Journal. February 17. (Patreon)

Today I've mostly been at home painting, updating my print store, and trying to answer my emails while making travel plans - particularly for Europe and Canada.

In April, I'll be making my last trip to Canada until 2020. Trying to plan out the whole thing, all of the various train travel I'll need to do, plus my hosting, is a bit difficult. And I really, really do not want to pay for an airbnb in Ottawa. So, working around that is a bit funny. Last time I was in Ottawa, I stayed at a cute apartment that was close to a French bakery. I also got served an eviction notice for the resident as they were 6+ months behind on rent. It's the first time I've ever seen an eviction notice in person - and hopefully the last. 

I'm also visiting Quebec City! And I am super excited about seeing it as well. And of course, I'll be visiting Montreal again, and it's one of my favorite cities I've been to. 

Planning Europe has been different. I'm following the plane tickets on Google just waiting for them to drop below $250 each way to get there. I added Krakow, Poland to my itinerary for myself, and I'm excited about that. But I'll have to go there from Warsaw, and then go back to Warsaw after to avoid having to spend a ton of money on a plane ticket. And then all the plane tickets I'll be dealing with while I'm there...it's going to be a bit much I think. I'm tired just thinking about it.

So I've been painting today also and trying not to think about it. I think I'm going to start using flowers to collage with in my paintings and painting over them as well. Above is a small piece I'm still working on, and I'll be trying that in this one. I've only added watercolor so far, but I'm going to use oil soon too. So far being home has been nice. I've been cooking every day, doing photos, and I've finally caught up on all of my email! I'm posing for an art class tomorrow that I'm happy to be doing. I'm photographing at least three models next week too, so I'll have more photos to post. Honestly, I'll likely save some of these sets for next month too because I feel like I've been spam-posting photo sets recently. 

Also! I saw this thing they've now added here like the instagram story feature? Have any of you used this yet? How did it work for you? Did you like it or is it annoying? Yes, just feel free to let me know in the comments or something :D
