If I recall, this episode takes place before episode 3, hence why it's such an abrupt departure from the cliffhanger of episode 5. I believe they decided to shift it over because of timing with the anniversary of the Sichuan earthquake; they wanted to have the earthquake episode coincide with the anniversary as a sort of memorial for the disaster.
