"What do you need from me?" Lumiere immediately asked.

The little flying mouse behaved indifferently, not eager to reveal the details of the task to Lumiere. Instead, it gracefully raised its delicate paw, displaying a mixture of elegance and authority.

"First, absorb the power of the reception ceremony. You have already proven yourself to the Rainforest; this is what you deserve."

As it spoke, green lights began to glow on the altar beneath the throne.

Lumiere walked over, his heart racing. Clusters of green light successively flowed into his head, neck, chest, abdomen, and limbs. He felt his already strong muscles become even more solid, while new abilities flooded into his mind. The sensation of being filled with energy and information was indescribable.

Lumiere couldn't help but raise his head and let out a triumphant howl. It wasn't until a full ten minutes later that he regained his composure, his voice hoarse as he muttered to himself:

"So, it's like this, so it's like this! My path to legend has finally opened—It's both within and beyond the Rainforest!"

At this moment, Lumiere was excited, but his gaze held a hint of confusion, as he was still digesting the massive amount of information brought by the path to legend.

"Now, leave the Rainforest, go to the Golden Coast in the south, to the city of Kordo, and find a man named Matthew."

The cold voice of the little flying mouse resounded:

"Use any means necessary to bring him to the Rainforest, and keep him there for as long as possible!"

Lumiere was taken aback. He remembered the name Matthew, the man who had brought him good fortune. He wanted to ask the Rainforest Spirit about the significance of this task, but the little flying mouse impatiently waved its paw.

"Remember, you only need to do what you're supposed to do. Don't ask about anything else."

Lumiere furrowed his brow. He pondered for a moment and finally nodded gently.

"I understand."

A strong light enveloped Lumiere, and his figure slowly disappeared into the Blackthorn Dreamland.

A moment later, Suya appeared expressionlessly by the throne. Surprisingly, the little flying mouse did not descend from the throne but excitedly gazed at Suya.

"Suya, I just imitated your appearance. Do I resemble you a bit?"

Suya rarely gave a compliment.

"You, little flying mouse, have some potential in imitating, but if I weren't so tired of this guy who wasted nearly ten days, I wouldn't allow you to sit here. Hey, haven't I seen you before? Are you that boastful little flying mouse who brags about everything, no matter what happens?"

Tears welled up in the little flying mouse's eyes.

"You finally remembered me!"

Then, he boldly suggested, "Why don't you take a rest here, and I can handle things. I think I have a talent for imitating the Rainforest Spirit!"

Suya gave a cold smile. Seeing this familiar expression, before Suya could react, the little flying mouse swiftly climbed down from the throne and perked up its rear.

"Be gentle this time..."

Before it could finish its sentence, the little flying mouse was kicked to the heavens!

...

The Happy Gaming Casino.

Inside the Lian's office.

Matthew's gaze quickly scanned the data panel. After a few moments of contemplation, he selected "No"! "Mediation" was just one of the elements in the equilibrium domain. Although he had unexpectedly accumulated enough single elements through this method, Matthew had no intention of entering the equilibrium through "mediation."

Entering the domain with a single element had at least two disadvantages. First, the abilities obtained after entering the domain were highly related to the single element. In Matthew's case, he would mostly gain abilities related to conflict resolution and atmosphere adjustment, with the best-case scenario being an ability to enhance his eloquence. This wasn't what Matthew wanted.

Second, doing so would leave the mark of "mediation" in the equilibrium domain, affecting his future development in the equilibrium domain. It was well known that the first entry was crucial. Creating a good impression on the domain during the first entry would make subsequent entries more convenient and smooth.

"Mr. Lian, I have not thought it through properly. I will go back to verify the situation with Lily. If it is indeed a misunderstanding, I will apologize to you, and I will compensate you for the money you spent on the door."

With a backpack on her back, Bobo approached the desk and said softly.

Lian's desk was high, and from his perspective, he could only see Bobo's helmet. For some reason, the image of this made him want to laugh.

Lian appeared quite serious.

"No need for compensation, Miss Mechanic. Just promise me that you will immediately disarm the bomb installed in the casino, and we will consider this matter settled between us."

Bobo tried to stand on her tiptoes, attempting to establish eye contact with Lian. Matthew thoughtfully handed over a chair from the side. Bobo whispered her thanks and then stood on it.

This time, her presence was more imposing.

"I will compensate for what needs to be compensated. If you're worried about the non-existent bombs, don't be. I only brought one bomb with me today, and it's in my backpack. What I said earlier was just to scare you. How could I possibly harm innocent people?"

