Chapter 225: Exchange

"Luo, are you serious?" Daihu moved closer.

Luo nodded, his attention fixed on the boiling point of the water.

"Could it be, you've mastered the antidote for the Happiness Mushroom?" Seeing that Luo really intended to eat the Happiness Mushroom, Daihu could only think this way.

"Didn't I say it? The poison of the Happiness Mushroom is incurable," Luo said.

Even the White Smoke font had not provided a method to detoxify the Happiness Mushroom, and he trusted the White Smoke font.

"What about you..." Daihu was completely baffled, unable to understand what Luo was thinking.

"It's not deadly."

Luo casually spoke and then stared at the water in the stone pot, saying nothing, while the black cat floated nearby, watching expectantly.

The White Smoke font was a tool for detecting poison. Once Luo used God's Hand to separate the toxin, the White Smoke font further confirmed that the Happiness Mushroom had become non-toxic.

Soon, the water boiled. Luo cut the detoxified Happiness Mushroom in half and threw it into the pot, making no further moves.

With God's Hand, Luo didn't need to carry a kitchen knife to process the ingredients.

The black cat looked on, puzzled, "Aren't we making mushroom cream soup?"

"The flavor of clear soup is better," Luo said.

"I want the cream soup!" The black cat suddenly protested loudly.

"Then make it yourself."

The black cat was left speechless by Luo's response.

The plain mushroom clear soup only required careful attention to the cooking time.

Soon, the mushrooms were cooked and did not emit any fragrance.

Luo served the mushroom clear soup from the stone pot. All the utensils in the house, including bowls and chopsticks, were made of stone.

"Sanbica, come and eat."

Luo served the mushroom clear soup, calling out to Sanbica.

"Aren't we waiting for Biscuit?" Sanbica looked up.

"She won't be back so soon. Let's eat," Luo said.

Sanbica nodded slightly and came over with a book in hand.

On the stone table, a large bowl of mushroom clear soup steamed invitingly, a real treat in the cold rainy weather of winter.

Yet, this was a deadly mushroom soup! And it was incurably poisonous!

Watching Luo serve a bowl of mushroom soup to Sanbica, Geru could not sit still. She quickly walked over, looked at Luo, and said in a serious tone, "If you want to die, I won't stop you."

After speaking, she shifted her gaze to Sanbica and said, "This is poisonous mushroom soup, incurable, drinking it will definitely kill you."

By then, the black cat had already taken a bowl to a corner and started tasting it, ignoring these trivial matters.

Sanbica held the stone bowl and quietly looked at Geru, then after a moment said, "Didn't Luo say? It's not deadly."

This was the first thing Sanbica had said to Geru since their meeting, leaving Geru speechless.

But even speechless, Geru wanted to scream, "He said it's not deadly, and you just believe him?"

Sanbica nodded, calmly saying, "I believe."

"Do you even know what kind of mushroom this is?" Geru glared.

"I know."

Sanbica put down the bowl and then picked up the book she had set aside.

Geru looked at the book in Sanbica's hands, suddenly stunned.

The book was not thick, with a few words on it: Talmah Mountains Travel Guide.

Sanbica flipped the book open, quickly turning to a page, then pointing at a color picture on it and saying to Geru, "It's this one, right?"

The color picture was indeed the Happiness Mushroom, with very detailed explanations below it, and a skull icon in the lower right corner, the exclusive mark of a deadly poison.

This indicated that Sanbica not only knew about it but was very clear about the Happiness Mushroom.

Geru took a deep breath, then silently turned away, no longer intervening in the matter.

Daihu was at a loss nearby. What was this situation? It was like two perfectly normal people discussing how to die.

Luo watched Geru walk away and then looked at Sanbica's calm expression, scratching his cheek.

Sanbica put down the book and then took a sip of soup from the stone bowl, her eyes squinting immediately, followed by her picking up half a mushroom and biting into it, chewing thoughtfully.

Luo wasn't idle either, tasting the mushroom.

Upon entering the mouth, a flavor that was indescribable spread through the taste buds to the central nerves of taste.

Luo's brow furrowed slightly; even with his unusual taste buds, he could not discern what the flavor was. It seemed like a mix of sour, sweet, salty, bitter

, and spicy, without any specific order, a chaotic combination.

Every time the mushroom touched the tip of his tongue, the combination's order changed, thus creating another flavor.

But no matter what the flavor was, it was better than any gourmet flavor Luo had tasted before.

It was as if... all the flavors he had tasted in his memory were turned inside out, then fused into various flavors.

After swallowing the mushroom, Luo and Sanbica gradually became immersed.

This was the happiest flavor, surpassing all the delicacies they had tasted before, yet in reality, it was just ordinary mushroom clear soup without any seasoning or high culinary techniques.

After just one bite, Luo put down the stone bowl, no longer wanting another.

Because one taste was enough.

Sanbica, on the other hand, finished all the mushroom clear soup in the bowl and then put down the stone bowl.

The black cat, unlike Luo and Sanbica, wasn't so easily satisfied; he quickly finished one bowl and then started on a second.

Five minutes later, Luo and Sanbica were still normal.

Daihu and Geru's eyes flashed with a deep sense of loss.

Unscientific!

"Are you... okay?" Daihu asked cautiously.

"Rare opportunity, do you want to try?" Luo simply served a bowl of soup and handed it to Daihu.

Daihu looked at the bowl of soup, hesitated for a moment, then thinking he had nothing to lose, took a big sip of the soup, biting into half a mushroom along with it.

Instantly, the miraculous flavor burst in his mouth, his eyes squinting immediately, and his mind filled with many wonderful scenes, seemingly reaching the bliss he had always wanted.

"And you?"

Luo looked at Geru, finding it interesting to let a professional hunter who understood poisons taste an incurable poison firsthand.

Geru was silent; the poison's time was twenty seconds, but now six minutes had passed, yet Luo and Sanbica were fine.

After Daihu ate the mushroom, she patiently waited thirty seconds, seeing that Daihu was fine, she then said, "Give me a bowl."

"You missed your chance," Luo said with a smiling eye.

"What do you mean?" Geru's face hardened.

"I don't feel like giving it to you now," Luo still smiled.

Geru was instantly enraged, feeling teased and harshly rejected.

"How about this, exchange it for all types of poisons you carry on you, not only will I give you a bowl, but I will also tell you why eating the Happiness Mushroom won't harm you," Luo said.

He knew Geru's combat relied mainly on poisons, so she definitely had other toxins on her, and he wanted Geru's toxins because God's Hand could be combined with the poison to wield decent power.

"You..." Geru felt terrible.

"Think it over," Luo smiled.

He wanted Geru's toxins, which was also a spontaneous idea, marking his first step into the identity of a poison hunter.
