Chapter 151: Answering the Challenge

"God's Hand combined with the Almighty indeed cannot effectively kill the enemy, but it can rely on its characteristics to defeat the enemy. Even Saber's incessantly resilient shield cannot withstand it, let alone others, but it's unknown what the limits of God's Hand and the Almighty are. If even secondary Nen users cannot resist, what about primary Nen users, or even star-level Nen users? With their aura, can they withstand the characteristics of God's Hand?

Before trying, Luo did not know; he had obtained the Almighty and had received significant benefits from that obsession. He was already quite satisfied. Luo looked towards Machi and the others; the battle was still ongoing, although not entirely resolved, but they clearly had the upper hand, and it seemed it wouldn't be long before they could defeat everyone.

Luo watched for a while and noticed that Uvogin and Nobunaga's coordination was the main reason for suppressing the opposition, while the secondary reason was Machi using Nen threads to restrain the opponent's movements. Having seen enough, he then withdrew his gaze.

"Although I am not inclined to slaughter indiscriminately, your lives will not be spared," Luo said, turning to look at the Nen users lying on the ground, all of whom had been severed in body but were still alive due to the characteristics of God's Hand. Hearing Luo's words, those lying on the ground showed expressions of despair.

Luo paid them no heed, leaped onto the rooftop, found the person who had thrown the grenades earlier, and retrieved several grenades from them. He then jumped down from the rooftop, pulled the pins of all the grenades, and threw them towards Saber and his group.

"Boom! Boom!"

The series of explosions swallowed up the Nen users lying on the ground. Luo did not look at the outcome and walked towards where Machi and the others were. Whether these grenades killed them or not, Luo had no intention of pursuing further.

Even if some people miraculously survived, unless they found an Exorcist, they could only live in pain for the rest of their lives, yet Exorcists were not so easily found. After the explosion's aftermath had dissipated, Luo did not check the situation behind him.

No need to summon the book, he knew quite a few pages had blackened, and the pages occupied were nearing one hundred, but with almost a thousand pages still available, there was no need to worry about running out.

As the battle drew to a close, Meteor Street paid a heavy price. If not for Elder Lu'er's final self-detonation, perhaps Luo and Sanbica could have left Meteor Street directly without facing this siege.

At that time, what Elder Lu'er had in mind was possibly to perish together with Luo. If the self-detonation couldn't kill Luo, it could at least notify the rest of Meteor Street with the noise.

In terms of the process, it indeed went as he had predicted, but the outcome was different from what he had expected. Probably, the deceased Elder Lu'er never thought that Luo and Sanbica could suppress the power gathered in Meteor Street.

In the end, who could have foreseen that the key was Sanbica's virus? Even as a bystander, Illumi wouldn't have expected it because Nen is inherently elusive.

In fact, even without Sanbica, Luo could have easily left Meteor Street. This corresponds to two outcomes; with Sanbica accompanying him, although it affected Luo's freedom, using her Nen could alleviate much pressure.

Without Sanbica, given Luo's strength, he could avoid the major battle and leave Meteor Street comfortably. However, given Meteor Street's relentless style, he would inevitably face retaliation from Meteor Street later on.

Now, with the four elders dead and Luo's display of power in this battle, it was enough to make Meteor Street give up on retaliation, thus eliminating future troubles.

Leaving behind the paralyzed bodies of Meteor Street's residents, Luo and his group left Meteor Street through the east exit.

What the residents of Meteor Street dispersed to other areas would think when they saw the mess had nothing to do with Luo. Perhaps Meteor Street should feel fortunate; if Sanbica were a more indifferent person, her virus could have killed those thousands of fallen people instead of just taking away control of their bodies.

As a spectator, Illumi witnessed the process and outcome of Luo single-handedly suppressing and winning over the entire Meteor Street. He watched Luo and his group leave the east street, biting his lip slightly. The disparity... was too apparent!

On that rainy night, his decision to retreat seemed exceptionally wise. This man, Luo, was not to be trifled with lightly.

Illumi made his decision silently and planned to return to Kukuroo Mountain and inform his father and grandfather. Any assassination missions related to Luo should be strictly off-limits!

This was a warning, based on his judgment, given to

his father and grandfather. Whether they heeded it or not was not for him to decide.

Throughout, Luo never noticed Illumi's presence, which wasn't surprising given that the Zoldyck family were skilled assassins and Illumi's ability to hide was beyond Luo's current level of perception.

After leaving Meteor Street, Luo and his group met up with Chrollo and others outside.

Seeing Luo and his group unharmed, a flicker of surprise passed deep in Chrollo's eyes, and he asked subconsciously, "What's the result?"

He was not interested in the losses of Meteor Street; he just wanted to know to what extent Luo and Sanbica could pressure Meteor Street to emerge completely unscathed.

"A few hundred people died," Luo replied casually, not specifically mentioning that all four elders had died.

A few hundred people...

Chrollo had a certain understanding of Meteor Street's combat-ready personnel. When facing external threats, they could quickly assemble a force of around three thousand.

If only a few hundred had died, according to Meteor Street's style, it should not be possible for Luo and Sanbica to leave unharmed. So why were the two not only able to leave comfortably but also completely unharmed?

Chrollo was curious, but he did not ask further. Curious as he was, it was not necessary to know everything.

Ultimately, this matter was less attractive to him than an ancient book. He didn't linger on this topic, just glanced at the knife in Luo's hand, and then fell silent.

This knife he had seen before; it was one of Elder Lu'er's collection items, a knife almost rusted to junk, yet Luo had specifically chosen this knife over more valuable ancient artifacts.

Originally, Elder Lu'er's Nen was one of his targets, but because of Luo's plan, he had given up on it. However, he didn't feel it was a pity; it was just a Nen with limited scope.

Everyone gathered on an open space, Uvogin suddenly looked at Luo and said, "The matter is settled, now onto the main business."

"Huh?" Luo was pondering where to part ways with the troupe when he heard Uvogin's words, somewhat puzzled.

Uvogin's left hand formed a palm, his right hand a fist, and they collided with each other, making a muffled sound, and he said, "Let's fight."

Luo sighed upon hearing this.

"The condition for you to join the troupe was to defeat you, you said that yourself," Machi said indifferently.

"Even a group fight is fine, right?" Nobunaga chuckled, joining in.

Luo looked at the three of them, seriously said, "You've already seen my strength, so... where do you get the confidence?"

Hearing Luo's rather impolite words, Machi, Uvogin, and Nobunaga fell silent.

Indeed, they had witnessed Luo's strength, lacking enough confidence to defeat him, but even so, they didn't want to give up just like that.

They had already agreed to Chrollo to join the troupe; they wouldn't go back on their word, so they must make Luo join the troupe, becoming part of the collective.

"Quite an interesting condition, I too would like you to join the troupe, so... you'll agree to fight me, right?" Just as Machi and the others fell silent, Feitan suddenly walked up to Luo, his slender brows and eyes showing little emotion.

Luo looked at Feitan, feeling his fighting spirit, and said lightly, "You seem to dislike me quite a bit?"

"Yes."

Feitan hardly paused before responding to Luo's question.

He had just said he wanted Luo to join the troupe, and the next second he confirmed to Luo: I don't like you!

Such a contrast in attitudes, yet the person involved seemed very calm, as if these were all trivial matters.

What's important is... he wants to fight Luo.

Now, he was confident with the knife in hand, not to kill Luo in front of everyone, but to defeat him.

Luo thought for a moment and nodded, "Alright, let's have a fight then."

To kill a chicken to scare the monkey, he intended to treat the Feitan, who disliked him, as a chicken to be slaughtered.
