Chapter 496: Boarding Qualification

Before Tonpa reached the 190th floor, he had participated in more than ten matches, as had Dawn.

Both contestants arrived at the 190th floor undefeated and were scheduled to fight on the same platform.

Dawn's footwork was fast and agile, combined with his Nen-enhanced rapid punches, he had previously defeated his opponents in seconds.

His overwhelming strength quickly drew a large audience, who came to watch his matches and bet on his victories without hesitation.

Many even considered Dawn to be the new Luo.

As for Tonpa, although he also reached the 190th floor undefeated, his winning methods were not as impressive compared to Dawn.

Both were undefeated, but while Dawn defeated his opponents in seconds, Tonpa won by wearing them down.

Indeed, Tonpa’s strategy was to avoid fighting, evading attacks continuously until his opponents were exhausted.

As the match entered its tenth minute, the cheers for Dawn from the audience died down completely.

On the commentary bench, the girl monotonously repeated, "Tonpa evades again, Dawn's fierce attack still hasn't hit, Tonpa evades again...!"

On the platform, Dawn's attacks were swift and fierce, but Tonpa slipped through like an eel, dodging the storm of punches.

Dawn grew angrier and more anxious. Despite his superior speed, he couldn't land a single punch on the seemingly cowardly Tonpa.

Half an hour passed, then an hour.

The arena fell silent, save for the buzzing sound of Dawn's punches.

Dawn, aiming to become the floor master, paid attention to other contestants. There weren’t many undefeated ones; Tonpa was one of them, naturally catching his interest.

Dawn had watched several of Tonpa’s matches in person. To be honest, he thought Tonpa was lucky to face weak opponents and achieve an impressive undefeated record with his cowardly style.

He often imagined himself as Tonpa’s opponent and always concluded that he could easily defeat him.

Tonpa’s speed didn't impress him at all.

Yet, when he finally faced Tonpa, he was unexpectedly plunged into despair.

"Why can't I hit him? Why can't I hit him?"

Dawn kept asking himself as his rage boiled.

Just one punch, just one punch to knock out this cowardly opponent.

The referee kept his eyes on the movements of Tonpa and Dawn, his gaze becoming somewhat unfocused.

As a referee, he needed to stay alert and watch both fighters' actions, but this was the first time he encountered such a match.

He had never before wished for a match to end so quickly.

The referee felt troubled, while the audience who had bet on Dawn wore disappointed faces.

They knew how Tonpa won his previous matches. If Tonpa was the shield, then Dawn was definitely the spear capable of piercing it, at least that's what the audience thought.

Unfortunately, their disappointment turned into despair.

Dawn finally fell.

He wasn't knocked down by Tonpa but collapsed from exhaustion.

At that moment, an unprecedented booing erupted from the audience.

Tonpa didn't care at all. He raised his hands, closed his eyes, and enjoyed the most glorious moment of his life as if he had just won the world boxing championship.

"Awesome!"

He thought gleefully.

In the audience, Luo and Killua stood up and left amidst the escalating boos.

The two exited the arena and reached the corridor outside.

"Eight billion is ours. Where do you want to eat tonight? Pick anywhere, the more expensive, the better," Luo said.

Killua shook his head and firmly said, "Nowhere. I want to eat your cooking."

"Then you're missing a chance to splurge." Luo smiled and ruffled Killua’s hair.

Killua looked up seriously and said, "As long as I can eat your cooking, it's not a waste at all."

Luo couldn't help but laugh.

That night, in Luo’s floor master room.

A table was set for five people.

Luo, Bisky, Killua, Tonpa, and a scholarly black-haired man with glasses, Yun Gu, who had taught Gon and Killua Nen at the Heavens Arena. He was also Bisky’s disciple.

In terms of seniority, Luo was his senior brother.

Actually, Luo didn’t know Bisky had taken Yun Gu as a disciple. He only found out when they met at the Heavens Arena.

"Tonpa, you made it."

At the dining table, Luo looked at Tonpa.

"What?"

Tonpa was puzzled.

"In a while, I’m going to a good place across the sea. Congratulations on qualifying to board," Luo said with a smile.

Bisky suddenly understood. It turned out Luo had been putting so much effort into training Tonpa to take him to the Dark Continent.

Because of Tonpa’s poor talent, Bisky was not interested in him and didn’t really know what type of Nen Tonpa had.

But since Luo was willing to invest effort in Tonpa and decided to take him to the Dark Continent, it must be of some use.

Indeed, as Bisky guessed, with Luo’s help, Tonpa fully developed his ability to sense danger, creating a Nen ability useful for avoiding dangers.

It was supportive, but its use was not limited to evasion; it had broader applications, which could be particularly effective during the exploration of the Dark Continent.

"Where are we going?" Tonpa asked cautiously, feeling oddly nervous.

"You'll know when we get there," Luo said.

Yun Gu and Killua were curious, their eyes shifting between Luo and Tonpa.

Tonpa swallowed hard and forced a smile, "Can I not go?"

"What do you think?" Luo smiled.

Tonpa's face fell. He really had no choice because Luo held his life in his hands.

"Luo, where are you going?" Killua asked curiously.

Luo looked at him and smiled, "I'll tell you later."

"Okay," Killua pouted.

Yun Gu glanced at Bisky, who was quietly devouring the food, and asked, "Master, are you going with senior brother?"

Bisky looked up at him, nodded, and continued eating.

Yun Gu thought it was an experience worth participating in, so he hesitated for a moment and gathered his courage to ask, "Can I come along?"

"No."

Both Bisky and Luo rejected him simultaneously.

Yun Gu felt disappointed and asked, "Is it because there are no extra spots?"

The ship Elly was preparing could easily accommodate hundreds of passengers, but only three would ultimately board, so there would be plenty of empty spots.

"No, if you come, you'll definitely die," Bisky replied bluntly.

Yun Gu's face changed.

"Pfft."

Tonpa spat out the soup he had just swallowed.

So this is the good place?

Poor Tonpa didn’t know he was going to the Dark Continent, a human-restricted zone, which for someone as weak as him, would be a disaster.

Although his Nen could avoid danger, Nen has its limits, even with severe restrictions.
