in the (still not animated part of) manga asirpa's asked ogata 'is the food hinna? what's your favorite food, ogata? if you had your favorite food would you be able to say hinna?' and ogata just dissociated but then few chapters later we got his Anglerfish Nabe backstory. so its kind of a payoff for the manga reader after all these chapters to see ogata says hinna but even in anime its kinda unpredicted all the same! he has some good fucking oup hes saying hinna....(did i just say...)hinna. im glad you guys are enjoying this episode!! and love to see you enjoy abashiri convicts' history of why they ended up in the prison at the end of the world. the 'I'm told Ainu means Human, I came to this land and became Human.' got me every time. the manslayer's VA passed a year or two ago but his voice acting still lives on. RIP Kiyokawa Motomu-san Also the next episode, and episodes all the way to the finale will be such a treat to see unfolded (or still folded for the 4th season) uhuuwueueuueueueu you're both onto something and it's gonna be soooo fun 😳😳😳😳😳

Before being sent to prison, Yoichiro was able to have a wife and had a new life in Ainu kotan, whereas Hijikata spent most of his life in prison. I think it is both cool and sad that Hijikata is still being so powerful and so ambitious because his time has not proceeded since the day he "died" in Hakodate.
