Facing Raga's actions, Eli instinctively wanted to counter, but he restrained himself, as his intuition told him that this man before him didn't seem to have any ill intentions.

He furrowed his brows, contemplating the meaning behind Raga's question.

Then he shook his head and said, "No."

Raga seemed somewhat surprised. It was common knowledge that Matthew was popular among girls, and he had thought that Eli, like himself, belonged to the category of "victims of the charming ladies."

"Sorry," Raga said, realizing he had acted a bit out of line. He released Eli's hand and sighed, "I envy you."

"You have no idea how much the necromancer is adored by underage girls. If you have a daughter, you better keep a close eye on her, or you might regret it!"

Eli's lips twitched. Eventually, he spoke the truth, "She just joined, she's my girlfriend."

Raga's eyes widened. The two men on the rooftop fell into a heavy silence.

...

In Matthew's living room, the atmosphere was initially somewhat awkward. When two young women with distinctive appearances found themselves in a confined space, there were inevitable meaningful glances exchanged.

Soon, Sylvia sweetly smiled and said, "Matthew, do you have guests? You two can chat, Peggy and I will go to the kitchen."

With that, she casually linked her arm with Peggy's, and the two of them went to the kitchen.

Not long after, the tinkling laughter from the kitchen could be heard.

Samantha withdrew her gaze and asked with curiosity, "Do human girls nowadays have such boldness?"

Matthew shook his head and chuckled, "Sylvia is an exception."

He then personally poured a glass of milk for Samantha. "I came to see you today because of what you said that day."

Samantha got straight to the point, "At first, I didn't think everything you said was correct, but your words reminded me of... an old friend."

She took a sip of milk, wiping away the foam from her lips. Her lovely face showed a deep sense of nostalgia, "A long time ago, someone told me something similar, but I was too young at the time and lacked an understanding of the world."

She continued, "I thought about it carefully later. Even though you are a necromancer, you don't seem like a bad person. That day in the Insect Nest, I saw you transform into a crow. That's not something a mage can do; it's a wilderness form unique to druids. And no matter how dire the situation, the Moon Goddess would never grant the title of 'Moonshadow Walker' to someone unrelated to druids."

These thoughts prompted me to find you. I want to know if you really possess the abilities of both nature and undeath."

Matthew smiled slightly, "I'm sorry, that's my secret."

Samantha blushed slightly. She seemed somewhat self-conscious, "I'm not trying to pry into your secrets. I just... I just want to confirm something."

With his hands crossed, supporting his chin, Matthew suggested, "Why don't we talk about your friend first? If everything goes as expected, he might be the main reason you came to find me, right?"

He had initially thought Samantha came to him because she was impressed by his captivating debates. However, it turned out there was another reason, making Matthew both curious and somewhat defeated. He wondered what kind of friend could make a traditional druid like Samantha break free from her constraints to seek confirmation.

Samantha fell silent for a moment, and after a while, she began slowly, "Alright, let's start with my homeland. My hometown is a village by the sea. My parents and the other adults in the village made a living by fishing.

I don't have many memories of that village. I don't know why, but at the time, I was nine or ten years old, and my memories of my hometown are very blurry.

I only remember that one day, everyone in the village rushed out to see something exciting. My mother dragged me along, and we gathered at a rocky beach. There, by the shore, we saw an enormous, majestic, and exquisite ship – I can't express the awe I felt when I saw that ship for the first time in any language.

It was like the armor of a god, and it filled us with reverence.

On the ship's keel, there was a flag with golden characters on a black background, bordered in gold. The patterns on it were beautiful.

No one in the village had seen a flag like that before.

Many years later, I found it in the library of the Jade Green Court. It was the flag of the 'Su Nation.'"

She paused and looked at Matthew with a unique expression, "Do you know of the Su Nation?"

Matthew quickly understood Samantha's expectant look.

That emotion was called anticipation.

"I'm sorry, I don't know," Matthew replied. The term "Su Nation" didn't seem to fit the common language habits of this continent.

