Chapter 325: My Wish

This might be the first time they have relaxed since leaving Devil Island.

The more one experiences, the more one perceives.

Having felt helpless once or twice, one would not want to experience it again. Therefore, some things need to change in the future.

Whether it’s getting injured or having a broken blade, one must realize the potential dangers of this world and their own weakness.

This journey not only transformed Sanbica and the others, but also gave Luo a deeper understanding of this world.

The anime named "Hunter x Hunter" merely depicted a corner of this world.

The sea breeze blew in, lifting the hair of these young people on the deck.

Bang...!

Fifteen minutes had passed since throwing the black cat into the sea, and finally, the fishing line reacted and instantly tightened.

"It's here."

Luo quickly reeled in the line, hoping the black cat would bring back a high-level sea fish.

Seeing the anticipated reaction, the few people standing by were full of expectations.

When hungry, nothing was happier than eating the delicacies made by Luo.

"Click, click."

Luo turned the reel, retrieving the line inch by inch. Soon, the calm sea surface erupted with a splash. The black cat emerged holding a strange fish about the size of a calf, soared in the air for a moment, and then fell back into the sea.

"What an ugly fish."

During its brief appearance, Luo saw the fish’s appearance and a black line appeared on his forehead.

He wasn’t worried about whether the ugly fish was edible, but rather if it would taste bad.

The black cat rolled in the sea a few times before finally bringing the ugly fish onto the deck.

The strange fish was quite large, with two fist-sized gray eyeballs protruding from its forehead. Its mouth had structures resembling bat wings, mixed with several colors, looking slightly vivid.

The mouth structure was peculiar, with sharp teeth covered by a flesh-colored membrane. Gently removing the membrane revealed a row of sharp teeth.

The slightly vivid membranes on the sides of its mouth could either be a sign of this fish being highly toxic or an evolved feature to attract prey.

The fish’s head was ugly enough, and its bloated body matched it, with a row of crab-like segmented legs underneath, totaling thirty to forty.

"Can this fish be eaten?"

Nobunaga looked at the ugly fish on the deck, his mouth twitching.

"I took a bite, it tastes good." The black cat looked at Luo, who must have tested the taste before bringing the fish up.

Luo didn’t speak, taking a few steps forward, squatting down to touch the ugly fish. The white smoke font provided the information.

"This is called a Borko Fish, a very fierce species that usually hides under sea floor covers. It has a strong territorial sense and aggressiveness. It usually walks on the sea floor and rarely floats up."

While talking, Luo shot a small nen ball at the area slightly above the fish's eyes. With a slight pop, the fish quietly died in a few seconds.

That spot was the fish’s weak point. If it suffered penetrating damage there, no matter how strong its life force, it would die within three seconds.

"Not bad luck. Although it’s a C-level ingredient, it qualifies as a B-level ingredient."

"The most wonderful thing about Borko Fish is that within two hours of its death, it secretes a unique substance that acts like a ripening agent, making the somewhat astringent flesh more delicious."

"Therefore, the best way to eat Borko Fish is raw, but the optimal time to eat it is within two hours."

Luo looked at Buhara. He was not just explaining Nobunaga’s question but also wanted Buhara to know this information. After all, not everyone had such a convenient identification system as he did.

"Does that mean we have to wait two hours?" Buhara asked with a bitter face, unsure if he had listened to what Luo just said.

Luo rubbed his forehead helplessly and said, "Wait a bit. This Borko Fish is a mature one, but it's still not enough to eat. You stay here and keep fishing."

After speaking, he walked towards the lounge chair area.

It didn’t matter what other fish they caught later. Borko Fish was very suitable for making sushi, and it wasn’t easy to catch another suitable ingredient.

Buhara picked up the fishing rod with one hand, and the black cat, feeling the fish was definitely not enough, voluntarily wrapped itself around the hook and plunged into the sea again to find more ingredients.

Hearing they had to wait two hours, Sanbica and the others stopped crowding the deck and walked towards the lounge chairs, each taking a spot, leaving Buhara alone at the edge of the deck fishing.

In the captain’s cabin, Linne and Netero had heard Luo’s explanation of the Borko Fish.

"This kid knows a lot," Netero said.

"Yes." Linne nodded in agreement.

"Did he agree to your terms?" Netero suddenly asked.

"He agreed."

"Unexpectedly, he is willing to be tied to one place for at least five years," Netero said in surprise.

Linne glanced at him and said, "My place is not a prison. Besides, I haven’t gone out for a long time."

Netero understood immediately. Linne intended to take Luo along and then travel around.

This was a good thing.

Netero smiled slightly. He preferred Linne to go out more rather than staying at home listlessly, even though he had been to most places.

"The Dark Continent, I have no chance of going there again, but I hope Luo can go to the Dark Continent and retrieve what I left there." Linne stared at Luo on the deck and suddenly said.

Netero’s expression changed slightly upon hearing this. He was silent for a moment, then said, "It’s too dangerous there, far beyond what he can handle."

"I can wait. What? Do you think I can’t live another ten or twenty years?" Linne looked at Netero and said in a deep voice, "Do you think I can't live another ten or twenty years?"

"Even living another hundred years is not a problem," Netero said with an awkward smile.

Suddenly, he recalled the conversation with Luo about the Dark Continent on Devil Island.

"Was the exchange condition related to information about the Dark Continent?" He looked at Linne and asked.

Linne’s eyelids slowly lifted, and his dusk-like face twitched a few times, forcing out a smile without speaking, but implicitly admitting it.

Seeing Linne’s silent acknowledgment, Netero shook his head. Although he understood, he still felt Linne’s decision was too hasty. That kind of matter couldn’t be brushed off with just a "wish."

If it were someone else, he would have given them a good lesson, but this was Linne.

However, going to the Dark Continent required many conditions: permits, means, qualifications, contracts. Essentially, no outsider could obtain the qualifications from the Permit Bureau.

In other words, going to the Dark Continent through official means was nearly impossible.

Netero stroked his beard. At this moment, three people appeared in his mind: his son Beyond, Ging, and Luo.

In his view, among the three, only Beyond could get the qualification to go to the Dark Continent. Even if Ging and Luo spent ten or twenty years, they would likely be unable to obtain the qualification through normal means.

Thinking deeply, although some of Ging’s and Luo’s behaviors warranted attention, the reality was that their chances of going to the Dark Continent were not high. As for Beyond...

As long as he remained alive, the restriction within Beyond would persist, preventing him from going to the Dark Continent.

Linne hoped Luo could go to the Dark Continent, but Netero did not. The place was too dangerous. At least, he believed Luo needed to be stronger than himself to barely qualify for going there.