Bobo said earnestly.

"Really?"

Lian didn't seem to believe her.

"Do mechanics really carry a bomb with them when they go out?"

Bobo crossed her arms and looked down at Lian from her elevated position.

"I knew it, people know too little about mechanics. There's always some misunderstanding. Do you all think we're just a bunch of people who make explosives?"

Lian shrugged, lighting another cigar.

Matthew shrugged as well.

"I admit my ignorance; I know very little about mechanics. But in the literature and books I've seen, mechanics are often portrayed as walking arsenals."

"Biases, they're all biases!"

Peggy tried to explain, "We also do good deeds from time to time. A few years ago, the cloud spirits and sky giants had a massive battle over a cloud ruin. It quickly turned into a protracted conflict, causing a lot of casualties on both sides.

Because these two races are our neighbors, whether it's the Cloud City where the cloud spirits reside or the Sky Isle of the sky giants, they are located in the same sky region as the headquarters of the Mech-Mages, known as 'Cyberdragon.' Well, 'Cyberdragon' is a magnificent floating city. If you haven't heard of it, you should brush up on your geography.

In any case, the big battle between these two neighbors worried the Mech-Mages of Cyberdragon. We started thinking of ways to stop this war in our own way.

And eventually, we did.

We found an opportunity to blow up the cloud ruin that was the cause of the dispute between the two races, which was said to have been left from the early Enlightenment Era, and we blew it up completely, without leaving a trace of dust.

After this incident, the cloud spirits and sky giants never clashed again.

See, we Mech-Mages can still do some good deeds."

Behind his desk, Yu Lian silently puffed on a cigar, his hand shaking.

Matthew also rubbed his temples and asked, "So, what's the relationship between Cyberdragon, Cloud City, and Sky Isle?"

Peggy naturally looked at him and said, "Of course, it got very messy! Anyway, for the greater good, we had to make sacrifices. Fortunately, they don't like us, and even if the cloud spirits and sky giants teamed up, they wouldn't be able to defeat Cyberdragon. After all, we only occasionally do good deeds; our real expertise is making bombs!"

This time, even Matthew fell silent.

And Peggy, like a proud rooster announcing a victory, hopped off her chair with great joy, "I'm leaving now to ask Lily for some answers!"

"Wait!" Yu Lian stopped her.

"In a while, go with him. I'll arrange for you to leave through the back door."

While speaking, he gestured to one of his men outside the door to temporarily block the main entrance and then opened the letter on his desk and began to read it.

Peggy didn't oppose this time and obediently sat down on a small stool beside them.

Two minutes later, Yu Lian raised an eyebrow and looked at Matthew, "So, you're here to find a way to restore balance, aren't you?"

Matthew nodded, his eyes filled with determination.

But deep down, he didn't have too high hopes. Leaving Kyrie Island, Matthew considered Colestone City as his last stop on his journey south. If he couldn't find the legacy of the Balance Way here, he planned to find some unfamiliar undead and have a night of 'Undead Night of Revelry' – a night of drinking until they couldn't stand.

Unexpectedly, Yu Lian said very casually, "I do know where the legacy of the Balance Way is. I was going to charge for this information, but since you helped me today, I'll tell you for free. To be honest, you're in luck. Previously, I sold this information to a tomb raider for a hefty sum of 1,000 gold coins!"

"Tomb raider?" Matthew was puzzled.

"Yes, the final legacy of the Balance Way is in the underwater tomb of the 'King of Lightwood.' The Golden Coast's tomb raider gang has been eager to get their hands on it, and they've tried to rob the tomb several times. Later, somehow, they found their way to me, and I told them about the path to the underwater tomb."

Yu Lian flicked his cigar like he was recounting a successful deal.

Matthew's heart sank.

Someone had beaten him to opening the tomb of the King of Lightwood, or else he wouldn't have found that grave marker stone on Kyrie Island's beach.

"What about you, as a member of the Su Clan, don't you value tomb tombs very highly? Isn't the King of Lightwood your ancestor?" He asked, puzzled.

Upon hearing this, Yu Lian couldn't help but sneer, "An ancestor? I don't care. My grandfather perhaps passed on some self-defense skills to me, but I couldn't make head or tail of the Balance Way. In any case, I'm self-made; I don't have any connection to the Su Clan other than blood ties, and I don't endorse their ways."

And with that, Yu Lian had spoken his piece.