"Alright," Samantha said, with a fleeting disappointment in her eyes. "Most people in Eindor know very little about the Su Nation. After becoming a druid, I spent some time obsessively searching for traces of the Su Nation. But it was very difficult.

I only know that the Su Nation is on the other side of the Endless Sea, departing from the Gem Coast. There are three routes to find that legendary country: heading north, crossing the Ancient Ice Field and the desolate Eastern Lands, and there's a chance to reach the northern part of the Su Nation;

Going south means reaching the Jagged City and then heading southeast, crossing the Volcano of Doom, the Voodoo Swamp, and the Barbarian Peninsula. This route supposedly leads to the southern part of the Su Nation.

The last option is to sail across the Endless Sea.

In any case, that nation is very distant, mysterious, rich, and powerful.

Do you know? The leader of the Su Nation possesses a legendary profession called 'Emperor.' They combine their own magic with the earth's veins, and they can unleash unrivaled power with every move. The Su people believe they are the incarnations of true dragons.

The Emperor's wife usually gains a legendary profession called 'Empress.' It's said that she can communicate with phoenixes from above the Nine Heavens and also possesses immense power.

The Emperor, Empress, and their court protect the land of the Su Nation.

But on the borders of the Su Nation, in the endless chasms, there are always demons lurking. To counter these demons, the emperors of each generation built a grand magical wonder – the Great Wall.

It is said that even the shortest section of the Great Wall exceeds 300 meters in height!

The Emperor often personally fights the demons in the chasms near the Great Wall, and his mages are all formidable individuals. They also possess a special advanced profession called 'Great Wall Mage.'

It is said that a Great Wall Mage can use the power of the Great Wall to cast spells. When ten level-17 Great Wall Mages join forces, they can unleash a large-scale destructive spell comparable to a legend.

Of course, the Empress has her own mage group, but their special advanced profession is called 'Jade Phoenix Mage.' It is said that their power comes from the phoenix the Empress forms a contract with..."

...

Samantha's eyes sparkled as she recounted these details.

Matthew listened attentively, but his mind was far from calm.

From her description, this Su Nation seemed like a heavily altered version of ancient China.

When Samantha finished, Matthew said with admiration, "That is truly an astonishing country. So, all of this was shared with you by your friend?"

Samantha nodded, "I'm sure you've guessed that my friend came from the ship. He told me that their ship encountered a sea monster while sailing deep into the ocean. To evade the sea monster's pursuit, they had to change their course, and eventually, their ship had to dock due to extensive damage."

She continued, her tone tinged with self-deprecation, "To call him my friend might be wishful thinking on my part. Perhaps, in his eyes, I was just a young girl who was curious and loved hearing stories. He was the son of the captain, three years older than me. Their ship had all kinds of snacks, and they all opened my eyes to new horizons at that time."

"He once sneaked me onto the ship and took me to his father's room, where he showed me a Star Mirror – a mirror that could see very distant places with great clarity. He told me how they fought giant monsters taller than 300 meters in the deep sea..."

"For me at that time, these things were like living a dream."

Matthew couldn't help but ask, "Did you like him?"

Samantha waved her hand dismissively, "It was just an impractical fantasy of an early-maturing girl."

"We played together for a little over two months, and one day, they left without a word, just like when they arrived."

"I only remember the night before he left. He came down from the ship and brought me a lot of snacks. He told me they had set sail to find a legendary mage's treasure hidden in the Endless Sea. Finding that treasure would grant them a new path—"

"It would allow them to wield the power of life and death simultaneously."

He said that if he found the treasure, he would come back for me and we would share it together."

"During one winter, the village was destroyed by bandits, and I joined the Moonlight Society, becoming a druid."

"Of course, he never came back."

"Sometimes, I can't even be sure if that magnificent black ship was a dream I had as a child."

With these words, Samantha's eyes were filled with vivid memories.

The living room fell silent for a long while.

