Chapter 152: The Final Chapter of Reality

As Nie Jia lifted Sekharo by the collar, the murderous aura emanating from Ye Geng and others around them was enough to make ferocious beasts flee in terror.

Nie Jia, however, remained unmoved, his grip unwavering.

With a downward gesture from Sekharo's hand, the others restrained their attack intentions and stood motionless behind him.

"I understand," Sekharo's voice was hoarse.

Nie Jia then gave a short, disdainful snort and released Sekharo, sending him back to where he stood.

Sekharo looked at Nie Jia's indifferent eyes and asked, "I apologize for my earlier indiscretion and hope you can forgive me. I just don't know how to interact with you. My greatest wish is to protect you and assist you... Whatever you want to do upon returning, I can be your support. You don't want to go back to find Shi Chen, right?"

Nie Jia glanced around. The Sea of Nescience was a place not governed by any national government. For a moment, he didn't know how to leave here and return to the Empire.

---

Meanwhile, Shi Chen had dismantled half of the Imperial Tribunal with the Bright Bat, allowing numerous criminals to escape amidst the chaos. The military district had deployed troops to apprehend them, but he, the culprit, took no responsibility and disappeared directly with the border commander.

The military district remained in a state of tension and chaos throughout the night. Lieutenant Lin Yuan was negotiating with the Tribunal personnel, when a mechanic suddenly pointed outside the window in alarm: "Lieutenant... Lieutenant! It's an enemy attack!"

Lin Yuan immediately turned his head and saw a huge crack in the night sky, as if an invisible giant had torn open a long, narrow slit in the sky.

There were figures within the crack. Lin Yuan blinked suddenly, his vision zooming in continuously. He saw Nie Jia's indifferent face and Sekharo standing behind him among others.

"Inform the border troops." It wasn't an enemy attack, but what happened at the Tribunal still made Lin Yuan apprehensive. He walked a few steps toward the expansive window, looking up at Nie Jia in the distance, feeling uneasy.

The military district sounded the alarm, and countless combat units rushed out.

Nie Jia's gaze met Lin Yuan's, and he said expressionlessly, "You're not needed anymore. This is my personal grudge. You better not interfere."

Sekharo nodded. "Of course, I'll just clear the riff-raff outside for you and won't disturb you."

Nie Jia stepped forward, and in an instant, he appeared in front of Lin Yuan. His movements were too fast; Lin Yuan's surprised pupils couldn't keep up with half his speed. When he came to his senses, Lin Yuan had already been pinned to the ground by Nie Jia, his neck pressed down.

Nearby soldiers immediately drew their guns to warn, but Nie Jia remained unmoved. He stared into Lin Yuan's eyes like a cold, predatory beast.

"Are you the highest commander of the military district?" Nie Jia asked, his fingertip firmly gripping Lin Yuan's throat.

"Release Lieutenant Lin!!"

Nie Jia raised his head, his brows trembling impatiently. He flicked his fingertip, and a tsunami-like pulse wave instantly stunned everyone else. Sparks burst from the equipment, and the energy lights flickered before finally going out, leaving everything in darkness. Yet, Lin Yuan could still clearly see the pair of eyes, brilliant yet icy, so close to him.

"I am," Lin Yuan, drenched in cold sweat, responded with difficulty.

"This military district is the protector of the Tribunal. Was it your command when the Freedom Legion attacked the Tribunal, or not?" Nie Jia inquired.

"It was..."

"Who killed Fei Duan?" Nie Jia asked again.

Lin Yuan was momentarily stunned. "What?"

Though Nie Jia had been cold and composed, in this instant, he seemed like a raging beast. His angry roar echoed in Lin Yuan's ears, "I'm asking you, who killed Fei Duan!"

Nie Jia lifted Lin Yuan from the ground, pressing him against the floor and dragging him out. After finding the command room, Nie Jia threw Lin Yuan onto the console and demanded sternly, "The military records every operation. Now, find the footage for me!"

This wasn't classified information. Lin Yuan got up, entered his password nervously, and told Nie Jia, "The Freedom Legion illegally entered and attacked the Tribunal. It was legitimate for the military to take action."

"Shut up," Nie Jia gave him a fierce look.

Lin Yuan retrieved the footage from that day. There was no sound, but the gruesome scenes were enough to send shivers down Nie Jia's spine. He stood there, watching Minnie, who had been decapitated, and Fei Duan, torn to pieces... Everything was exactly as the blond man had described when he woke up.

Nie Jia overestimated himself; he didn't even finish watching the operation record before raising his hand and smashing the equipment.

Lin Yuan dared not speak. He watched as Nie Jia's shoulders trembled uncontrollably. When he looked up again, his eyes were filled with hot tears and hatred. The round pupil in his left eye melted into a circle like melting candy, then condensed into the same sharp vertical pupil as his right eye.