Matthew naturally didn't press further, just inquired about the location and method of entering the underwater tomb.

Yu Lian said, "The King of Lightwood's underwater tomb is grand and colossal, located in a semi-plane with only two entrances, one for life and one for death. I directed the tomb raider to a dead-end, but you, with the Su Clan's seal on you, probably visited Kyrie Island and celebrated the Festival of the Elemental Lights there. You're still lively and kicking, which means you indeed have the potential to become a Balance Adept. I'm telling you the way to life, remember it well. After leaving Colestone City, head northeast, into the rainforest. Follow a riverbed strewn with light-blue gravel stones. Walk upstream along the riverbank for about two days, and you'll come across a lake.

That lake is called the Dragon Lake.

When you reach the center of the lake, go down about 1,400 meters from the surface, and you'll find the path to the King of Lightwood's tomb. Of course, I have to warn you, that lake is no ordinary place. It's inhabited by many monsters, even the fierce beasts in the rainforest are wary of it. Rumor has it that there are even Thunder Dragons in the lake. I've never been there, so I'm not sure, but you're on your own."

Dragon Lake.

Immediately, Matthew recalled Lumiere's encounter with the lake while hunting the Serpent-Necked Dragon at its shore.

At that time, he felt the lake was mysterious.

"So, Dragon Lake is related to the King of Lightwood's tomb. No wonder the ecology there is so unique; even the spirits of the rainforest seem to avoid it."

Matthew had a sudden epiphany.

"If you want to explore the underwater tomb, you'd better go soon. These days, it's a troublesome season, even Colestone City isn't peaceful."

Yu Lian reminded.

"Troublesome season?" Matthew gestured for more details.

Yu Lian explained, "The Golden Lord is trying to unite the southern coast. Many merchants and city lords from the small city-states have been seeking refuge in the north, and a significant portion of them have come to Colestone City. With so many refugees, there are bound to be opportunists, and who knows what the city's security will be like in the next few months.

Actually, the north isn't that peaceful either. The Wind-Sand Thieves are having internal conflicts and assassinations outside the city are common. What's worse is that these damn thieves often mistake their targets. Several of my clients have died at their hands.

There's also a group that goes by the name of the Cult of Yorukrus, spreading an evil faith in Yorukrus. They seem quite harmless, and when they're proselytizing, they even distribute bread to the refugees. But from my experience, this group is the most troublesome. I even suspect that the tomb raider who bought information from me before was working for the Cult of Yorukrus.

If you encounter them in the wilderness, be cautious. Of course, these are not the main problem. The most important thing, remember this well, is to avoid going to sea lately! Don't even go near the coastline!"

Matthew was surprised by Yu Lian's willingness to share this information, but he was particularly intrigued by the last part.

"Why?"

Yu Lian cursed under his breath before saying, "A poet who appeared out of nowhere was captured by a group of naga and taken to meet the Naga Queen, but when he met the queen, she took a liking to him. He ended up staying in the Aru Ruins, the most prosperous city of the Naga tribe, where the Naga Queen's palace is.

What happened next was extraordinary. From what I've heard, he not only slept with the Naga Queen but also her three daughters, a mother, and even the Naga Grand General who guarded the palace.

Although these cold-blooded snake people are perverted, they attach great importance to the loyalty of their partners.

There are some rumors that the Naga Queen initially wanted to make him a prince.

Now, the mother and daughters are at odds, the queen and the general are fighting, and the Naga tribe has descended into civil war. Furthermore, they've even taken the fighting from underwater to the surface, and whether it's the Naga Queen or the generals leading the troops, or the other princesses, none of them have good tempers. If they suffer losses among their own people, they'll naturally want to take it out on others.

The atmosphere in the Aru Inland Sea has been very tense these days, and that's the root of it.

What's even more absurd is that the poet who was presumably given a tour of the Naga Queen's palace and slept with all of them has disappeared. I haven't heard of him falling into anyone's hands; can you believe that?"

Listening to Yu Lian's rant, Matthew's expression gradually changed.

Collecting postal stamps from the Naga Queen's palace? Why did that sound so familiar?

"That's indeed bizarre," Matthew responded without revealing that he knew Lyria. He thanked Yu Lian several times after hearing the information.

They chatted for a while longer, confirming some details about the underwater tomb. Then, Matthew bid his farewell.

Peggy, who was sitting on the stool, also stood up immediately.

Yu Lian called out to one of his men to lead them out of the office through a secret door.