"So, you found me just to confirm if the treasure your friend mentioned exists?" Matthew asked.

Samantha nodded and added with a hint of anguish, "I'd prefer it not to exist. Otherwise, I might find it challenging to continue facing my beliefs."

Matthew spoke earnestly, "Your faith should be in nature, not in deities who have partial control over nature's authority."

He stood up and extended his hand to Samantha, saying, "Give me your hand."

Samantha hesitated for a moment but ultimately placed her hand in Matthew's palm.

...

On the rooftop, Raga felt as though he heard a roaring beast.

A fierce wind swept by.

The wild man moved at an astonishing speed and charged into Matthew's garden.

"Let her go!" Eli roared, trying to break through the window.

However, the next moment, a tremendous force emanated from Matthew's body.

Gentle breezes came from all directions.

The room seemed to disappear.

In its place was a warm and friendly oak forest!

Matthew and Samantha stood facing each other with their palms touching, while Eli, who had lunged toward the window, was stopped by the power of the field.

He looked around in astonishment.

Suddenly, he let out an incredible long howl!

Five seconds later, the oak forest twisted and disappeared.

...

"You activated the Oakfield Domain, and the druid Samantha, with your assistance, perceived the power of the Oakfield. She will now have a chance to comprehend the abilities of this field;

The druid Eli inadvertently entered your Oakfield. With his exceptional talent, he will also have an opportunity to comprehend the power of this field."

...

"Ah?"

Matthew turned to the window, surprised.

Outside the window, Eli's face was contorted with complex emotions, a mix of gratitude and pain.

"Eli!"

Samantha stomped her foot in anger.

Eli pushed open the window and said through clenched teeth, "Let go of my hand for now."

Samantha ignored him and turned to Matthew. "I didn't expect you to really have control over the power of life. But after sharing the Oakfield with me, it's more than just a demonstration. What do you want me to do for you?"

Eli's eyes widened in disbelief. He couldn't believe Samantha's attitude.

"Sukoku."

Matthew pulled his hand back. "I want to know everything about the Su Nation, and if possible, the information about the hidden treasure you mentioned."

Samantha nodded, "You will get what you want, the next time we meet."

Eli couldn't help but interrupt, "There will be a next time?"

Samantha transformed into a leopard in an instant, pouncing on Eli, and said, "Let me give you a ride outside."

Moments later, she turned into a brown bear and quickly dragged Eli out of town.

"Sorry, Samantha. I didn't mean to break our agreement. I just couldn't control myself. I was worried that the necromancer would deceive you."

Eli tried to explain himself to Samantha.

Samantha replied with an exasperated tone, "Enough, Eli. I don't want to talk to you about this anymore. Your possessiveness is suffocating. I'm an independent individual with my own thoughts and judgments. I know what I'm doing."

With her hands on her hips, she continued, "Your constant interference is disappointing. We're done."

Eli looked at her in disbelief, "You're pushing me away for him?"

Samantha looked at him with a hint of pity in her eyes, "Can't I have my own will in your eyes? Must everything I do be for someone else? You've disappointed me. Goodbye, Elder Tiger."

With that, she transformed into a leopard and left. She turned back briefly to warn Eli, "If I find out that you dare to cause trouble for Mr. Matthew, you know what will happen."

Eli stretched out his hand, as if trying to reach out to her fading figure, but he remained motionless. His chest burned with a fiery turmoil of emotions.

He stood there for about ten minutes, lost in thought. Suddenly, he let out a roar, transforming into a tiger and running off. Running was the only way to temporarily forget the pain.

But as he ran, he ended up in the northern part of the town, in the oak forest.

Suddenly, he stopped, sensing danger in the air. He muttered to himself, "You're so sharp, little tiger."

A charming female voice came from behind a rock. "Kuna?!"

Eli warned cautiously, "What's going on, Kuna?"

Kuna, the lithe black leopard, sauntered over. She even tried to scratch the tiger's chin with her claws, but he dodged the playful gesture. "What's wrong, little tiger? Upset because your girlfriend left you? Then let big sis take good care of you. It's not our first time, is it?"