"I want retribution from all of you," Nie Jia said to Lin Yuan, his eyes terrifying like frozen ice nests.

Lin Yuan's breath quickened, the primal instinct screaming at him to flee. He clasped his hands together, and between them appeared a huge halo. He jumped into the halo but didn't expect Nie Jia to follow closely behind, tearing through space and stepping into the Hurricane Camp together.

At this moment, everyone in the Hurricane Camp was preparing to support the square. Lin Yuan hoarsely ordered, "Kill Nie Jia first! Kill him!"

Nie Jia looked at the soldiers rushing toward him, their badges matching those in the video recordings, and couldn't help but smirk. "Perfect, all here."

Above the square, Yi Geng disengaged from the battle and flashed to Sekharo's side, suppressing his excitement. "Master! He's awake now. I'll go get your eyes back for you!"

"What's the rush? Let him play first." Sekharo, devoid of his usual tolerance and kindness in front of Nie Jia, displayed a nearly manic emotion in his eyes, murmuring with delight, "Let me see the power of these eyes."

The military district was in chaos, even more critical than the Imperial Tribunal the day before. Until the roar of warships sounded, Yi Geng looked up, and armed warships kept flashing from hyperspace, surrounding the entire military district.

"It's the Deep Nest troops from the border, Shi Chu is here," Yi Geng frowned. "Master, this level of combat power is not good for us. Shouldn't we end it quickly?"

Sekharo raised his hand slowly to stop him. "Good, this eye should be able to handle the Deep Nest troops after all these years of effort."

"Yes," Yi Geng nodded.

The huge flagship hovered in the air, and Shi Chen appeared first, then disappeared immediately, carrying millions of Bright Bats toward the Hurricane team's camp.

Shi Chu came down with a cold face, and a captain quickly stepped forward and saluted crisply, "General!"

"This place is temporarily under the control of our Deep Nest troops. Tell your people to stay in their dormitories and not come out. Otherwise, if they get hurt, I won't take responsibility." Shi Chu said.

The Deep Nest was a border troop, the real combat unit to deter external enemies on the border. The fact that the Deep Nest troops appeared in large numbers and surrounded the military district made it seem as if Shi Chu was going to rebel.

Shi Chu gestured for his men to come down and clean up the battlefield.

She squinted slightly, looking at the giant wielding a huge mech sword not far away and the girl on his shoulder, and suddenly let out a cold laugh.

"It's you guys, taking away my brother Jia in front of me. I haven't settled the score with you yet!"

At this moment, the entire Hurricane Camp was soaked in blood.

Nie Jia stood still, covered in blood, surrounded by severed limbs and wreckage.

After waking up, he had swiftly killed the prosecuting team and the army slaughtering the hunters in a short amount of time. Everything seemed to have ended.

Nie Jia numbly squatted down and pulled out a mech knife from the pool of blood. He held the blade against his neck, and it almost bit into his skin automatically. But before that, Nie Jia forcibly stabbed it half an inch into his neck. Blood flowed into his sleeve as long as he exerted a little force, everything would end!

Nie Jia didn't know what he was thinking. His breath became more and more rapid, and he even choked up a bit. He bit his teeth, trying several times to muster the courage to cut, but instead, he cut his palm, making it a bloody mess.

With a ding sound, something invisible accurately struck the blade. Nie Jia's hand trembled, and the mech knife fell back into the blood pool.

Nie Jia stiffly raised his head and saw Shi Chen, pale-faced.

"What are you trying to do?" Shi Chen walked up and angrily lifted Nie Jia from the ground. "Are you trying to drive me to death?"

Nie Jia's eyes were sour, but he didn't avoid Shi Chen's gaze like before. He choked out, "Can't you just leave me alone?"

"You damn well are my lover! Who else should care about you if not me? Is Sekharo, that old bastard who treats you as a vessel for these eyes, going to care about you?" Shi Chen was uncontrollably furious and deeply sad. "I can tolerate your sensitivity and inferiority because I know I will love you and accompany you for the rest of my life. I've always known that you're afraid I'll leave you. Even if I try to tell you my feelings, you never trust me. That's okay. I have hundreds of years ahead of me to prove it to you and make you feel at ease. But what were you doing just now? I'm a person, not a machine! Have you ever thought about what I would do if you killed yourself? Why do you want to abandon me and torture me?"

Shi Chen accused Nie Jia mercilessly, gripping his wrist tightly and refusing to let go.

"You don't understand, it's not like that!" Nie Jia didn't defend himself but rather countered in agony.

"Then tell me, what do you want to see me do, hear me say, to stay by my side?" Shi Chen clenched his wrist tightly, still yelling at Nie Jia with unrelenting rage, but tears of helplessness flowed from his eyes. "Can't you live for me?"
