Chapter 201: Shortcomings

After hearing Bisky's evaluation of him, Luo felt exhausted, realizing that he had narrowly escaped being crossed off.

"A person only realizes their own shortcomings when pushed into a corner, but by then, it's often too late to change," Bisky said as she walked ahead.

"My body has become a burden to my Nen," Luo whispered.

"To be more specific, you have too many shortcomings."

"So many..." Luo had only noticed his lack of physical strength.

"Your physical strength is a key shortcoming. You always distribute some of your aura to your limbs, which essentially weakens the strength of your attacks."

"Just like you said, your body has become a burden to your Nen, and the result of this inversion is that you're always wasting meaningless aura."

"Another thing, the moment of explosive thinking!" Bisky glanced back at Luo.

"Explosive thinking at the moment? What's that?" Luo asked, puzzled.

"It's an important combat skill when using Nen against various types of enemies. During battle, you need to think of several countermeasures in an instant, then choose the most suitable one and act in an extremely short time."

"Antomu's ability to think explosively in moments is excellent, honed through countless battles. If you can't match Antomu's thinking speed, even if you are physically stronger, you won't get the upper hand in close combat."

"Your lack of combat experience is thus a fatal shortcoming, but it can be trained by shortening your thinking time and developing reflex actions. That’s for the third stage."

Bisky continuously pointed out Luo's shortcomings, even describing them as fatal flaws, making Luo feel uneasy.

Without Bisky pointing them out, he wouldn’t know how many years it would take to recognize these issues.

The saying that the forebears plant the trees for the later generations to enjoy the shade is not without reason. With guidance, you can start on the right path from the beginning.

"Although you have many shortcomings, you also have some impressive qualities."

Bisky thought of the battle between Luo and Antomu, a classic case of the underdog challenging the strong. From all aspects, Luo was at a disadvantage, yet he performed admirably.

"Your fundamental Nen abilities are solid, your control over the details of Nen is not weak, and your battle assessment skills are also quite good. These are your existing advantages."

"What is battle assessment capability?" Bisky didn't say, Luo really wouldn't know that there were so many intricacies to battle techniques. He hadn't experienced many fights, usually just responding to moves as they came, or simply overpowering the opponent.

"Observing and analyzing an enemy's abilities, and quickly devising attack tactics during combat, that is battle assessment capability." Bisky extended her index finger and calmly said, "The first stage of your training is to build up your body, everything else comes after."

According to the future training plan for Luo, if unchanged, it would consist of three stages.

"Mhm." Luo nodded. The style practiced by Bisky should have some special methods that double the results with half the effort.

Having Bisky's personal guidance was indeed incredibly lucky; that Hunter Exam was truly worth it.

The sun set in the west, and the sky gradually darkened.

Luo led Bisky back to the lakeside cabin, while the black cat hurriedly reverted to its Lv1 appearance and used its eyes to urge Luo to start working quickly, after dropping the crab claw meat inside the house.

Luo ignored him, first taking Bisky to greet Sanbica.

"Is she your master?" Upon Luo's introduction, Sanbica was stupefied.

In her view, it was normal for Luo, who was so young and talented, to have a master, but... Bisky looked only a year or two older than Luo?

Seeing that Sanbica seemed to misunderstand something, Luo explained, "I just took her as my master today."

This explanation made Sanbica think even more crookedly. She recalled the last time Luo hitched a ride and flirted with a beautiful woman, quietly watching Luo, she asked, "Is this your latest flirting tactic?"

This term was something she picked up online, and it fit perfectly here.

"No!"

Luo’s face changed slightly as he hurriedly waved his hands to deny it. Could he possibly flirt with a girl like Bisky?

Sanbica didn't speak, but her eyes clearly expressed disbelief.

Seeing that Sanbica seemed to confirm her guess, Luo quickly explained further: "Don't look at her like that, her actual age is... ah!"

Before he could finish, Bisky slapped him on the back where he was injured, causing him to cry out. After this warning from Bisky, he could no longer continue.

"Let me introduce myself again, a one-star gemstone Hunter, Bisky."

With a slap, Bisky pushed Luo

aside and looked at Sanbica, shining her license during the second introduction.

Having a star-rated license is different from a normal one, it can be distinguished at a glance, and showing the license is more persuasive than any words.

"One star...!" Seeing the one-star Hunter license, Sanbica's expression changed. She hadn't been with the Association for long, but she understood what a one-star meant.

Bisky just smiled at the astonished Sanbica. A woman's age is a secret, and if it can be kept, she will not reveal it.

Luo, holding his injured back, shrank to the side and said no more.

Before returning to the cabin, Luo had briefly introduced Sanbica to Bisky, so there was no surprise when Bisky met Sanbica.

Now that they were acquainted, under Sanbica’s probing, Luo recounted everything that had happened in the tomb, and clarified the black cat's identity.

After hearing Luo's narrative, Sanbica wanted to say something but eventually remained silent. She was relieved that Luo was safe and thought that if she had been there at the time, it might not have been so dangerous.

However, Luo was grateful that he hadn't let Sanbica accompany him then, as it would have been difficult to ensure her safety with her skills.

Later, Sanbica treated Luo's injuries, which were supposed to take two weeks to heal, but she managed to shorten the recovery to about three days.

Bisky then noticed Sanbica’s Nen, her eyes suddenly brightened, and she started thinking about how to utilize Sanbica’s Nen to push Luo's training to the limit.

With Sanbica's Nen, combined with her ability to eliminate fatigue, they could squeeze out an additional third of the year's training time.

After receiving the treatment, Luo went to check the crab claw meat brought by the black cat.

"The promised garlic and vermicelli steamed crab." The black cat stared at Luo, who was inspecting the crab claw meat. If not for Bisky’s deterrent presence, he would have already reminded Luo to start working, rather than just using his eyes, which Luo deliberately ignored.

Luo paid no attention to the black cat but placed his hand on the crab claw meat.

"It's A-grade ingredients…"

Through the introduction in the White Smoke font, Luo was secretly surprised.