Eli snapped, "Shut up, Kuna! Back then, I was young and foolish. I was seduced by you, and I didn't even know you had become a member of the Withering Cult. We're enemies now!"

Kuna laughed and said, "You're no fun, little tiger. Well, I just thought I'd help you feel better. Don't go away mad!"

Eli stared at her retreating figure. "Kuna's appearance here means there must be other members of the Withering Cult nearby. What are they doing in this little town? The only forest around here is this oak forest."

Eli pondered for a moment, "The Witherers can't possibly be planning to attack the oak forest. No, there's something even worse going on."

"No, I can't stand idly by. The oak trees are innocent," Eli decided. "I'm not leaving!"

Matthew's living room:

"Wait, the attractive lady just left through the window?" Sylvia asked with curiosity.

Facing Sylvia's questions, Matthew explained with a smile, "She's a druid."

"Oh, I see," Sylvia responded, somewhat shyly. "Matthew, I came here today mainly to express my gratitude for saving my life."

Matthew was taken aback. "Haven't you already thanked me?"

He was already thinking of how to politely decline Sylvia's next visit.

But in the next moment, Sylvia swiftly retrieved a small and delicate pouch from behind her and handed it to Matthew. "Last time was just a verbal thank you. This time, I brought a gift."

Matthew's eyes were glued to the pouch, but he couldn't find the words to refuse.

"Wow, how much does this cost?" Matthew asked in a hoarse voice.

Sylvia replied with honesty, "1400 gold coins. It wiped out all my pocket money before I turned sixteen. But that's alright; I'll be sixteen soon, and my father will give me a generous allowance."

Matthew hesitated. He couldn't say no to such a valuable gift.

At this moment, Peggy dashed into the room and swiftly snatched the pouch away. "I'll take it on his behalf!"

Matthew glared at her. "Did you tell her I wanted an enhanced pouch?!"

Peggy shrugged. "I mentioned you wanted an improved one for 500 gold coins. I had no idea she'd buy the super version."

Sylvia shrugged her shoulders too. "It's already given, and I can't take it back now."

With that, she lounged lazily on the sofa.

Matthew sighed. "Alright, thank you, Sylvia. I do need this. Thanks a lot."

Sylvia blinked her eyes, "Everyone really wants you to go back to teaching. I'm genuinely interested in the history you were telling me about. But, I can't learn just by reading books. Will you consider giving me private lessons?"

"Sure," Matthew agreed. "I'll start with 'The Hundred Cities Partition.' I didn't finish explaining it last time."

Sylvia was thrilled. She leaned in as Matthew fetched a thick history book and began explaining.

On the rooftop, Raga, who had been eavesdropping, muttered in disbelief, "They were just having a class?!"

Meanwhile, a carefree skeleton sauntered out of the kitchen door. Raga quickly crouched down and hid behind the grass mound, hoping it hadn't spotted him.

The skeleton curiously circled the windowsill before heading back inside.

Moments later, Raga overheard a peculiar conversation:

"Matthew, I've found a legitimate and profitable way to earn money!"

"Oh, really? Tell me."

"Use your charm to lure a bunch of girls, both adults and minors, to come here for lessons. Then we can sell premium seating tickets under the window for a high price!"

Matthew's response was a surprised "Huh?"

The conversation continued:

"But I've already accepted it," Sylvia said.

Raga looked up in shock and realized that it was just a discussion about a business idea. He shook his head in disbelief.

Then the skeleton announced, "I'll take it!"

Raga couldn't believe what he was hearing. The unexpected turn of events left him dumbfounded.

Back in the living room, Matthew couldn't help but give the skeleton a puzzled look. "Wait, you're interested in buying tickets?"

The skeleton cheerfully replied, "Of course! I need a good seat to watch your lessons!"

The scene played out in a rather comical manner as Raga continued eavesdropping.
