You mentioned it - Paul was concerned precisely with the way things were going with Rudy and Slyphy, worried she would be too dependent on him.

Oh yeahhhh. Regarding sword styles, you can think of them in Star Wars Lightsaber forms. Sword God Style = Form IV Ataru (aggressive offense, emphasis on ending the battle as quickly as possible) Water God Style = Form III Soresu (stalwart defense, parrying and blocking attacks, even deflecting magical projectiles) North God Style = no real form but uses the principles of Jar’Kai (dual wielding) and Sokan (using the environment) as well as saber throwing techniques

Paul & Zenith are both pretty far above the average, almost at the top of the realistically achievable power scale. Anyone above them is entering the realm of unreasonably strong.

At least this show treats tsunderes more realistically. Other people dont like it and there are consequences for her behavior.

While Paul isnt a great guy, your letting that cloud your perspective on Paul's actions. Preventing Rudy from grooming isnt an added bonus for the audience. Its specifically WHY paul is doing this. At first, Paul really did want him to go the straight and narrow path of being in a relationship with Sylphie. He then noticed the grooming tendencies. It's why onl multiple occasions he says specifically "this wont be good for sylphie" He's more worried about protecting her from grooming than anything else. The goal is to let them get some space, develop as people, and then let them reunite. If they still care for each other then, then that's great. Paul is a much deeper, nuanced character than youre giving him credit for.

They'll come to understand this later. There isn't really much nuance that has been established at this point in the story, so I wouldn't really fault them for not recognizing it yet.

Agreed, it was their mutual dependence he was trying to interrupt not any "grooming" behavior, because he would just see a little boy and little girl who have a crush their entire life and end up together. It's really not like Rudy was spoiled for choice because if he wasn't sent away he was in a small village where the available partner list probably began and ended with Sylphie. He was hoping for both Rudy and Sylphie to broaden their horizons and develop independently. I'm sure if they met back up later and still wanted to get together he would have been fine with it after they had some time apart.

Eris gets her head stomped into concrete floor by the guard, with teeth and blood splattered around. Caleb > Yeah, that's totally reasonable thing to do as part of a "ruse" to make her trust Rudeus, he can cast healing spell afterwards. This was so funny, I laughed for a good few minutes xD