After a while, the bodies of the Purgatory Cerberus lying in the hallway began to transform slowly.

She changed from a terrifying monster into an attractive young girl with a tall figure, dark red skin, and a long, slender tail behind her.

The girl was dressed in a sexy leather outfit.

If Matthew were present, he would immediately recognize her as a Tiflin.

"Why didn't you get rid of them, Yu Lian? It doesn't fit your character."

The girl took off the collar around her neck and gently wrapped it around Yu Lian.

He, however, didn't dare move and looked straight ahead as if he were a gentleman.

"I run a casino, not assassinations, and those two aren't easy to handle. The Mech-Mage can explode at any moment. As for that Necromancer, he's a practitioner of the Balance Way. You might not understand what that means, but you need to remember that anyone who can trigger the Balance Way is quite... peculiar!"

Yu Lian looked tired.

"Is that why you let them leave so respectfully and shared information with them for free?"

The girl gently licked Yu Lian's earlobe.

"I hardly recognize you anymore."

Matthew unlocked the Guardian Psalm and set up a "Private Room of Duncan" in a corner.

The duration of this spell was 12 hours, making it suitable for protection and accommodation. The only limitation was to create the point in a safe location. Placing it in the wild or a dark alley could easily lead to its destruction, which would ruin the experience.

"Rest for now. Tomorrow morning, I'll go buy some underwater breathing potions, and then we'll head towards the rainforest."

Matthew announced as he entered the private room.

The Mech-Mage by the bedside made a soft hum and began gently cleaning their armor.

...

Late at night.

A figure was rapidly approaching Colestone City.

As they neared the city walls, the person leaped, soaring over the nearly ten-meter-high wall effortlessly!

Upon landing, they sniffed the air and dashed without hesitation towards the city's center.

It didn't take long before they arrived outside the Eaglehorn Inn.

"I've found it. The final scent lingers here, on the third floor... that room!"

Lumiere exclaimed with excitement, gazing at the dimly lit windows on the third floor.

In the next moment, without further thought, he leaped to the third floor of the inn with incredible agility. He navigated between the window sills and the roof tiles, soon reaching the desired window.

Lumiere decisively pushed the window open and entered.

However, as soon as his feet touched the room's floor, a fierce punch whizzed towards him from the side.

Fortunately, Lumiere's extraordinary senses and agility allowed him to perform a side somersault, narrowly evading the electrified, devastating punch.

A moment later, a small dwarf in heavy armor stood before him, eyeing him with anger. Blue electric sparks crackled from the gauntlet on the dwarf's right hand, ready to deliver another powerful punch.

"Hold on! I'm not a bad guy!"

Lumiere hurriedly explained.

Bobo grumbled crossly, "Sneaking into someone's room in the middle of the night; what do you call that if not being a bad guy?"

She was about to throw another punch.

Lumiere hastily shouted, "Martin! I smell Martin here, I'm here to find him!"

Zap! The electricity, ready to explode, suddenly subsided.

Bobo looked at Lumiere with a skeptical expression. "Smell?!"

At that moment, the person who had been alerted by the alarm spell emerged from the private room.

"What's going on?"

When he saw the uninvited guest, he was taken aback. "Lumiere, is that you?"

Lumiere excitedly gazed at Matthew, who had emerged from the room. He wanted to say something but suddenly felt lost, realizing he didn't know how to express his purpose.

Lumiere was deeply conflicted. Having grown up in the rainforest, he was not well-versed in social etiquette or skilled at lying. He couldn't simply say, "The Rainforest Spirit has ordered me to bring you back." That would not only hurt the Rainforest Spirit's reputation but also be embarrassing for himself.

So, he fell into contemplation.

"Did you advance? That's certainly a cause for celebration."

Matthew noticed the changes in Lumiere and congratulated him. "But why are you coming to me so late? Have you encountered any trouble?"

Confronted with Matthew's inquiry, Lumiere appeared hesitant.

Sweat trickled down his forehead, and he grew increasingly anxious, like ants on a hot pot.

Seeing this, Bobo's gauntlet started emitting a blue light again. "You know him? He doesn't look like a good guy; he's not even answering your questions!"

Matthew was perplexed. "Lumiere?"

Lumiere, feeling a bit lost, gazed at Matthew. Unexpectedly, he suddenly blurted out, "I missed you, Matthew."

In the room, the blue light on Bobo's gauntlet illuminated Matthew's astonished face.

Bobo shifted her gaze between the two men with a puzzled expression.
