taking me to little Italian deli shops again.

And after that! Columbus! I'll be seeing and working with my friend Diana Schenkel  again as well as working in various studios in the area. I've added new cities to my 2017 tour list as well. I'm going to be driving all over Florida on the coast line, and I'm really looking forward to that warm break in the New England (Baltimore is close enough) winter. And I added Nebraska to my February trips - and I've promised myself not to eat a half pound burger this time. I'm sticking to the quarter pound size now - I'm sure my petite body is thankful. And that's about all for updates! I'll be adding new photos soon, and some more journaling on the road. I'll be road tripping a bit in Texas as well, so that should be interesting enough.

Kansas City has amazing barbecue! It's probably my favorite as well - they have the best sauce (apparently some people think it's blasphemy to put sauce on barbecue he though).

Yes, I guess that is a Texan's opinion ? Maybe Carolina's too ? I am glad I don't need to be so stridently rigid ?
