Gesicht is one of my favourite anime/manga protagonists, and rewatching Pluto is eyeopening and heartbreaking. Episode 1 even has the robot constables wife saying "Please dont erase my memories of my husband"

It’s very interesting how none of the robots are truly allowed to express themselves. They have been told that they’re perfect machines, yet none of them are allowed to hate or feel negative emotions. It’s to the point where they can’t even fathom those emotions existing within themselves. If someone killed Gesicht’s wife, this society would frown upon him if he even showed signs of anger. They would wipe his memory cause humans and robots aren’t equal. I can’t wait to see where this goes
