little question thingy (Patreon)

Ok, so I know this is weird to post, like, right after my post about taking a break, but I wanted to ask y'all a question about something and now I feel like I can since I'm not stressed to get a fic out anymore, lol;

If you're reading an homage to something/a fic that was directly inspired and follows another fic, which would you prefer? An ending that closely follows the original ending, or an ending that more closely matches the writer's style?

Also yes, book wyrms technically have an extra vote for this if they want cause it's a poll, lol. And I'm also putting this poll on Twi-X just because I want as wide of a pool of answers as possible 'cause I'm genuinely curious.

Oh, and this is the kind of thing that I would do on a Discord instead of here if y'all end up being in support of that, lol
