I like that better... I’m not sure how to put this in words, so bear with me... whatever the delta is between the music and the vocals (n% louder) maybe shrink that by maybe 1/4-1/3 (down to 2/3-3/4 * n%)? Just a smidge down so that when the voice comes in it isn’t a jolt. I hope that makes sense, and that’s just my opinion.

I think I may be inadvertently causing a strange feedback loop, if you follow. I often switch from laptop to mobile device when producing, (using bandlab online DAW). This means constantly changing headphones from over ear ,(scarletts) to ear buds (Samsung s10). May there's also the inconsistent environment (in the car, at supermarket etc). I should stick to the same equipment and environment to set the final mix 🤔 to achieve consistency? And definitely work using the over-ear scarlets headphones. I love the feedback and assistance to get this right, thank you.

I am more than happy to do so. Just take it with a grain of salt. I agree that producing in the supermarket may be asking a bit much from the equipment. 😉 As tempting as it is to squeeze every available moment out of the day, sometimes it may be better to reallocate “in the field” time to less sensitive tasks. Or maybe be a little self indulgent and listen to something fun. I’ve got some audios in Reddit under u/SubMeTender that you might enjoy. They’re definitely rough around the edges in terms of audio quality (I’m trying a little to learn by osmosis by being a fly on the wall with your process), but you may enjoy them nonetheless. I appreciate your openness to feedback and your generosity in sharing your process. And I feel like your content carries a payload of positivity and healthy self thinking that’s sorely lacking and needed more than ever these days. 💕
